Safety instructions
The unit may only be used once it has been properly installed according to the instructions
and guidelines given in the installer manual of the unit.
The unit must be lifted or handled keeping into consideration and respecting the local safety
regulations. Never move the unit alone: it is heavy.
Do not open the casing. The installer makes sure that all parts that can cause personal injury
are safely contained within the casing.
The unit can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the unit in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved.
Children must not play with the unit.
Children must not clean and maintain the unit.
In case a flaw or a malfunctioning are suspected, please follow these instructions:
Never open the case. Maintenance interventions must be operated exclusively by an authorised expert.
The unit contains refrigerant gas and it is designed to avoid gas leakages.
In the event of a leakage:
■do not touch the unit at least for one hour;
■keep windows and doors opened in the room where the unit is placed;
■contact the installer or Zehnder assistance service for any request.

3 Unpacking and placement: precautions and safety advices
This step must be followed by a qualified installer. Prepare the top part of ComfoAir Q placing the two
EPP standoffs and above them inserting the 4 gaskets on the ducts end.
Unpack carefully the unit placing it on top of the ComfoAir Q without damaging the gaskets.
3.1 Safety instructions
Always respect safety regulations, precautions and the instructions provided in this document.
In case of lack of respect of those there is the risk of personal injuries or serious damage of
the unit.
Never open the case. The installer will verify that all the potentially dangerous components
will be protected behind the frame.
Installation, commissioning, maintenance must be done by a qualified technician. Hazardous
or unaware operation can cause severe damages to people or the unit or wrong functioning
of the ventilation system.
Do not modify nor force the unit or its features and specifications illustrated in this document.
Modifications can cause fatal damages to the unit and personal injuries.
Do not disconnect the unit from the electric power if not conversely specified in the manuals.
This could bring to problems like undesired humidity accumulation and even to mould creation.
Remember to clean every grid or valve at least every six months.
All these precautions will help to ensure a comfortable environment and a high air quality. The steps
outlined above will also help to preserve the unit from dirt, pollution and contamination.

5. Connection and commissioning: check and test - set-up (installer)
Ensure the ComfoAir Q has the latest firmware version (version 1.10 or above) and if
not this must be upgraded by following the usual procedure (see ComfoAirQ manual) or
through the ComfoClime Control app (see ComfoClime User/app manual).
To initialize the product, proceed as follows:

1Place the ComfoAir Q in its designed place.
2Install the ComfoClime as explained in the ComfoClime installer manual.
3Connect the main ducts to the upper part of the ComfoClime.

Connect the condensation drain to the drain network through an external wet siphon (10cm
guard), choosing the preferred side (see ComfoClime installer manual).
For some countries a further open funnel connection could be required.
5Connect the unit to the power supply: firstly the ComfoAir Q and secondly the ComfoClime.
They switch on automatically.
6Perform the ComfoAir Q commissioning following the instructions on its display (See
ComfoAir Q installer manual).

To configure and operate the ComfoClime the user must install the ComfoClime Control app
by downloading it from Google Play or Apple Store.
Refer to the app manual to provide the provisioning of the system.

6. Normal maintenance and cleaning
It’s strongly recommended to perform a proper maintenance and cleaning, following the messages
appearing in the ComfoAirQ display (filters replacement); an accurate overall cleaning must be
performed at least every 2 years by Zehnder service personnel.
It’s mandatory that only authorised personnel can operate on the internal components of the unit.
7. Warranty
The ComfoClime is covered by a manufacturer’s warranty for a period of 24 months after after fitting,
and up to a maximum of 30 months after the date of manufacture. Warranty claims may only be
submitted for material faults and/or construction faults arising during the warranty period. In the case
of a warranty claim, the ComfoClime must not be dismantled without written permission from the
manufacturer. Spare parts are only covered by guarantee, if they were supplied by the manufacturer
and have been installed by an approved installer.
The warranty becomes invalid if:
■The guarantee period has expired;
■The unit is used without the filters properly installed in the ComfoAir Q;
■Parts are used that have not been supplied by the manufacturer;
■Non-authorised changes or modifications have been made to the unit.
CAUTION!
The supplier shall not be held liable for any damage, to things or people, caused by
accidents due to a failure to comply with the instructions provided in this manual
and in the following chapters.

