Einschalten
MinoConnect wird durch ein kurzes Drücken (ca. 2s) der
gelben Taste angeschaltet (bis mindestens eine LED
leuchtet).
Im eingeschalteten Zustand blinkt die Power-LED grün.
Ausschalten
Aus dem eingeschalteten Zustand die Taste drücken und
halten bis die Power-LED wieder leuchtet (ca. 3 Sekun-
den). Dann Taste loslassen.
Hinweis: Der MinoConnect verfügt über eine Auto-Power-
Off-Funktion. Wird während der eingestellten Zeitspanne
die Taste nicht gedrückt und keine Kommandos empfan-
gen, schaltet sich das Gerät automatisch aus. Mit Hilfe der
GMM Software kann die Ausschaltzeit eingestellt werden.
Bluetooth-Pairing
Ist der MinoConnect mit einem Gerät (z.B. Laptop oder
Smartphone etc.) gepaart, blink die blaue Bluetooth-LED
und er ist für weitere Geräte nicht sichtbar. Um den Mino-
Connect mit einem anderen Gerät zu pairen, ist wie nach-
folgend beschrieben vorzugehen.
Einleitung
Das MinoConnect-Übertragungsgerät dient der Auslesung
und Konguration von Verbrauchsgeräten bzw. M-Bus-
oder Funk-Systemen entweder mittels Optokopf, serieller
Schnittstelle oder über Funk.
MinoConnect ersetzt die Kabelverbindung zwischen einem
seriellen Gerät und einem PDA/PC durch eine Bluetooth-
Verbindung.
Geräte, die bisher über RS232 mit SubD 9 Stecker an ei-
nem Computer angeschlossen wurden, können nun mit
dem MinoConnect verbunden werden.
Um alle bereitgestellten Funktionen des Gerätes nutzen
zu können, muss die ZENNER GMM Software genutzt
werden. Im Falle der Walk-by Funkauslesung kann auch
eine andere Software zum Einsatz kommen. Zum Ausle-
sen und Kongurieren von Geräten mit Funkschnittstelle
(z.B. wM-Bus) bietet ZENNER verschiedene, alternative
Softwarelösungen an. Bitte legen Sie vor Erstinbetrieb-
nahme des Gerätes die beiden beiliegenden Akkus (NiMH
1.2V min. 2.700 mAh) nach gekennzeichneter Polung in
das Akkufach ein. Danach das Gerät ca. 5 Stunden laden.
Betriebszustände
Zur besseren Übersicht, Diagnose und Fehlererkennung zeigt MinoConnect die wichtigsten Zustände mittels 7 LEDs an:

