1. About Instructions for Use
Before using the appliance for the first time, read the Instructions for Use carefully and
ensure you comply with the safety instructions!
•The appliance must only be used as described in these instructions. The manufacturer
is not liable for damages arising from any use contrary to the intended purpose.
•Keep these instructions for future reference.
•If you pass the appliance on to someone else, please include these instructions.
Warnings
The following warnings will be used in this operating instruction:
DANGER! High risk: Failure to observe this warning may result in an injury to
limbs and it is life threatening.
WARNING! Moderate risk: Failure to observe this warning may result in an injury
or a serious material damage.
CAUTION! Low risk: Failure to observe this warning may result in a minor injury
or material damage.
NOTE! Circumstances and specifics that must be observed when handling the appliance.
2. Safety Instruction
CAUTION! The safety precautions are part of the appliance. Read them carefully
before using your new appliance for the first time. Keep them in a place where
you can find and refer to them later on.
2.1 Intended Use
The air purifier Therapy Air Smart can be used only for indoor air purification. The device
eliminates odours, smog, dust in the air, pollen, bacteria and viruses, disintegrates
hazardous compounds emitted by household items. The multi-stage filtration system
effectively removes formaldehyde, ammonia, VOCs and other odours.
2.2 Safety Precautions
Danger of electric shock
Do not let water or any other liquid or flammable detergent enter the appliance to avoid
electric shock and/or a fire hazard.
Do not clean the appliance with water, any other liquid, or a (flammable) detergent to
avoid electric shock and/or a fire hazard.
Do not spray any flammable materials such as insecticides or fragrance around the
appliance.
Keep dry! Do not touch the appliance with wet hands.
Do not place the device close to a water source (sink, bathtub) or other devices
generating steam.
Never install the device near a heating source (heater, oven).
Do not put candles, cigarettes or other flammable objects on the device.
Never place containers with water or metal or heavy objects on the top of the device.
Never place the device on the top of another electrical appliance e.g. TV, heater.
Do not place heavy objects on the power cord.

• THIS APPLIANCE HAS A POLARIZED PLUG (ONE BLADE IS WIDER THAN THE OTHER).
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, THIS PLUG IS INTENDED TO FIT IN
A POLARIZED OUTLET ONLY ONE WAY. IF THE PLUG DOES NOT FIT FULLY IN THE
OUTLET, REVERSE THE PLUG. IF IT STILL DOES NOT FIT, CONTACT A QUALIFIED
ELECTRICIAN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DEFLECT THIS SAFETY FEATURE.
The appliance is designed to work with alternating current only. Check that the voltage
on your appliance’s data plate corresponds to your domestic power supply.

Do not use the appliance in a room with major temperature changes, as this may cause
condensation inside the appliance.
The appliance is only intended for indoor use under normal operating conditions.
3. Disposal
At the end of the air purifier lifetime, we recommend not to dispose of the
appliance as ordinary waste, but to leave it with personnel qualified to collect
such material. In this way, it will be properly disposed of and recycled. This is a
valuable aid for safeguarding our environment!
If you want to dispose of the packaging, make sure you comply with the
environmental regulations applicable in your country.

4.3 Filter Composition
Therapy Air Smart has a 360° multi-stage filtration system.
The HEPA H13 filter eliminates 99.97% of pollutants 0.3 μm in size, such as haze, smut, smoke,
pollen.
Active carbon filter uses highly effective coconut shell activated carbon to effectively remove
formaldehyde, benzene, ammonia, VOCs and other odours.
Always unplug the appliance from the power supply if you leave it unattended and
before assembling, dismantling and cleaning it.
If the power cable is damaged, do not use the appliance. The power cable must be
replaced by the Zepter authorised service centre to prevent all hazards.
Never lift the device by pulling the power cord.
Never pull on the power cord when unplugging the appliance.
The power cord must be kept out of the reach of children and must not be placed near
or come into contact with the hot parts of the appliance, sources of heat or sharp edges.
Make sure that foreign objects do not fall into the appliance through the air outlet.
Never use the appliance outdoors. Avoid exposure of the device to severe weather such
as rain, hail or wind.
Do not allow children to use the appliance without supervision.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.
This appliance may be used by children as long as they are at least 8 years old, they are
properly supervised and have received instructions as to the safe use of the appliance,
and as long as they understand the implicit risks.
Children may not play with the appliance.
This appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or by persons with little or no knowledge of the appliance, as long as they
are under proper supervision and have received instructions as to the safe use of the
appliance, and as long as they understand the implicit risks.
CAUTION!
Always place and use the appliance on a dry, stable, level, and horizontal surface.
Leave at least 20 cm free space behind and on both sides of the appliance and leave at
least 30 cm free space above the appliance.
Do not block the air inlet and outlet, e.g. by placing items on the air outlet or in front of
the air inlet.
Do not sit or stand on the appliance. Sitting or standing on the appliance may lead to
potential injury.
Do not place the appliance directly below an air conditioner to prevent condensation
from dripping onto the appliance.
Only use the original Zepter filter specially intended and designed for this appliance. Do
not use any other filters.
Combustion of the filter may cause irreversible damage to humans and/or jeopardize
other lives.

