The ZKIR5, ZKMD5 and ZKIP5 series IP cameras feature a mini size, a stylish and concise appearance, and an
allaluminumalloydiecastingcase.
Both theZKIR5andZKMD5IPCemploya megapixelCMOSsensoranddotmatrixinfraredlamp, sportinganexcellent
nightvisioncapability.TheoptimizedH.264codingalgorithmensuresclearandsmoothvideotransmission.Thebuiltin
webserverallowsusersto monitorandcontrolfrontendcamerasremotelybyusingthebrowser.
Theseseriesofproductsareeasytoinstallandoperate.Theyareapplicabletoshortdistancewideangleplaces,such
ascommunities,supermarkets,andstores,foraroundtheclocksurveillanceandanyplacesthatrequireremotenetwork
videos.

ZKIR5seriesasanexample
PowerInterface(DC12V):Connecttotheadapter.ThisIPCemploysthepowersupplyofDC12Vandnolowerthan1A.
Donotuseanydifferentpowersupplyasitmaydamagethecamera.
NetworkInterface(LAN):10/100MselfadaptingEthernetinterfaceisusedtoconnectthecamerawithvariousnetwork
equipments,suchas,switch,routerandhub.Whenitisconnectedto10Mnetwork,theorangelampisalsoon.Whenit
isconnectedto100Mnetwork,thegreenlampisalwayson.
ResetButton(RESET): Whenthecamerafailstofunctionduringincorrectoperationoraccidentalfailure(e.g.forgetIP
addressorpassword), oritisusedindifferentscenes,press downthebuttonforabove 8saftera delay of30sfrom
powering onto restore the camera to itsfactory default. The default user’s name is admin, the default password is
adminandthedefaultIPaddressis192.168.1.88.
1.6BasicProcedure
1.Unpackandcheckwhetheranycomponentismissing.
2.Connectthecameratocomputerbymeansofpatchcable.
3.Ifyour computerIPisina networksectiondifferent fromcameraIP,pleasesetittothesamenetwork sectionas
cameraIP,suchas,192.168.1.87.
4.Loginthecamerathroughclientsoftwareorbrowsertocheckwhetherthevideofunctionsnormally.
5.Adjustthecodestreamandothervideoparameters.
6.Modifythenetworkparametersofcameraandrebootthedevice.
7.RepeatStep3.
8.Revisitthecamerathroughclientsoftwareorbrowsertochecktillthevideofunctionsnormally.
9.Installthecameraandadjustthecameraangletotheappropriatearea.
10.Visitthecamerathroughclientsoftwareorbrowseforvideomonitoring.

2.1HardwareInstallation
l InstallationNotices:(ZKIR5seriesasanexample)
1.Readthroughtheguideforinstallationpriortoinstallation.
2.Checkwhetheranycomponentismissingagainstthepackinglist,ifyes,pleasecontactyoursupplier.
3.Wire during power off. Ifthecamera does notfunction normally during operation,please cut offthe power before
check.
JNote:Thewiringduringpoweronmayseriouslydamagethecamera,whichwillbedisqualifiedfromtheguarantee.
4.UsethepowersupplyofDC12Vandnolowerthan1Aforthecamera.Toohighorlowvoltage,orACpowersupply
maycausetheabnormaloperationofthecamera.
5.Usethestandardpowercordwhenthepowersupplyistoofarawayfromthecamera,andconsiderthevoltagedrop
causedbylongdistance.
6. Readthroughtheinstructionsforconnectingterminaland wirestrictly accordingtointerfaces.Any damagetothe
cameraduetoimproperoperationwillbedisqualifiedfromtheguarantee.
7.Mounttherelayequipmentinthemiddletoavoidsignalattenuationwhenthestraightcommunicationdistancefrom
thecameratotheincomingequipmentexceeds80m.

