2. INSTALLAZIONE
2.1 Rimuovere la clip da cintura
a. tirare la linguetta verso l’esterno
b. mentre è in trazione, far slittare la clip verso
il basso (fig.1)
2.2 Installare la clip da cintura
a. Far scivolare la clip nelle scanalature come da fig. 2
b. Un click indica il blocco in posizione corretta
2.3 Installare le batterie
Attenzione: osservare con attenzione la corretta polarità delle batterie. Invertendo la polarità, si può
danneggiare l’unità e la batteria.
a. Far scivolare il coperchio del vano batterie.
b. Installare il pacco batterie ricaricabile seguendo l’orientamento mostrato in fig. 3 (freccia verso l’alto)
c. Riposizionare il coperchio come da fig.4
Importante
Leggere queste avvertenze di sicurezza prima di caricare le batterie.
Quando si ripone ZD-360 nel caricatore, utilizzare solamente gli alimentatori elencati nelle istruzioni fornite
con ZD-360.
Non ricaricare delle batterie non ricaricabili.
Accertarsi che il coperchio delle batterie sia ben chiuso, prima della ricarica.
Gettare le batterie esaurite in maniera opportuna, presso gli appositi centri di raccolta.
Non lasciare delle batterie esaurite nell’unità. Potrebbe fuoriuscire dell’acido.
2.4 Ricarica delle batterie
a. Inserire lo spinotto piccolo, al termine del cavetto dell’adattatore, nella presa sul retro del caricatore.
b. Inserire l’adattatore nella presa di corrente 240V AC con l’interruttore su OFF
c. Porre l’interruttore della presa di corrente su ON (se presente).
.
ZD-360 deve essere ricaricato utilizzando il caricatore fornito. L’uso di altri adattatori provocherà una
inadempienza con la normativa EN60950-1 e farà decadere la garanzia.

d. Posizionare ZD-360 nel caricatore da tavolo, posizionato in verticale. Il LED di carica si accenderà.
e. Per batterie completamente scariche, il tempo di ricarica è circa 10 ore. Batterie nuove necessitano di
14 ore di ricarica.
Importante:
Spegnere l’unità durante la ricarica.
Questo abbrevierà la ricarica.
f. Carica delle batterie utilizzando il caricatore
Sollevare la copertura della presa di ricarica
sul lato destro della radio.
Inserire il connettore tondo dell’adattatore
9V DC/200mA nella presa di ricarica.
Inserire l’adattatore nella presa 240V
Utilizzare solo caricatori approvati.
Indicatore batteria
L’indicatore è localizzato nell’angolo sinistro dell’LCD. E’ una batteria con tre barre, che indicano il livello di
carica. Quando il livello delle batterie raggiunge il livello minimo, l’unità emette due beep e si spegne
automaticamente.
ZD-360 rileva la carica delle batterie in 4 livelli
Batteria carica al massimo.
Batteria carica a metà.
Batteria a livello basso. A questo livello, ZD-360 emette un beep ogni 10 secondi.
Importante: caricare le batterie per 10-14 ore.
Batteria a livello molto basso. Quando l’unità raggiunge il livello minimo, emetterà due beep
e si spegnerà automaticamente.
Attenzione: rischio di esplosione se le batterie sono sostituite con un tipo errato. Gettare le batterie
esauste negli appositi centri di raccolta.
Durata batterie
Il PMR dispone di un circuito che permette di ridurre al minimo il consumo delle batterie, tuttavia quando il
ricetrasmettitore non è utilizzato è preferibile spegnere l’unità.
3. UTILIZZO
3.1 Portata in trasmissione
La portata dipende dal terreno e dall’ambiente circostante. In spazio aperto può arrivare a 8 km. Non
utilizzare due unità PMR a meno di 1,5 m di distanza, per evitare interferenze.
Avvertenze di sicurezza
Per ridurre l’esposizione a radiofrequenza, tenere ZD-360 almeno a 5 cm dal viso.
Non utilizzare mai il trasmettitore all’esterno durante un temporale.
Non utilizzare sotto la pioggia.
Se ZD-360 si inumidisce, spegnerlo e togliere le batterie. Asciugare il comparto batterie e lasciare aperto il
coperchio per qualche ora. Non utilizzare l’unità finché non è completamente asciutta.
Tenerlo lontano dalla portata dei bambini.

