Game Streaming Setup
Connect the inclu e HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT port of your gaming console or PC into
the HDMI IN port of the Lumin.
Connect a secon HDMI cable from the HDMI IN port of your PC gaming monitor or HDTV to
the HDMI OUT port of the Lumin to enable HDMI pass-through.

Use the inclu e USB-C cable to connect from the USB-C port on the Lumin to a USB-C port
on your PC/Mac. A USB-C to USB-A cable may also be use for computers with USB 3.0 ports.
Optionally, you may a au io to the stream by connecting a microphone to the 3.5 mm
mi rophone port on the front or via USB 3.0 on the rear of Lumin.
To monitor au io, connect hea phones to 3.5mm headphone port. When using your
streaming software, select ZILR Lumin as the au io output.

Video Conference Setup
Connect the inclu e HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT port of your mirrorless camera into the
HDMI IN port of the Lumin.
Use the inclu e USB-C cable to connect from the USB-C port on the Lumin to a USB-C port
on your PC/Mac. In the conference software evice settings for vi eo/camera, select ZILR
Lumin as the vi eo source.

Mirrorless Camera
Depen ing on your camera, you may require either a HDMI to HDMI cable,
HDMI to HDMI Mini cable or HDMI to HDMI Micro cable. ZILR has a range of
these cables to suit each HDMI type. Cables sol separately.

10Vi eo Conference Setup
Optionally, you may a au io to the conference by connecting a microphone to the 3.5 mm
mi rophone port on the front or via USB 3.0 on the rear. You may also use the au io from the
mirrorless camera as a source. In the microphone evice settings in your conference software,
select ZILR Lumin Line/Mi when using the 3.5mm mi rophone port or ZILR Lumin if using
the microphone from the mirrorless camera.

Inclu e on the Lumin is two USB 3.0 ports which allows you to connect to a variety of USB 2.0 or
USB 3.0 evices such as web cameras, USB microphones, har rives, flash rives, printer etc.
Some evices may require a itional software, please see the evice manufactures user manual
for more etails.
The front of the Lumin is a car rea er for importing photos/vi eo from your camera or ata from
other sources store on the car .

Using Skype
The Lumin can be use as a webcam by connecting your Mirrorless Camera into the HDMI IN port.
This will enable high quailty vi eo compare to stan ar Webcams.
Software such as Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams an Google Meet will automatically be able to use
the Lumin without a itional rivers.
Using the Lumin with this apps requires the right source to be selecte .
1. Downloa Skype an open the application.
2. Once signe in, from Skype’s menu bar, open the video and audio settings.
3. Click on the Camera menu an select ZILR Lumin from the list. You will see the vi eo appear in
the preview win ow if connecte to the Lumin’s HDMI IN.
4. From the Mi rophone menu, select ZILR Lumin from the list if you are using the au io from the
HDMI IN, or if you are using a microphone connecte to 3.5mm microphone port on select
ZILR Lumin Line/Mi . When you speak, you will see the au io meters move up an own. This
will mean that the au io is working as inten e .

5. To use hea phones to hear your meeting. Connect hea phones to the 3.5mm headphone port
on the Lumin, then un er the Speakers menu, select ZILR Lumin. Press the Test audio button
to hear soun playing through the hea phones to ensure it’s setup correctly.
You are now rea y to use your Lumin for online meetings in Skype.
Using Microsoft Teams
1. Downloa Microsoft Teams an open the application or access via a web broswer.
2. Once signe into your Microsoft account, open settings an select Devi es from the si e list.
3. For the Speakers menu, if using to hea phones connecte to the Lumin, select ZILR Lumin
from the list.
4. If you are using a a microphone connecte to the Lumin 3.5mm mi rophone port, select ZILR
Lumin Line/Mi from the list. If you are use a au io/mic from a HDMI source, select ZILR Lumin.

5. To use the HDMI source, un er the Camera list, select ZILR Lumin. If there is a evice
connecte an turne on, you will see the preview from the win ow.
You are now rea y to use your Lumin for online meetings in Microsoft Teams.
Using Google Meet
1. Open the Google Meet from a web broswer.
2. Once signe into your Google account if require , open Che k your audio and video settings.
3. Once the settings win ow is open, you will be able to select your vi eo, au io an speakers.
Un er the Camera list, select ZILR Lumin (devi e id). On the Mi rophone list for the 3.5mm
mi rophone port, select ZILR Lumin Line/Mi (devi e id) or for the microphone from a HDMI
evice select ZILR Lumin. If you woul like to use hea phones connecte to the 3.5mm
headphone port on the Lumin, select ZILR Lumin from the Speakers list.

You are now rea y to use your Lumin for online meetings in Google Meet.
Using Zoom
1. Downloa the Zoom client an open the application.
2. Open Settings or Preferen es.
3. From si e list, select the Video. Un er the Camera list, select ZILR Lumin. If your HDMI evice
is turne on an connecte , you will see a preview in the win ow.
4. On the si e list, select Audio to access the au io settings.
5. If using hea phones connecte to the 3.5mm mi rophone port, un er the Speakers menu,
select ZILR Lumin. To use the microphone on your HDMI evice, select ZILR Lumin. Press the
Test Speakers button to hear if soun output is working correctly. The Output Level will move
up an own if au io is playing.

You are now rea y to use your Lumin for online meetings in Zoom.
6. If you are using a a microphone connecte to the Lumin 3.5mm mi rophone port, select ZILR
Lumin Line/Mi from the Mi rophone list. If you wish to use the au io/mic from a HDMI source,
select ZILR Lumin. The Input Level will move up an own if the microphone is working.

Testing and recording your stream
Open Boar caster Software is an open source project that is free to ownloa on Win ows, Mac
an Linux.
Visit https://obsproje t. om to ownloa the latest version on the software.
1. Once installe on your computer, open the OBS app.
2. For new users, it’s recommen e to run the auto-configuration. To o so, run the Auto-
Configuration Wizard from the Tools menu.
3. Set up your au io evices by ouble clicking on Audio Input Capture from the Sources list. If
there is none, click on the +button on from the Sources section.

4. From the Au io Input Capture properties ialogue, select ZILR Lumin if capturing au io from
the HDMI IN. To capture au io from the 3.5mm mi rophone port, select ZILR Lumin Line/Mi .
If you have a USB-A microphone connecte to the Lumin, select that evice from the list.
5. To capture from the HDMI IN source, ouble click on the Video Capture Devi e from the
Source list. If there are no Vi eo Capture Device liste , click on the +button to a a new one.
6. From the Vi eo Capture Device properties ialogue select ZILR Lumin. If you have a HDMI
evice turne on an connecte , you will see the vi eo input isplaye . It is recommen e to
have it turne on to test that the vi eo input is working before closing this ialogue.
7. To a just the levels of the au io inputs. Drag the volume sli er up or own an you will see the
B level a just.
8. Test recor the stream by clicking on Start Re ording from the Controls section.
You can capture from multiple au io sources an use the Mixing capabilities of
OBS to set the levels.
We recommen ing having hea phones connecte to either the ZILR Lumin
3.5mm hea phone port or a 3.5mm port on your computer to monitor your
au io. If using the Lumin, you may have to select it from your operating system.

9. Press Stop Re ording, after a few secon s.
10. Open the recor e file to ensure that all vi eo an au io inputs have recor e correctly. Each
operating system will store the recor e files in ierent locations. To see where your OS has
recor e the files, click on the Settings button on the Controls sections.
If the recor e vi eo works correctly with the au io levels, continue on with the capture. If the
levels aren’t correct, re-a just them in the Audio Mixer section an test again with another
recor ing.