Bluetooth-Pairing zurücksetzen
■ Aus dem eingeschalteten Zustand die Taste ca. 10 Se-
kunden lang drücken bis die blaue LED leuchtet. An-
schließend Taste loslassen.
■Sobald die blaue LED leuchtet ist das Pairing gelöscht.
■Die LED leuchtet für ca. 3 Sekunden. Danach schaltet
sich der MinoConnect aus und muss neu eingeschaltet
werden.
Der MinoConnect ist nun für andere Bluetooth-Geräte wie-
der sichtbar und kann neu verbunden werden.
Verbindung über Bluetooth
Als Standardeinstellung ist MinoConnect für andere Blu-
etooth-Geräte sichtbar und zum Verbinden bereit. Mino-
Connect wird von anderen Geräten mit dem Namen „Mi-
Con_xxxx” erkannt, wobei xxxx den letzten vier Stellen der
Bluetooth-Seriennummer entspricht. Die Bluetooth-Serien-
nummer ist auf jedem MinoConnect aufgedruckt. Die zur
Verbindungsherstellung notwendige PIN des MinoConnect
lautet: „0000“.
Hinweis: Wurde ein MinoConnect mit einem Bluetooth-
Gerät gepaart, so ist er für andere Bluetooth-Geräte nicht
mehr sichtbar. Erst nach einem „Bluetooth-Pairing zurück-
setzen“ wird der MinoConnect wieder sichtbar und kann
erneut gepaart werden.
Geräteerkennung
Ähnlich wie bei anderen seriellen Schnittstellen können
verschiedene Geräte an den MinoConnect angeschlossen
werden. Abhängig vom angeschlossenen Gerät müssen
verschiedene Protokolle genutzt und verschiedene Ver-
sorgungsspannungen oder Treiber angewendet werden.
Grundsätzlich bietet MinoConnect keine automatische
Erkennung und Einstellung bzgl. Versorgung oder Schnitt-
stellen. Aber MinoConnect kann Informationen über das
verbundene Gerät liefern, wenn das Gerät einen entspre-
chenden Widerstand im D-Sub Stecker zwischen Pin1 und
Pin5 besitzt und die GMM Software benutzt wird. Eine
Sonderstellung in der Geräteerkennung stellt die höchste
Stufe (oder 7V_AUTO_ON 680kOhm) dar. Sobald dieser
Widerstand zuverlässig erkannt wird, schaltet MinoCon-
nect unabhängig die 7V Versorgung zum Ausgang. Diese
Funktion ermöglicht die direkte Verwendung der Strom-
quelle. Hauptnutzung dieser Funktion ist die einfache Ins-
tallation und Fehlerbehebung in ZR-Bus Netzwerken.
Entsorgung
Das Gerät enthält entnehmbare und auadbare Akkus/
Batterien.
Die Akkus/Batterien enthalten Stoffe, die bei nicht fachge-
rechter Entsorgung der Umwelt schaden und die mensch-
liche Gesundheit gefährden können.
Um die Abfallmengen zu reduzieren sowie nicht vermeid-
bare Schadstoffe aus Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten in
Abfällen zu reduzieren, sollen Altgeräte vorrangig wieder-
verwendet oder die Abfälle einer stofichen oder anderen
Form der Verwertung zugeführt werden.
Dies ist nur möglich, wenn Altgeräte, die Batterien oder
sonstige Zubehörteile des Produktes wieder dem Herstel-
ler zurückgeführt werden.
Unsere Geschäftsprozesse sehen in der Regel vor, dass
wir bzw. die von uns eingesetzten Fachrmen Altgeräte
inklusive Batterien und sonstigem Zubehör nach deren
Austausch bzw. Ende der Nutzungsdauer wieder mitneh-
men und fachgerecht entsorgen. Sofern diesbezüglich
keine andere vertragliche Regelung getroffen wurde, kön-
nen alternativ die Altgeräte und Zubehör auch bei unserer
Betriebsstätte in Mulda (ZENNER International GmbH &
Co. KG, Talstraße 2, 09619 Mulda) kostenlos abgegeben
werden. ZENNER stellt in jedem Fall die fachgerechte Ent-
sorgung sicher.
Achtung:
Die Geräte dürfen nicht über die kommunalen Abfall-
tonnen (Hausmüll) entsorgt werden. Sie helfen dadurch,
die natürlichen Ressourcen zu schützen und die nachhalti-
ge Wiederverwertung von stofichen Ressourcen zu för-
dern.

Introduction
The MinoConnect transmission device serves for remote
reading and conguration of the consuming appliances
respective M-Bus or radio systems either by means of op-
tohead, serial interface or via radio.
MinoConnect partially replaces the cable connection bet-
ween a serial device and a PDA/PC by a Bluetooth con-
nection.
Devices that can be connected via RS232 with SubD 9
Plug to a computer can now be connected to MinoConnect
The further connection to the PC/PDAis then via Bluetooth.
To be able to use all the functions, ZENNER GMM soft-
ware must be used.
Walk-by application: It is possible to receive data protocols
with MinoConnectRadio without using GMM-Software.
For reading and conguration of meters with radio interface
(e.g. wM-Bus) ZENNER offers various software solutions.
Before rst commissioning of the device, please insert the
two supplied batteries (NiMH 1.2V min. 2.700 mAh) with
respect to the marked polarity into the battery compart-
ment. Then charge the device about 5 hours.
Switching on
MinoConnect is turned on by a short press (approx. 2s)
on the yellow button (until at least one LED is lit). When
switched on, the power LED ashes green.
Switching off
In the ON-state please press and hold the button till the
power LED light up again (about 3 seconds). Then release
the button.
Please note: The MinoConnect has an Auto Power Off
function. If during the time period the button is not pressed
and no commands are received, the device switches itself
off automatically. By command, the switch-off time can be
set via the interface (only with GMM).
Bluetooth-Pairing
If the MinoConnect is paired with a device e.g. laptop or
smartphone, the blue Bluetooth-LED will ash and he is
not visible for more devices.
To pair with another device, please proceed as described
below.
States and actions
For a better view, but also for the diagnosis and possibly error detection in a system, MinoConnect shows the most impor-
tant states and actions with 7 coloured LED:

Power
lights after power-on, the power LED signals by different ash frequencies the following modes:

Reset Bluetooth-Pairing
■ In the ON-state please press the button (about 10 sec.)
till the blue LED is ashing, then release the button.
■As soon as the blue LED is lighting the pairing is erased.
■The LED lights for about 3 seconds. After this time the
MinoConnect switches off and must be turned on.
The MinoConnect is now visible to other Bluetooth devices
again and can be reconnected.
Connection via Bluetooth
With factory settings, MinoConnect is visible to other Blue-
tooth devices and waits for connection attempts. MinoCon-
nect is being recognized by other devices with the name
“MiCon_xxxx“ where xxxx corresponds to the last four di-
gits of the Bluetooth serial number. The Bluetooth serial
number is printed on each MinoConnect. Once the desi-
red MinoConnect is found, it can be connected. The PIN /
password to be entered to the connecting device is „0000“.
Note: If a MinoConnect has been paired with another Blue-
tooth-device, he is no longer visible for other Bluetooth-de-
vices. Only after a „Bluetooth Pairing Reset“ the MinoCon-
nect becomes visible again and can be paired once more.
Device recognition
Similar as to any other serial interface, a variety of devices
can be connected to MinoConnect. Depending on which
device is connected, different protocols must be used, and
different supply voltages or drivers have to be applied.
MinoConnect basically does not offer any automatic recog-
nition and setting about the supplies or interfaces.
But MinoConnect can provide information about the device
which is connected, if the device has a corresponding re-
sistance in the D-Sub connector between pin 1 and pin 5
and if the software GMM is being used. A special status
in the device recognition represents the highest level (or
7V_AUTO_ON 680kOhm). Once this resistance is reliab-
ly detected, MinoConnect independently switches the 7V
supply to the output.
This function allows the internal power source to be used
directly. Main use of this feature is the easy setup and trou-
bleshooting ZR-Bus networks.
Disposal
This device contains non removable and non-rechargeable
batteries (must be veried depending on the product).
Batteries contain substances, which could harm the envi-
ronment and might endanger human health if not disposed
of properly.
To reduce the disposal quantity so as unavoidable pollu-
tants from electrical and electronic equipment in waste, old
equipment should be reused prior or materials recycled or
reused as an other form.
This is only possible if old equipment, which contains bat-
teries or other accessories are disposed. Therefore please
contact the department of your local authority which is res-
ponsible for waste disposal. Alternatively a waste disposal
via ZENNER is possible.
Your local or municipal authority or the local waste disposal
company can give you information relating the collection
points for your used equipments.
Attention
Do not dispose of the devices with domestic waste.

promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.

Activer (Allumer)
MinoConnect s’active par une pression rapide (environ 2
sec.) de la touche jaune (jusqu’à ce qu’une DEL au mini-

Appairage (Couplage) Bluetooth
Si le MinoConnect est appairé à un appareil (par ex. or-
dinateur portable ou smartphone etc.) la DEL-Bluetooth
bleue clignote et l‘outil n’est pas visible pour d’autres ap-
pareils. Pour appairer le MinoConnect à un autre appareil,
suivre les indications ci-dessous.
Introduction
L’outil de transmission MinoConnect permet la relève et la
conguration des appareils de mesure, des systèmes M-
Bus ou radio au moyen d’une tête optique, d’une interface
série ou par radio. MinoConnect remplace la liaison laire
entre un appareil en série et un ordinateur portable ou de
poche par une connexion Bluetooth.
Les appareils qui jusqu’alors étaient raccordés à un or-
dinateur via RS232 avec prise SubD 9 broches peuvent
maintenant être connectés via MinoConnect.
Pour pouvoir utiliser toutes les fonctions de l’outil mis à
disposition, il est nécessaire d’utiliser le logiciel GMM de
ZENNER.
Dans le cas de la relève à distance par walkby il est pos-
sible d’utiliser également un autre logiciel. Pour la relève
et la conguration d’appareil avec interface radio (par ex.
wM-Bus) ZENNER propose différentes solutions logiciel-
les alternatives.
Avant la première mise en route de l’appareil, veuillez
placer les deux batteries jointes à la livraison (NiMH 1.2V
min. 2.700 mAh) en respectant la polarité dans le compar-
timent prévu à cet effet. Ensuite charger l’appareil environ
5 heures.
Etats d‘exploration
Pour une meilleure vue d’ensemble, diagnostic et détection de défauts, MinoConnect afche les états les plus importants
au moyen de 7 DEL’s :