3.2 Accendere/spegnere il prodotto
Per accendere: Ruotare la manopola Power/Vol in senso orario: il display si accenderà
mostrando il canale.
Per spegnere: Ruotare la manopola in senso antiorario: il display si spegnerà.
Nota: ogni volta che si accende, si aprirà anche il volume. Il livello si alza o abbassa ruotando il comando
Power/Vol.
3.3 Cambiare canale
ZD-360 ha 8 canali: per poter comunicare con altri utenti, è necessario essere sintonizzati sullo stesso
canale.
a. Premere Menu, il numero del canale corrente lampeggia sullo schermo LCD
b. Premere Up o Down per selezionare il canale desiderato, da 1 a 8.
c. Premere PTT per confermare l’impostazione.
Nota: fare riferimento alla apposita tabella per i dettagli della frequenza.
3.3.1 Impostazione dei subtoni CTCSS
Ogni canale ha 38 subtoni per poter avere una comunicazione più privata sullo stesso canale. Se viene
impostato un subtono, solo i ricetrasmettitori che avranno lo stesso canale e lo stesso subtono potranno
comunicare tra loro.
Per disattivare la funzione, impostare semplicemente il subtono a 0 (zero). Sarà possibile comunicare con
tutti i PMR sullo stesso canale, che abbiano impostato il subtono a 0 (o che non abbiano il subtono).
a. Premere Menu due volte, il subtono CTCSS corrente appare sul display e lampeggia.
b. Premere Up o Down per selezionare uno dei 38 subtoni.
c. Premere PTT per confermare l’impostazione.
3.3.2 Impostare il DCS (Digital Code Squelch)
Ogni canale ha 83 codici digitali per predisporre un gruppo di utenti con una comunicazione più privata sullo
stesso canale.
a. Premere Menu tre volte, il codice DCS lampeggia sul display.
b. Premere Up o Down per selezionare uno dei codici DCS
c. Premere PTT per confermare l’impostazione.
Trasmettere e ricevere
! La trasmissione di questi apparati è “una via”. Mentre si parla, non si può ricevere nulla.
! La banda di trasmissione è libera. Identificarsi sempre quando si trasmette sullo stesso canale.
3.4 Ricevere una chiamata
L’unità è sempre in modo ricezione quando viene accesa. Quando viene ricevuta una comunicazione sul
canale attuale, si accende l’icona RX sul display.

3.5 Trasmettere
a. Premere e tenere premuto il tasto PTT. Comparirà l’icona TX sul display
b. Tenere l’unità in posizione verticale e a 5 cm dalla bocca. Tenendo premuto il PTT, parlare con
un tono di voce normale nel microfono.
c. Rilasciare il PTT quando si è finito di parlare.
3.6 Monitor
La funzione monitor permette di ascoltare segnali molto deboli o distanti sul canale attuale.
a. Premere e tenere premuto il tasto FM: apparirà l’icona RX. L’altoparlante inizierà a frusciare,
permettendo di ascoltare segnali molto deboli.
b. Premere nuovamente il tasto FM per interrompere la funzione monitor.
3.7 Impostare la sensibilità VOX (attivazione vocale della trasmissione)
Nel modo VOX, l’unità trasmetterà un segnale solo quando sarà attivata dalla vostra voce o un altro suono
nelle vicinanze. L’unità rimarrà in trasmissione per 2 secondi dopo che avrete finito di parlare.
Il livello di sensibilità del vox è mostrato da un numero sul display. Ai valori più alti corrisponde una elevata
sensibilità (rumori deboli), mentre a valori bassi corrisponde una sensibilità inferiore (rumori forti).
a. Premere Menu 4 volte, apparirà l’icona VOX e OFF lampeggerà sul display.
b. Premere UP per impostare la sensibilità al massimo (max. 3). Per disattivare la funzione,
premere DOWN finchè sul display compare OFF.
c. Premere PTT per confermare l’impostazione. Con VOX attivo, sul display è presente l’icona
VOX.
La funzione VOX non è consigliata in ambienti rumorosi o ventosi.
3.8 Attivare la funzione Auto Channel Scan (scansione automatica dei canali)
Questa funzione ricerca la presenza di segnali in tutti gli 8 canali, i 38 codici CTCSS e gli 83 codici DCS.
a. Premere Menu 5 volte, appare l’icona SCAN sul display.
b. Premere UP oDOWN per iniziare la scansione. Quando viene rilevato un canale attivo, la
scansione si ferma.
c. Premere Menu 6 volte, CTCSS lampeggia sul display : premere Up o Down per iniziare la
scansione dei subtoni 1~38.
d. Premere Menu 7 volte, DCS lampeggia sul display: : premere Up o Down per iniziare la
scansione dei codici DCS 1~83.
e. Premere PTT per confermare l’impostazione.
3.9 Vibrazione e Avviso Chiamata
ZD-360 può avvisare l’arrivo di un segnale emettendo un suono e vibrando.
4. TONO DI CHIAMATA
E’ possibile trasmettere un tono di chiamata agli altri utenti PMR per avvisarli che volete comunicare con
loro.
Premere il tasto CALL
Sentirete una nota per 2 secondi; appare l’icona TX sul display. Qualunque altro apparato PMR nel raggio di
trasmissione e sintonizzato sullo stesso canale (e subtono, se presente) riceverà l’avviso.
4.1 Selezionare la nota di chiamata
ZD-360 dispone di 15 diverse note di chiamata.
a. Premere Menu 8 volte, sul display compare l’icona “C01” lampeggiante.
b. Premere Up o Down per selezionare la nota desiderata. La nota verrà riprodotta al momento
della selezione.