4.4 Display Overview
5. Operation
5.1 Before First Use
Therapy Air Smart is intended for home use only. It is strongly recommended to close the
doors and windows in the room where the air should be purified.

Place the device safely in the room where you want to purify air. Follow all safety precautions!
The air purifier includes a 360° multi-layer filter. The filter is protected by polybag and the
polybag must be removed before first use.
•Remove the device from the box.
•Place the product gently on its side.
WARNING! Never turn the device upside down. Do not put the device on its
display; it can result in product damage!
•Open the bottom of the device by turning the cover anti-clockwise till two arrows
are facing each other.
•Take out the filter and remove the polybag.
•Put the filter back into the device.
•Close the bottom cover by turning it clockwise.
•Lift the device to vertical position. Ensure that it is placed on flat surface.
WARNING! Avoid putting the device on the carpet with long hair. It can block air
inlets and result in product damage!

Pre-filter with nano silver praticles removes large particles of dust, mould, hairs, dandruff, pet
hairs, etc. and also eliminates bacteria and viruses.

5.2 Buttons Function
ON/OFF button
To activate the device, press ON/OFF button. The device is switched on along with one
audible signal and green LED light.
The primary setup is Automatic mode. It can be changed by pressing the Speed button.
The display will show the current value of PM 2.5 (µg/m3) particles. PM 2.5 are very small
particles usually found in smoke from fires, exhaust, industry. They have a diameter of 2.5
micrometres (0.0025 mm) or smaller.
When the device is powered up, the service time of the filter is counted.
To switch OFF the device, press the button again.
Filter exchange reminder and reset button
The filter service time is set for 2650 hrs. The service time is counted during active time, only
when the device is switched ON.
The LED light starts to flash every 0.5 seconds, when Therapy Air Smart active time reaches
2650 hours. It is an indication to change the filter. Please follow the instruction in Chapter
“Filter replacement” to exchange the multilayer filter.
ON/OFF button to activate ionizer
Press the button to activate the negative ion generator. The icon lights up along with
one audible signal.
The negative ion generator produces 5 million negative ions per cm3.
ON/OFF button for UV light
Press the button to activate the UV light. The icon lights up along with one audible signal.
UV inactivates airborne pathogens and microorganisms like mould, bacteria and
viruses in 1 - 60 seconds. The wavelength of UV light is 265 - 315 nm. The LED UV light
is incorporated in the body of the device and cannot be seen by human eye due to
safety reasons.
The LED UV light does not generate secondary ozone.
The lifetime of the LED UV light is 20000 hrs.
Timer
If you wish the device to switch off after a desired time, press the button and choose time
between 1 hour and 24 hours.Time can be adjusted in one-hour steps by pressing the button.
Each adjustment is accompanied by one audible signal. When the set time is reached, the
device switches off automatically.
The number of hours is shown on the display. If the timer is active, the icon is lit.
To deactivate the timer, either set the time to 00 by pressing the button or switch the device
off and switch it on again.
Speed button
Fan speed can be adjusted by pressing the button.
1 – low speed
2 – medium speed
3 – moderate speed
4 – high speed
SLP – Sleeping mode. Display goes off and only the fan icon is lit 30%, the speed of the fan
is 50% of level 1.
To activate the display again, press any icon.
A – Automatic mode - the speed of the fan is automatically adjusted based on the quality of
the surrounding air.

Children lock
To activate the Children lock, press the POWER button for 3 seconds. The Children lock icon
lights up, all other buttons are inactive.
To deactivate it, press the POWER button again for 3 seconds.
Light sensor
The light sensor is active only in automatic mode and it detects the intensity of light. When
the room is dark, the device switches automatically to sleep mode, the display goes off, only
the SPEED icon is lit 50% of its normal intensity. The speed of the fan is the same as on level 1.
If the intensity of the surrounding light is on normal level, the device goes back to normal
operation after 1 minute.
5.3 Instruction for Use
Place Therapy Air Smart in an open area and on even surface to avoid vibrations. Ensure that
air inlets and outlets are not blocked (e.g. by long hair carpet).
If the device is not in use for a long period of time (e.g. one week or more), it is recommended
to unplug it from the mains.
1. Plug the device to the mains. It will be accompanied by one beep and the display
will light up for 2 seconds.
2. Press ON/OFF button to start the device. The device is set to automatic mode.
The display shows the actual number of PM 2.5 (µg/m3) for 3 seconds.
The actual fan speed will be indicated on the display e.g. 002 (speed level 2)
3. To change the speed setting, press the“POWER”button till it shows the desired level.
4. To initiate the UV light, press the“UV light”icon once. The icon will light up along
with one audible signal. To switch it OFF, press the icon again.
5. To generate negative ions, press the“IONIZER”button. The icon will light up along
with one audible signal.
To switch it OFF, press the icon again.
6. To activate the Children lock, press the“ON/OFF”button for 3 seconds.To deactivate
it, press the button again for 3 seconds.
7. To set automatic power off, press the “TIMER” button and select time (from
1 to 24 hours). The device will switch off automatically when the selected
time elapses.
5.4 Filter Exchange
The device is equipped with a smart sensor which will indicate when the filter needs to be
changed.
The service time of the 360° multi-layer filter is 2650 hrs. The icon will light up when
2650 active hours are reached.
1. WARNING! Unplug the device from the mains. Never attempt to open the
appliance bottom while it is powered or when the device is running.
2. Place the device on its side.
3. Open the bottom of the device by turning the cover anti-clockwise till two
arrows are facing each other.
4. Take out the old filter and replace it by a new one.
WARNING! Remove the polybag from the new filter. Never put filter with
polybags on, it can result in product damage.
5. Put the filter back into the device.
6. Close the bottom cover by turning it clockwise.