8. Front LEDs meaning
In the front panel there are two function LEDs:
Left (multicolour LED):
■RED permanent: heating mode.
■BLU permanent: cooling mode.
■OFF: the device is off (no need or the
ComfClime is in intermediate season).
■GREEN blinking: an error has occured (see
notification in the app).
Right (GREEN):
■Fast blinking: ComfoNet BUS off.
■Slow blinking: ComfoNet is connecting.
■Permanent ON: ComfoNet properly
connected and working.
9. Troubleshooting
In case of problems or malfunctioning it is recommended not to intervene personally but
contact the authorised service company or Zehnder hotline.

Öffnen Sie das Gehäuse nicht. Der Installateur muss sicherstellen, dass alle Teile,
dieVerletzungen verursachen können, sicher im Gehäuse untergebracht sind.
Das Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und darüber sowie von Personen mit verringerten
physischen, sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und Wissen
benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des Geräts
unterwiesen wurden und die damit verbundenen Gefahren verstehen.
Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.

Falls ein Defekt oder eine Fehlfunktion vermutet wird, befolgen Sie bitte diese Anweisungen:
Öffnen Sie niemals das Gehäuse. Wartungseingriffe dürfen nur von einem autorisierten Fachmann
durchgeführt werden.
Das Gerät enthält Kältemittelgas und ist so konstruiert, dass Gaslecks vermieden werden.
Im Falle einer Leckage:

3 Auspacken und Aufstellen: Vorsichtsmaßnahmen und Sicherheitshinweise
Dieser Schritt muss von einem qualifizierten Installateur durchgeführt werden. Bereiten Sie den
oberen Teil des ComfoAirQ vor, indem Sie die beiden EPP-Abstandshalter anbringen und darüber
die 4 Dichtungen an den Kanalenden einlegen.
Packen Sie das Gerät vorsichtig aus und legen Sie es auf das ComfoAirQ, ohne die Dichtungen zu beschädigen.
3.1 Sicherheitshinweise
Beachten Sie stets die Sicherheitsvorschriften, Vorsichtsmaßnahmen und die in diesem
Dokument enthaltenen Anweisungen. Bei Nichtbeachtung besteht die Gefahr von
Personenschäden oder einer schweren Beschädigung des Geräts.
Öffnen Sie niemals das Gehäuse. Der Installateur muss sich vergewissern, dass alle potenziell
gefährlichen Komponenten hinter dem Rahmen geschützt sind.
Die Installation, Inbetriebnahme und Wartung muss von einem qualifizierten Techniker
durchgeführt werden. Eine gefährliche oder unsachgemäße Bedienung kann zu schweren
Schäden an Personen oder am Gerät oder zu einer Fehlfunktion des Lüftungssystems führen.
Nehmen Sie keine Änderungen am Gerät oder an den in diesem Dokument dargestellten
Funktionen und Spezifikationen vor.
Modifikationen können zu schweren Schäden am Gerät und zu Personenschäden führen.
Trennen Sie das Gerät nicht von der Stromversorgung, wenn dies nicht in den Handbüchern
angegeben ist. Dies könnte zu Problemen wie unerwünschter Feuchtigkeitsansammlung und
sogar zu Schimmelbildung führen.
Denken Sie daran, jedes Gitter oder Ventil mindestens alle sechs Monate zu reinigen.
All diese Vorkehrungen tragen dazu bei, ein angenehmes Umfeld und eine hohe Luftqualität zu

5. Anschluss und Inbetriebnahme: Prüfen und Testen - Einrichten (Installateur)
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das ComfoAirQ über die neueste Firmware-Version (Version 1.10
oder höher) verfügt. Ist dies nicht der Fall, müssen Sie es nach dem üblichen Verfahren (siehe
ComfoAirQ-Handbuch) oder über die ComfoClime Control App (siehe ComfoClime User/App-
Handbuch) aktualisieren.
Um das Produkt zu initialisieren, gehen Sie wie folgt vor:

3Schließen Sie die Hauptkanäle an den oberen Teil des ComfoClime an.

Schließen Sie den Kondenswasserablauf über einen externen nassen Siphon (10 cm
Schutz) an das Abwassernetz an und wählen Sie die bevorzugte Seite (siehe ComfoClime-
Installationshandbuch).
Für einige Länder könnte eine weitere offene Trichterverbindung erforderlich sein.
5Schließen Sie das Gerät an das Stromnetz an: erstens das ComfoAirQ und zweitens das
ComfoClime. Sie schalten sich automatisch ein.
6Führen Sie die Inbetriebnahme des ComfoAirQ gemäß den Anweisungen auf dem Display
durch (siehe Installationshandbuch des ComfoAirQ).