c. Premere PTT per confermare l’impostazione.
4.2 Attivare la vibrazione
a. Premere Menu 9 volte, “1” lampeggerà sul display.
b. Premere Up o Down per attivare/disattivare la funzione.
c. Premere PTT per confermare l’impostazione.
Nota: la vibrazione e il tono di chiamata possono essere attivati simultaneamente.
4.3 Impostare il Roger Beep (tono di fine trasmissione)
Questo è un tono che viene trasmesso automaticamente quando viene rilasciato il tasto PTT. Questo
avverte l’interlocutore che avete finito la trasmissione e siete in modalità ricezione.
a. Premere Menu 10 volte, “ON” lampeggerà sul display.
b. Premere Up o Down per attivare/disattivare la funzione.
c. Premere PTT per confermare l’impostazione.
4.4 Impostare il beep dei tasti
Questa impostazione emette un tono di conferma dopo la pressione di ciascun tasto.
a. Premere Menu 11 volte, “ON” lampeggerà sul display.
b. Premere Up o Down per attivare/disattivare la funzione.
c. Premere PTT per confermare l’impostazione.
4.5 Impostare il dual watch (ascolto su due canali)
ZD-360 può monitorare due canali, il corrente ed un altro. Se viene ricevuto un segnale, l’unità si ferma e
riceve la trasmissione.
a. Premere Menu 12 volte, verrà visualizzata l’icona “DCM” e “OFF” lampeggerà sul display.
b. Premere Up o Down per selezionare il secondo canale (tra 1 e 8, tranne quello corrente).
c. Premere Menu per cambiare il codice CTCSS.
d. Premere Up o Down per selezionare il subtono CTCSS desiderato (1~38).
e. Premere Menu per cambiare il codice DCS.
f. Premere Up o Down per selezionare il codice DCS desiderato (1~83).
g. Premere PTT per confermare l’impostazione.
4.6 Impostare il controllo ambiente (room monitor)
ZD-360 può monitorare cosa accade in un particolare ambiente (stanza vicina). Utile per controllare il sonno
o l’attività dei bambini. Può essere attivato tramite la funzione VOX.
a. Premere Menu 12 volte, verrà visualizzata l’icona “RM” e “OFF” lampeggerà sul display.
b. Premere Up o Down per attivare/disattivare la funzione.
c. Premere PTT per confermare l’impostazione.
5. FUNZIONI AUSILIARIE
5.1 Blocco tasti
Questa funzione disabilita i tasti Up, Down e Menu, in modo che le condizioni impostate non
possano essere modificate accidentalmente.
a. Per attivare la funzione, tenere premuto il tasto Menu finchè sul display appare l’icona
b. Per disattivare, tenere premuto il tasto Menu finchè sul display l’icona scompare.
Nota: i tasti PTT e Call sono comunque attivi, anche con il blocco attivato.
5.2 Retroilluminazione display
Ogni volta che viene accesa o un tasto premuto (tranne PTT e CALL), la radio illumina l’LCD per 5 secondi.