7. Lift the device to vertical position.
8. Press the button “FILTER RESET“ for 3 seconds to reset the filter service time.
The start of a new service cycle is announced by one audible signal. The icon
is no longer lit.
5.5 Filter Disposal
Put the old filter into a plastic or paper bag and bring it to general waste.
6. Cleaning
WARNING! Ensure that the appliance is unplugged from the mains before cleaning
or filter exchange.
•To clean the appliance housing, use a dry, soft cloth. If it is necessary, use
a slightly damp cloth in soapy water. Never use any polishing agents, alcohol,
benzine or other chemical cleaner.
•To clean the air inlets and outlets use a soft brush.
•To clean the display, use a window cleaning agent. Follow the instruction on
the product for good results.
•The inside of the device can be cleaned during the filter change. Use a dry,
soft cloth.
WARNING! Never spray any cleaning agents inside the device; it can result in
electric shock.

8. Trouble Shooting Guide
If the problem occurs when you try to operate the appliance, make sure that you have
followed the Instructions for Use correctly.
DANGER! Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Please contact an
authorised ZEPTER repair service if you have any doubts about correct functioning
of the device.
Always remove the mains plug from the socket whenever a fault occurs.

9. Declaration of Conformity
The Therapy Air Smart complies with European directives in force
a) Directive 2014/35/EU on the harmonization relating to electrical equipment
designed for use within certain voltage limits
b) Directive 2014/30/EU on electromagnetic compatibility
The EC Declaration of Conformity guarantees that the appliance is safe, has been
inspected and tested, and meets all requirements specified in the applicable standards,
directives and regulations.
The serial production meets the requirements of:
•Technical Regulation of the Customs Union 004/2011
“Low voltage equipment safety”
approved by the decision of Customs Union Commission No 768 of
August 16, 2011.
•Technical Regulations of the Customs Union 020/2011

10. Warranty
Zepter International warrants that your Therapy Air Smart purifier will be free from
defects in material or workmanship at the time of its original purchase for a period of
five (5) years. The limited 5-year warranty is related to the most essential parts of the
device – the motor and the power board (the “Limited Warranty”).
Exception: For the plastic housing and negative ion generator, a warranty period of
two (2) years shall apply.
The 360° multilayer filter follows its service time – 2650 hours.
Condition:
•5-year limited warranty is valid:
- if the filter is replaced with original Zepter filter every 2650 hours.
•The air purifier will not be considered defective in material or workmanship if it needs
to be adapted, changed or adjusted in order to conform to the national or local
technical or safety standards in any country than the one which the product was
originally designed and manufactured for.
•This 5-year limited warranty does not cover:
- Periodic filter exchange
- Regular maintenance and repair or replacement of part due to normal wear and tear
- Damage of the product resulting from abuse or misuse, including but not limited
to the use of the product for other than intended purpose (air purification)
- Any signs of tampering by the customer or the presence of non-original pieces
- Any damages to the product resulting from repairs and/or maintenance done by
unauthorised repair centre
- Accidents, act of God or any cause beyond the control of Zepter International,
including but not limited to lightning, water, fire, public disturbance.
•This warranty only covers the Therapy Air Smart sold by an authorised Zepter
International sales agent or official distributor. The warranty claim must be done
through authorised Zepter Service Centre.
•Zepter International reserves the right to replace the Therapy Air Smart by a
similar item in current portfolio.
This guarantee does not affect the consumer`s statutory rights under applicable national
legislation in force, nor the customer’s rights against the retailer arising from the sales/
purchase agreement. In the absence of applicable national legislation, this guarantee
will be consumer`s sole and exclusive legal remedy, and the manufacturer shall not be
liable for any incidental or consequential damages for breach of any express of implied
guarantee of this product. The liability of manufacturer is limited to and shall not exceed
the purchase price of the product actually paid by the consumer.