Réinitialiser l’appairage (couplage) Bluetooth
■Al’état actif, maintenez la touche enfoncée pendant en-
viron 10 secondes jusqu’à ce que la DEL bleue clignote.
■ Dès que la DEL bleue clignote, l’appairage est suppri-
mé.
■La DEL clignote pour environ 3 secondes. Ensuite le
MinoConnect s’éteint et doit être réactivé.
Le MinoConnect est maintenant visible à nouveau pour
d’autres appareils Bluetooth et peut être associé à un nou-
vel appareil.
Connexion via Bluetooth
Par défaut l’outil MinoConnect est visible pour d’autres ap-
pareils Bluetooth et prêt à être associé à un autre appareil.
MinoConnect est détectable par d’autres appareils avec le
nom « MiCon xxxx », « xxxx « correspondant aux 4 der-
niers chiffres du numéro de série Bluetooth. Le numéro de
série Bluetooth est imprimé sur chaque MinoConnect. Le
code PIN nécessaire à établir la connexion du MinoCon-
nect est: „0000“.
Note: Si un MinoConnect a été associé à un autre appareil
Bluetooth, il n’est plus visible pour d’autres appareils. Il est
uniquement détectable après réinitialisation et peut alors
être appairé à nouveau.
Détection d‘appareils
Comme pour d’autres interfaces de série, différents ap-
pareils peuvent être connectés au MinoConnect. Différents
protocoles doivent être utilisés selon l’appareil connecté
ainsi que différentes tensions d’alimentation et de pilotes.
En principe MinoConnect ne propose pas la reconnais-
sanceautomatique et le paramétrage relatif àl’alimentation
ou les interfaces. Mais MinoConnect peut fournir des in-
formations sur l’appareil connecté, si ce dernier l possède
une résistance correspondante dans la prise D-Sub ent-
re Pin1 et Pin5 et si l’on utilise le logiciel GMM. Le degré
le plus élevé (ou 7V_AUTO_ ON 680kOhm) occupe une
place spécique dans la reconnaissance automatique Dès
lors que cette résistance a été reconnue de façon able,
MinoConnect passe automatiquement à l’alimentation 7V
en sortie. Cette fonction permet l’utilisation directe de la
source d’électricité. L’utilisation principale de cette fonction
est l’installation simple et le dépannage des réseaux ZR-
Bus.
Elimination
Cet appareil est pourvu de piles non amovibles et non re-
chargeables.
Ces piles contiennent des substances pouvant nuire à
l’environnement et à la santé humaine si leur élimination
n’est pas effectuée de manière professionnelle.
Pour réduire la quantité de déchets ainsi que les polluants
difcilement dégradables issus d’appareils électriques et
électroniques, les appareils usagés doivent être recyclés
en priorité resp. les matériaux qui les composent doivent
être réutilisés ou valorisés sous une autre forme.
Ceci n’est possible que si les appareils usagés, qui con-
tiennent des piles ou autres composants sont éliminés de
façon professionnelle. Pour tous renseignements, veuillez-
vous adresser aux autorités communales chargées du re-
cyclage. ZENNER peut également éliminer votre appareil
usagé.
Les points de reprise de vos appareils usagés sont dispo-
nibles par exemple à la mairie locale ou auprès des dé-
chetteries locales.
Attention:
Les appareils usagés ne doivent pas être jetés avec
les ordures ménagères.
Vous contribuez ainsi à la protection les ressources na-
turelles et à la promotion du recyclage durable des ma-
tériaux.

Accensione
MinoConnect viene disattivato con una leggera pressione
(ca. 2s) del tasto giallo (no a quando lampeggia almeno
un LED).
In condizione accesa, lampeggia il LED power verde.
Disattivazione
In condizione attivata premere il tasto e tenerlo premuto
no a quando il LED power si illumina (ca. 3 secondi). Poi
rilasciare il tasto.
Indicazione: MinoConnect dispone di una funzione Auto-
Power-Off. Se durante il periodo di tempo impostato non
viene premuto il tasto e non viene ricevuto alcun comando,
il dispositivo si spegnerà automaticamente. Con l'ausilio
del software GMM è possibile impostare il tempo di spe-
gnimento.
Accoppiamento Bluetooth
Se MinoConnect è collegato con un dispositivo (ad esem-
pio computer portatile o smartphone) lampeggia il LED
Bluetooth blue ed esso non è visibile ad altri dispositivi. Per
collegare MinoConnect con un altro dispositivo, bisogna
procedere nel modo seguente.
Introduzione
Il dispositivo di trasmissione MinoConnect serve per la let-
tura e congurazione di utenze risp. sistemi M-Bus o radio,
oppure tramite testine ottiche, interfaccia seriale o tramite
radio.
MinoConnect sostituisce il collegamento via cavo fra un
dispositivo seriale e un PDA/PC tramite collegamento
Bluetooth.
I dispositivi che prima erano collegati tramite RS232 con
connettore SubD 9 ad un computer, possono essere colle-
gati con MinoConnect.
Per poter sfruttare tutte le funzioni predisposte dal dispo-
sitivo, bisogna usare il software ZENNER GMM. In caso di
radiolettura Walk-by è possibile utilizzare anche un altro
software. Per la lettura e la congurazione dei dispositivi
con interfaccia radio (ad es. wM-Bus) ZENNER offre diver-
se soluzioni software alternative. Prima della prima messa
in servizio del dispositivo, inserire entrambe le batterie in