5.3 Presa cuffia / mic esterno / ricarica
ZD-360 dispone di un ingresso per un microfono esterno, una cuffia e uno spinotto per la ricarica delle
batterie, localizzati all’estremità opposta del tasto PTT.
5.4 Funzione radio FM
Mentre si è in stand by, premere e rilasciare il tasto FM: apparirà sul display la frequenza FM. Utilizzare i
tasti Up o Down per effettuare la sintonia della stazione desiderata. Premere di nuovo il tasto FM per uscire
dalla modalità.
5.5 Funzione torcia e SOS
Premere e rilasciare il tasto torcia sul lato sinistro dell’unità. Il LED sotto l’unità si accenderà. Mentre il LED è
acceso, tenere premuto il tasto torcia per attvare la funzione SOS (...---...). per disattivare la luce, premere e
rilasciare il tasto torcia.

7. SICUREZZA
CAUTELA
Antenna danneggiata
Non utilizzare il ricetrasmettitore se l’antenna è danneggiata. Se viene a contatto con la pelle, potrebbe
provocare bruciature.
Batterie
Tutte le batterie possono provocare danni o ferite se del materiale conduttore come gioielli, chiavi, catenine
vengono a contatto con i due poli. Il materiale metallico diventa molto caldo chiudendo il circuito tra il polo
positivo e il negativo della batteria, che viene messa in cortocircuito. Attenzione a metterla in tasca assieme
ad oggetti metallici.
AVVERTENZA
Veicoli con airbag
Non posizionare ZD-360 in prossimità dell’airbag. In caso di incidente, questo si gonfia con molta potenza e
la radio potrebbe essere scagliata con forza contro gli occupanti del veicolo.

Atmosfere potenzialmente esplosive
Spegnere l’apparato quando si è in presenza di atmosfere esplosive. In questi casi, una scintilla può
provocare un’esplosione.
Batterie
Non sostituire o ricaricare le batterie in aree potenzialmente esplosive. Potrebbe verificarsi una scintilla
pericolosa.
Aree con detonazioni
Per evitare possibili interferenze con detonazioni, spegnere l’apparato quando si è in prossimità di aree a
rischio.
Nota: aree con atmosfera potenzialmente esplosiva sono spesso, ma non sempre, indicate chiaramente.
Esse includono aree di rifornimento di benzina, aree chimiche etc.
8. MANUTENZIONE E PULIZIA
Per la pulizia dell’apparato, utilizzare un panno morbido con acqua. Non utilizzare solventi o abrasivi, che
causerebbero danni non coperti dalla garanzia.
SMALTIMENTO PRODOTTO
Ai sensi della Direttiva 2012/19/UE del Parlamento Europeo e del Consiglio, del 4 luglio 2012, sui
rifiuti di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche (RAEE), la presenza del simbolo del bidone
barrato indica che questo apparecchio non è da considerarsi quale rifiuto urbano: il suo
smaltimento deve pertanto essere effettuato mediante raccolta separata. Lo smaltimento
effettuato in maniera non separata può costituire un potenziale danno per l'ambiente e per la
salute. Tale prodotto può essere restituito al distributore all'atto dell'acquisto di un nuovo
apparecchio. Lo smaltimento improprio dell'apparecchio costituisce condotta fraudolenta ed è soggetto a
sanzioni da parte dell'Autorità di Pubblica Sicurezza. Per ulteriori informazioni è possibile rivolgersi
all’amministrazione locale competente in materia ambientale.
GARANZIA PRODOTTO
Melchioni Ready s.r.l., con sede in Milano (Italia), via Colletta 37, riconosce garanzia convenzionale sul
prodotto per il periodo di due anni dalla data del primo acquisto da parte del consumatore. Tale garanzia
lascia impregiudicata la validità della normativa in vigore riguardante i beni di consumo (D.L. 6 Settembre
2005 n. 206 art. 128 e seguenti), dei quali diritti il consumatore rimane titolare. Tale garanzia si applica
all’intero territorio dell’Unione Europea.
I componenti o le parti che risulteranno difettosi per accertate cause di fabbricazione saranno riparati o
sostituiti gratuitamente per tramite del rivenditore, durante il periodo di garanzia di cui sopra. Melchioni
Ready S.r.l. si riserva il diritto di effettuare sostituzione integrale dell’apparecchio, qualora la riparabilità
risultasse impossibile od eccessivamente onerosa, con altro apparecchio di simili caratteristiche (D.L. 6
Settembre 2005 n. 206 art. 130) nel corso del periodo di garanzia. In questo caso la decorrenza della
garanzia rimane quella dell’acquisto originale: la prestazione erogata in garanzia non prolunga il periodo
della garanzia stessa.
Questo apparecchio non sarà in ogni caso considerato difettoso per materiali o fabbricazione qualora
dovesse essere adattato, cambiato o regolato, al fine di conformarsi a norme di sicurezza e/o tecniche
nazionali o locali, in vigore in un Paese diverso da quello per il quale è stato originariamente progettato e
fabbricato. Questo apparecchio è stato progettato e costruito per un impiego esclusivamente domestico:
qualunque altro utilizzo comporta il decadimento dei benefici della garanzia.
La garanzia non copre:
•parti soggette ad usura o logorio, né quelle parti che necessitano di una sostituzione e/o
manutenzione periodica
•uso professionale del prodotto
•malfunzionamenti o qualsiasi difetto dovuti ad errata installazione, configurazione, aggiornamento
di software / BIOS / firmware non eseguita da personale autorizzato Melchioni Ready S.r.l.
•riparazioni o interventi eseguiti da persone non autorizzate da Mechioni Ready S.r.l.
•manipolazioni di componenti dell’assemblaggio o, ove applicabile, del software
•difetti provocati da caduta o trasporto, fulmini, sbalzi di tensione, infiltrazioni di liquidi, apertura
dell’apparecchio, intemperie, fuoco, disordini pubblici, aerazione inadeguata o errata alimentazione
•eventuali accessori, ad esempio: scatole, borse, batterie, ecc. usate con questo prodotto
•interventi a domicilio per controlli di comodo o presunti difetti