8. Pay attention to provide lightning protection if the camera is mounted outdoor. Do not touch the camera during
lightning.
9.Usethecameraintheworkingconditions:
Ambienttemperature: 20℃~+55 ;℃ ambientrelativehumidity:10%~95%RH.
10.Keepthecleannessofdoubleglassesinfrontoflens.Iftoodirty,cleanthemwithsoftfabric.

1.Attachtheinstallationtemplatetothewallwhereyouwanttomountthecameraanddrillholes(screwholesandcable
holes)accordingtothemarksontheinstallationtemplate.(Unit:mm)
2.Fixthecameraonthewallusingthreescrews.
3. Loosen the screws that connect the camerato the support, adjustthe angle ofthe lensto cover the appropriate
surveillancearea,andtightenthescrewstofixthecameraonthesupport.

1.Attachtheinstallationtemplatetothewallwhereyouwanttomountthecameraanddrillholes(screwholesandcable
holes)accordingtothemarksontheinstallationtemplate.(Unit:mm)
2.Turnthebasetoseparateitfromthecameraandfixthebaseonthewallusingfourscrews.
3. Adjusttheangleofthecamerainfourdirectionstocoverthepropersurveillanceareaandfixthecameraonthebase.

1.InstalltheselfprovidedlensintothemountingbaseoftheZKIP5webcam.
2.ScrewthebasetightlyaboveorbelowtheZKIP5webcam, dependingontheinstallationmode.
3.MounttheZKIP5webcamintoaselfprovidedprotectivecoverorsupportandfixit.Installationiscompleted.

2.Connectthepowersupplyofthedevice.
3.Inthe Start menu,select“Programs> Accessories>CommandPrompt,andinputthepingcommandtothedevice
address(e.g.:typeinping192.168.1.88).If“Requesttimedout”doesnotpopup,thedeviceissuccessfullyconnected
tonetwork.

(1) ThedefaultIP addressis192.168.1.88andthedefaultHTTPportis80.IfneededtochangeIPaddressorport,refer

Thereare4methodscanbeusedtoaccessthedevice:WEBBrowser,RTSPMediaPlayer,MobileDeviceandVideo
SurveillanceSoftware(ZKiVisionclientsoftware).
3.1UsingWEBBrowser
1. Openabrowser,typeinthedynamicdomainnameorIPaddressofthedevice (e.g.http://192.168.80.123),press [OK]
toopenthefollowinglogininterface:

3.2UsingRTSPMediaPlayer
1.DownloadandinstallamediaplayersupportingRTSPprotocol,e.g.VLCmediaplayer.
2.Openthe mediaplayer,selectthemenuMedia>OpenNetworkStream,popuptheinputinterfaceofURL.
3.TypeinthenetworkURLintheformofrtsp://<IPaddress>:<RTSPport>/<streamcode>.

4.Click[Play]andthe mediaplayerwillplaytherealtimevideoofthedevice.
JNote:
(1) The default RTSP port of device is 554. If it must be modified, please refer to WEB Server UserManual in the
suppliedCD.
(2)IfitisnecessarytolearnabouthowtouseRTSPmediaplayerforvideosurveillance,pleaserefertoWEBServer
UserManualinthesuppliedCD.
3.3UsingMobileDevices
Ifitisnecessarytousemobilephoneforvideosurveillance,pleasefirstlyensurethedevicecanbeaccessedonInternet.
PleaserefertoZKiVisionUserManual(MobileVersion).
1.Installthesurveillancesoftwareintoyourmobilephone.
2.ClicktheiconZKiVisiontoenterthesoftware.

device,click[Save]tocompleteit.

ZKiVision Client Software is our company's free video surveillance software, which can help manage and monitor
multipledevicesinarealtimemanner.Installthe softwareinthesuppliedCD,andadddevicestothesoftware.Thenthe
realtime monitoring can be started. If needed to learn about how to use the video surveillance software, refer to
ZKiVisionClientSoftwareUserManualintheCD.