Ripristinare accoppiamento Bluetooth
■ In condizione spenta tenere il tasto premuto per circa 10
secondi no a quando si illumina il LED blu. Successiva-
mente rilasciare il tasto.
■Non appena si illumina il LED blu, l'accoppiamento vie-
ne cancellato.
■Il LED si illumina per circa 3 secondi. Successivamente
MinoConnec si spegne e deve essere riacceso.
MinoConnect adesso è visibile nuovamente ad altri dispo-
sitivi Bluetooth e può essere ricollegato.
Collegamento tramite Bluetooth
Come impostazione standard MinoConnect è visibile ad
altri dispositivi Bluetooth ed è pronto al collegamento. Mi-
noConnect viene riconosciuto dagli altri dispositivi con il
nome „MiCon_xxxx”, laddove xxxx rappresentano le ultime
quattro cifre del numero di serie Bluetooth. Il numero di
serie Bluetooth è stampato su ogni MinoConnect. Il PIN
necessario per il ripristino del collegamento di MinoCon-
nect è: „0000“.
Indicazione: Se un MinoConnect è stato accoppiato con
un altro dispositivo Bluetooth, allora esso non sarà più
visibile ad altri dispositivi Bluetooth. Solo dopo un “Reset
accoppiamento Bluetooth”, MinoConnect diventa nuova-
mente visibile e può essere nuovamente accoppiato.
Riconoscimento dispositivo
Proprio come in altre interfacce seriali è possibile collegare
diversi dispositivi a MinoConnect. In base al dispositivo
collegato si devono usare diversi protocolli e diverse ten-
sioni di alimentazione o driver. Inoltre MinoConnect non
offre nessun riconoscimento automatico e impostazione
sull’alimentazione o sulle interfacce. Ma MinoConnect può
fornire informazioni sul dispositivo collegato se esso è do-
tato di un’apposita resistenza nella spina D-Sub fra il Pin1
e Pin5 e se viene usato il software GMM. Una posizione
speciale nel riconoscimento del dispositivo rappresenta il
massimo livello (o 7V_AUTO_ON 680kOhm). Non appena
questa resistenza viene riconosciuta in modo afdabile,
MinoConnect attiva in maniera indipendente l’alimentazio-
ne da 7V in uscita. La funzione consente l’utilizzo diretto
della fonte di corrente. L’utilizzo principale di questa fun-
zione è l’installazione semplice e la risoluzione degli errori
nei network ZR-Bus.
Smaltimento
Il dispositivo contiene accumulatori / batterie rimovibili e
ricaricabili.
Le batterie / gli accumulatori contengono materiali che, se
smaltiti correttamente, possono danneggiare l’ambiente e
la salute umana.
Per ridurre la quantità di riuti e le quantità inevitabili di
riuti causati da dispositivi elettrici ed elettronici, i dispo-
sitivi esausti dovrebbero essere ove possibile riutilizzati o
essere riciclati in altre forme.
Ciò è possibile soltanto se i dispositivi esausti, le batte-
rie o altri elementi accessori del prodotto vengono resi al
produttore.
I nostri processi commerciali prevedono essenzialmente
che noi o le ditte specializzate da noi impiegate riprendano
con se i dispositivi esausti incluse le batterie ed altri acces-
sori dopo la loro sostituzione o la loro durata utile e che li
smaltiscano in maniera corretta. Qualora non venisse con-
cordato nulla in merito secondo il contratto, in alternativa
dispositivi esausti gli accessori possono essere consegnati
gratuitamente ai nostri stabilimenti a Mulda (ZENNER In-
ternational GmbH & Co. KG, Talstraße 2, 09619 Mulda).
ZENNER garantisce in ogni caso uno smaltimento corret-
to.
Attenzione:
I dispositivi non possono essere smaltiti assieme ai
tradizionali riuti comunali (riuti domestici). Contribu-
irete a preservare le risorse naturali e a incentivare il riuti-
lizzo sostenibile delle risorse materiali.