Il riconoscimento della garanzia da parte di Melchioni Ready S.r.l. è subordinata alla presentazione di un
documento fiscale che comprovi l’effettiva data di acquisto. Lo stesso non deve presentare manomissioni o
cancellature, in presenza dei quali Melchioni Ready S.r.l. si riserva il diritto di rifiutare l’erogazione del
trattamento in garanzia.
La garanzia non sarà riconosciuta qualora la matricola o il modello dell’apparecchio risultassero inesistenti,
abrasi o modificati.
La presente garanzia non comprende alcun diritto di risarcimento per danni diretti o indiretti, di qualsiasi
natura, verso persone o cose, causati da un’eventuale inefficienza dell’apparecchio. Eventuali estensioni,
promesse o prestazioni in merito, assicurate dal rivenditore, saranno a carico di quest’ultimo.

2. INSTALLATION
2.1 Removing the Belt clip
a. Pull up the belt clip latch from the ZD-360.
b. While pulling the belt clip latch, push up the belt clip as shown in Figure1.
2.2 Installing the Belt clip
a. Slide the belt clip into the slot as shown in Figure2.
A “click” indicates the belt clip is locked into its position.
2.3 Installing the Battery pack
Caution: Observe the proper battery polarity orientation when installing batteries. Incorrect positioning
can damage both the batteries and the unit.
a.Slide down the battery compartment cover.
b.Install the rechargeable battery pack by following the orientation as shown in Figure 3 (the arrow is
showing and pointing upward.)
c.Replace the battery compartment cover. See figure 4.
Important
Read these Safety Warnings before you charge the batteries.
When placing the ZD-360 in the charger, use only the power supplies listed in the user instructions
supplied with the ZD-360.
Don’t try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
Make sure the battery compartment cover is securely locked in place when you are charging the
batteries.
Dispose of used batteries safely and in a way that will not harm thecould get burnt or punctured.
Don’t leave dead batteries in your ZD-360 units. They might leak if you do.