Um ComfoClime zu konfigurieren und zu betreiben, muss der Benutzer die ComfoClime
Control-App installieren, indem er sie von Google Play oder Apple Store herunterlädt.
Die Einrichtung des Systems ist im Handbuch der Anwendung beschrieben.
Um das gesamte Handbuch herunterzuladen, besuchen Sie bitte die lokale Zehnder-
Website, Bereich DOWNLOAD oder Verwenden Sie den QR-Code auf der Vorderseite
dieses Handbuchs.
6. Normale Wartung und Reinigung
Es wird dringend empfohlen, eine ordnungsgemäße Wartung und Reinigung gemäß den Meldungen
auf dem ComfoAir Q-Display (Filterwechsel) durchzuführen;eine sorgfältige Gesamtreinigung
muss mindestens alle 2 Jahre von Zehnder-Kundendienstpersonal durchgeführt werden.
Es ist vorgeschrieben, dass nur autorisiertes Personal an den internen Komponenten des
Geräts arbeiten darf.

7. Garantie
Für den ComfoClime gilt eine Herstellergarantie von 24 Monaten nach dem Einbau bis maximal
30Monate nach dem Herstellungsdatum. Gewährleistungsansprüche können nur für Material- und/oder
Konstruktionsfehler geltend gemacht werden, die während der Gewährleistungsfrist auftreten. ImFalle
eines Garantieanspruchs darf das ComfoClime ohne schriftliche Genehmigung des Herstellers nicht
demontiert werden. Ersatzteile sind nur dann von der Garantie abgedeckt, wenn sie vom Hersteller
geliefert und von einem zugelassenen Installateur eingebaut worden sind.
Die Garantie erlischt, wenn:
■Die Garantiezeit abgelaufen ist;
■Das Gerät verwendet wird, ohne dass die Filter ordnungsgemäß im ComfoAirQ installiert sind;
■Teile verwendet werden, die nicht vom Hersteller geliefert wurden;
■An dem Gerät nicht autorisierte Änderungen oder Modifikationen vorgenommen wurden.
ACHTUNG!
Der Lieferant haftet nicht für Sach- oder Personenschäden, die durch Unfälle
verursacht werden, die auf die Nichtbeachtung der in diesem Handbuch und in
den folgenden Kapiteln enthaltenen Anweisungen zurückzuführen sind.
8. Bedeutung der Front-LEDs
Auf der Vorderseite befinden sich zwei Funktions-LEDs:
Links (mehrfarbige LED):
■ROT dauerhaft: Heizbetrieb.
■BLAU dauerhaft: Kühlbetrieb.
■OFF: das Gerät ist ausgeschaltet (kein Bedarf
oder das ComfClime befindet sich in der
Zwischensaison).
■GRÜNblinkend:Es ist einFehler aufgetreten
(siehe Benachrichtigung in der App).
Rechts (GRÜN):
■Schnelles Blinken: ComfoNet BUS aus.
■Langsames Blinken: ComfoNet stellt die
Verbindung her.
■Dauerhaft AN: Das ComfoNet ist
angeschlossen und funktioniert
ordnungsgemäß.
9. Fehlerbehebung
Bei Problemen oder Fehlfunktionen empfiehlt es sich, nicht selbst einzugreifen, sondern den
autorisierten Kundendienst oder die Hotline von Zehnder zu kontaktieren.

La unidad solo podrá utilizarse una vez que haya sido instalada correctamente de acuerdo

La unidad se deberá elevar y manipular teniendo en cuenta y respetando las normas de
seguridad locales. Nunca mueva la unidad solo: es pesada.
No abra la carcasa. El instalador debe asegurarse de que todas las piezas que pueden
provocar daños personales están contenidas de forma segura dentro de la carcasa.
La unidad puede ser utilizada por niños a partir de 8 años y por personas con capacidades
físicas, sensoriales o mentales reducidas o con falta de experiencia y conocimientos si han
recibido supervisión o instrucciones sobre el uso de la unidad de forma segura y comprenden