2.3 Charging the battery batteries
a. Insert the small plug on the end of the mains adaptor into the power-in connection jack at the back of
the desktop charger.
b. Plug the mains adaptor into a 240V AC, 50Hz main socket with the switch on the socket set to Off.
c. Switch On the main socket.
The ZD-360 must be charged using the mains adaptor provided.
Using any other adaptor will result in non-compliance with
EN60950-1 and will invalidate any approvals & warranty.
d. Place the ZD-360 units in the charge cradle in an upright position. The charge LED indicators will light
up.
e. It takes about 10 hours to fully recharge the batteries if they are completely run down. New batteries
take up to 14 hours to fully charge.
f. Charging the battery batteries (using adaptor)
Lift the charge socket cover located on the right side of the handset.
Insert the round connector of the 9.0V DC/200mA adaptor into
the charge jack.
Plug the mains adaptor into a 240V AC, 50Hz main socket with the switch on
the socket set to Off. Use only the power supplies listed in the user
instruction.
Then switch ON the main socket.
Battery meter
The battery meter is located in the left corner of the LCD screen. It appears like a battery with three bars
inside. These indicate the amount of power available. When the battery level reaches it minimum level in
PMR on mode, unit will emit two beep tones and automatically the unit will power off.
The ZD-360 can detect the battery charge in 4 levels;
Battery charge at high level.
Battery charge at medium level.
Battery charge at low level. At this level, the ZD-360 will emit a “beep” sound for every 10
seconds in normal mode.
Important: Charge the unit for 10-14 hours.
Battery charge at very low level. When the battery level reach it minimum level in ZD-360 on mode, unit
will emit two beep tone and automatically turn off the power and proceeds to watch mode.
Important: Charge the unit for 10-14 hours.

CAUTION: Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Disposed of used batteries
according to the instructions.
Battery life
The ZD-360 has a built in power saver to make the batteries last longer. But when you are not using the
units, turn them Off to conserve battery power.
3. OPERATION
3.1 Transmitting range
The talk range depends on the environmental and terrain. It will be reach (up to about 8km) in wide open
spaces, without obstructions such as hills or buildings. Don’t try to use two PMR units which are less than
1.5m (5feet) apart. Otherwise, you may have experience interference.
Important safety warning
To reduce radio frequency exposure when you are using your ZD-360, hold the unit at least 5cm (2
inches) away from your face.
Never use your ZD-360 outdoors during a thunderstorm.
Don’t use the ZD-360 in the rain.
If your ZD-360 gets wet, turn it off and remove he battery. Dry the battery compartment and leave the
cover off for a few hours. Don’t use the unit until it is completely dry.
Keep the ZD-360 out of reach babies and young children.
3.2 Turning the Unit ON/OFF
To Turn ON: Rotate the POWER/VOL button clockwise until the LCD Screen turns ON and
displays the current channel.
To switch OFF: Rotate the POWER/VOL button counter clockwise until the LCD screen turns
blank.
Note: Every time you rotate the Power/Vol button to turn On, the volume will also open. The volume level
will increase or decrease by rotating the Power/Vol button.
3.3 Changing Channels
The ZD-360 has 8 available channels, to communicate with other ZD-360 users within a range, you must
have your ZD-360 tuned to the same channel.
a. Press the MENU button once, the current channel number flashes on the LCD screen.
b. Press the UP or DOWN button to select the desired channel. The channel changes from 1 to
8, or vice versa.
c. Press the PTT button to confirm the setting.
Note: Refer to the “Channel Table” section of this Owner’s Manual for detailed frequency listing.
3.3.1 Setting the CTCSS sub-channel
Each channel also has 38 sub-channels to let you set up group of users within the same channel for more
private communication. If you have set the sub-channel, you can only communicate with other PMR users
tuned to the same channel and sub-channel.

To turn the sub-channel function off, simply set the sub- channel
to 0 (zero). You can communicate with any ZD-360 user set to the same channel who also turns off the
sub-channel operation (or whose have unit does not have the feature).
a.Press the MENU button twice, the current CTCSS sub-channel number flashes on the LCD
screen.
b.Press the UP or DOWN button to select one of the 38 CTCSS sub-channels.
c.Press the PTT button to confirm the setting.
3.3.2 SETTING THE DCS ADVANCED DIGITAL CODE.
Each channel also has 83 digital codes to let you set up group of users for more secured private
communication.
a. Press the MENU button 3 times. DCS code is blinking on the LCD screen.
b. Press the UP or DOWN button to select the desired DCS code.
c. Press the PTT button to confirm the DCS channel setting.
Transmitting and Receiving
The ZD-360 transmission is “one way-at-a-time.” While you are speaking, you can not receive a
transmission.
The ZD-360 is an open-license band. Always identify yourself when transmitting on the same
channel.
3.4 Transmitting (sending a speech)
The unit is continuously in the Receive mode when the unit is turned On and not transmitting. When a
signal is received on the current channel, “RX” icon will be displayed on the LCD screen.
3.5 Transmitting (sending a speech)
a. Press and hold the PTT (push to talk) button to transmit your voice. “TX’ icon will be displayed
on the LCD screen.
b. Hold the unit in a vertical position with the MIC (Microphone) 5 cm away from the mouth. While
holding the PTT button, speak into the MIC (microphone) in a normal tone of voice.
c. Release the PTT button when you have finished transmitting.
3.6 Monitor
You can use the Monitor feature to check for weak signals on the current channel.
a.Press and hold the FM button “RX” icon will be displayed on the LCD screen. Your ZD-360 will
pick up signals on the current channel, including background noise.
b. Press the FM button again to stop the channel monitoring.
3.7 Setting the VOX (Voice Activated) Sensitivity
In VOX mode, the ZD-360 will transmit a signal only when it is activated by your voice or other sounds
around you. The unit will transmit further for 2 seconds even if you stop talking.

The level of VOX sensitivity is shown by a number on the LCD screen. At the highest level, the units
will pickup softer noise (including background noise); at the lowest level, it will pick up only quite loud
noise.
a.Press the MENU button 4 times, “VOX” icon will be displayed and “OFF” flashes on the LCD
screen.
b.Press the UP button to set the VOX sensitivity into maximum level (the maximum level is “3”.)
To deactivate the VOX function, press the DOWN button until “OFF” appears on the LCD
screen.
c.Press the PTT button to confirm your setting. “VOX” will steadily appear on the LCD screen as
along as the VOX feature is activated.
VOX operation is not recommended if the ZD-360 will be used in a noisy or windy environment.
3.8 Activating the Auto Channel Scan
Channel scan perform searches for active signals in an endless loop for all 8 channels, 38 CTCSS codes
and all 83 DCS codes.
a. Press the MENU button 5 times, “SCAN” icon will display on LCD screen.
b. Press the UP or DOWN button to begin scanning channels when an active signal is
detected, channel scan pauses on the active channel.
c. Press the MENU button six times, CTCSS flashes on the LCD screen press the UP or
DOWN button to begin scanning the CTCSS from 1-38.
d. Press the MENU button seven times, DCS flashes on the LCD screen. Press the UP or
DOWN button to begin scanning DCS code 1-83.
e. Press the PTT button to confirm your setting.
3.9 Vibrator and Call alert
Your ZD-360 can alert you to incoming signal by emitting an audible call tone and vibration signal.
4. CALL-RING TONE
You can send a Call-ring tone to other PMR users to give an alert that you want to communicate
with them.
Press the CALL button
Yu will hear a ring tone for about two seconds; “TX” icon appears on the LCD screen. Any other
units within the transmitting range and tuned to the same channel and sub-channel (if applicable)
will hear the Call-ring tone.
4.1 Selecting a Call- Ring tone
The ZD-360 is equipped with 15 different types of Call ring tones.
a. Press the MENU button 8 times, the “C01” icon will display and blinking on the LCD
Screen.
b. Press the UP or DOWN button to select the desired call ring tone. A respective call ring
tone sound will be played when changing from one tone to another.
c. Press the PTT button to confirm your setting.

4.2 Activating the Vibrator mode
a. Press the MENU button 9 times; “1” flashes on the LCD screen.
b. Press the UP or DOWN button to activate the vibrator function.
c. Press the PTT button to confirm your setting.
Note: Vibrator and Call tone can be activated at the same.
4.3 Setting the Roger Beep
The Roger beep is a tone which is automatically transmitted whenever the PTT button is released. This
alerts the receiving party to inform that you have intentionally ended the transmission, and you are now in
receive mode.
a. Press the MENU button 10 times, the “ON” icon is blinking on the LCD screen.
b. Press the UP or DOWN button to select the Roger beep On/Off.
c. Press the PTT button to confirm your setting.
4.4 Setting the Key Tone ON or OFF
This feature allows the ZD-360 to emit a confirmation tone after pressing each button.
a. Press the MENU button 11 times, the “ON” icon is blinking on the LCD screen.
b. Press the UP or DOWN button to select the Key tone On/Off.
c. Press the PTT button to confirm your setting.
4.5 Setting the Dual Watch Mode
Your ZD-360 is capable of monitoring two channels, the current and another (dual watch) channel. If the
unit detects a signal on either channel, it will stop and receive the signal.
a.Press the MENU button 12 times, “DCM” icon will be displayed while “OFF” flashes on the
LCD screen.
b.Press the UP or DOWN button to select the Dual Watch channel (1-8, except the current
channel).
c.Continue pressing the MENU button to change the CTCSS code.
d.Press the UP or DOWN button to select the desired CTCSS code (1-38)
e.Continue pressing the MENU button to change the DCS code.
f. Press the UP or DOWN button to select the desired DCS code (1-83)
g.Press the PTT button to confirm your setting.
4.6 Setting the Room monitor
Your ZD-360 is capable of monitoring what happenings on the room. This is most like applicable for baby
room monitoring. It can be activated through VOX function.
a. Press the MENU button 13 times, the “RM” icon will be displayed while the “OFF” icon is blinking on
the LCD screen.
b. Press the UP or DOWN button to select the Room monitor to On/Off.
c. Press the PTT button to confirm your setting

5. AUXILIARY FEATURES
5.1 Key Lock
The Key Lock feature allows user to disable the UP, DOWN and MENU buttons so that the FX-
360 settings could not be changed accidentally.
a. To activate the Key Lock feature, press and hold the MENU button until key lock “ ”
icon appears on the LCD Screen.
b. To deactivate the key Lock feature, press and hold the MENU button until key lock “ ”
icon disappears on the LCD Screen.
Note: The PTT, and CALL buttons will remain functional even if the Key Lock feature is activated.
5.2 LCD Screen back light
Every time the Power/Vol button is open (except PTT and CALL button), the LCD screen back
light will illuminate for 5 seconds.
5.3 Microphone/Earphone/Charge Jack
The ZD-360 is equipped with an auxiliary microphone, earphone, and charge jack located at the
opposite side of the PTT button.
5.4 FM Radio function
While in standby mode, press and release the FM button, Frequency channel will display in the LCD screen.
Press Up or Down button to adjust the FM frequency channel. Press and release the FM button to go back
to PMR frequency mode
5.5 Torch and SOS function
Press and release the Light button on the left side of the unit. The LED will light at the bottom of the unit.
While LED is On, press and hold the Light button to activate the SOS function. To turn Off, press and release
the Light button.

7. SAFETY
CAUTION
Damaged Antenna
Do not use any ZD-360 that has a damaged antenna. If a damaged antenna comes in contact with the
skin, a minor burn may result.
Batteries
All batteries can cause property damage and/or bodily injury such as burns if conductive material such as
jewelry, keys, or beaded chains touches exposed terminals. The material may complete an electrical
circuit (short circuit) and become quite hot. Exercise care in handling any charged battery, particularly
when placing it inside a pocket, purse, or other container with metal objects.
WARNING
For Vehicles with an Air Bag
Do not place your ZD-360 in the area over an air bag or in the air bag deployment area. Air bags inflate
with great force. If a ZD-360 is placed in the air bag deployment area and the air bag inflates, the ZD-360
may be propelled with great force and cause serious injury to the occupants of the vehicle.
Potentially Explosive Atmospheres
Turn your ZD-360 Off when in any area with a potentially explosive atmosphere, unless it is a type
especially qualified for such use (for example, Factory Mutual Approved). Sparks in such areas could
cause an explosion or fire resulting in injury or even death.
Batteries
Do not replace or charge batteries in a potentially explosive atmosphere. Contact sparking may occur
while installing or removing batteries and cause an explosion.
Blasting Caps and Areas
To avoid possible interference with blasting operations, turn your ZD-360 Off near electrical blasting caps
or in a “blasting area” or in areas posted: “Turn off the two way radio”. Obey all signs and instructions.
NOTE: Areas with potentially explosive atmospheres are often, but not always clearly marked. They
include fueling areas such as below deck on boats; fuel or chemical transfer or storage facilities; areas
where the air contains chemicals or particles, such as grain, dust, or metal powders; and any other area
where you would normally be advised to turn off your vehicle engine.
8. CLEANING AND CARE
To clean your ZD-360, use a soft cloth dampened with water. Do not use cleaners or solvent, which may
cause damage that may not be covered by guarantee.

constitute a potential harm to the environment and health. This product can be returned to the
distributor when purchasing a new device. Improper disposal of the appliance constitutes misconduct and is
