Tks very much for selection the optical transceiver of our company.
To make sure you could use our product correctly and safely, please read
this manual carefully before using to reduce and avoid the probable problems in
installation and using.
According to different video channel number ,audio channel number,data
channel number and signal transmission direction, optical transceiver have
different mode number. In this manual ,we classify the series product with the
same basic configuration into one product group. The usage and connection of
one product group are similar.
The mode number, configuration,schematic of the product you bought
maybe not exactly the same as the product list on this manual ,but all in the
range of this manual.
This manual is the common manual for LH 0 series optical transceiver.

ⅡSecurity Requirement
Please read the following security notes carefully to avoid personal injury
and the other equipment damage which connected with this product.To avoid
the probable dangerous ,this product only could be repaired by the technicist
with our company’s authority.
1’Use suitable power adapter.Check the adapter type , positive and negative
poles.
2’Correct connection and disconnection. When the equipment are power on,
don’t connect or disconnect the data line.
3’Correct signal line connection.User should use the original accessory
attched by manufaturer. If user need do special connection ,please note the pin
distribution requirement.

4’Don’t open chassis, don’t make any operation without equipment chassis.
If the chassis or panel unload ,please don’t operate the product.
5’Avoid connect naked circuit. If there is doubt that the product is
broken,please contact with our serviceman.
6’Good ventilation enviroment.
7’Don’t operate in moist enviroment

Digital optical transceiver category
. optical transceiver product summary
Video/audio series optical transceiver adopt digital optical fiber
transmission, TDM,WDM technology.It’s advange is well anti-jamming and high
stability. It could transmit one channel or multiple channels video,audio and
data signal (RS232/RS4 5/RS422/Manchester,Switch signal,10/100M ethernet)
It could be compatible with PAL,SECAM or NTSC video system. According to
different installation and connection type, the mode number of optical
transceiver are different.
2. Optical pannel diagram
For the optical transceiver of 1-ch/2-ch/4-ch/6-ch/ -ch ,the only difference on
pannel is different port number. Here we take -ch optical transceiver as
example.

Installation
. Equipment Package and apperance inspection
Please read this manual carefully before use and note the mark NOTICE.
After opening the carton,plc check the equipment model and quantity .Contact
with our company if there is anything unusual.
2. Installation and Fixation
The surface of this equipment is made by metal, rust–proof, anti-corrosive
treatment. It could be fixed on front-end equipment box or desk or lying on
chassis .
NOTICE: The equipment doesn’t water-proof, so please consider
the water-proof fully.
3. Lightning-proof , Electrostatic and groud
Lightning and electrostatic will cause inside device damage. We suggest
consider the lightning factor when install the equipment . Excessive ESD will
damage the optical device and data chip. We suggest before plug or pull the
data port ,please cut off the power.
4. Fiber and fiber device protection
Video / Audio signal transmitt better on single mode fiber ,so usually, we use the
singal mode optical transceiver.
The optical device is very frail ,so be much careful when plug and pull the optical
fiber to avoid permanent damage for them. Lay out optical fiber orderly in
equipment room.the curvature radius should ≥50mm. The optical fiber
connector could not be polluted , please clear it with absolute alcohol before
using.Otherwise, it maybe influence the transmition impact; if the fiber optical
connector could not fix fully ,it maybe cause much power consumption ,so you
should adjust the fiber connector accordingly.
Notice: The light source generated by optical fiber devices of optical
transceiver could cause permanent damage to humen eyes. Please do not look

at the fiber devices of optical transceiver directly . If you need to do fiber
power,please use professinal instrument such as fiber power device .
5. Line connection
A”Fiber connection:
After make sure the fiber optical is suitable for installation, plug the optical
fiber connector input optical fiber port carefully. Then the LNK light will on .
B”Video line connection:
The video port is standard BNC connector. The Video light will be on when
the Video in port of Transmitter receiver the 1.0Vp-p video signal .The Video out
light will be on when the video out port of Receiver receiver the optical signal
with 1.0Vp-p video signal .
C” Data line connection:
The optical transceiver support RS-232,RS-422/RS-4 5 data protocol.
Please connect according to the product mode and control data type , take the
responding port line defination as reference.
D”Audio line connection:
Please connect according to the product mode ,take the responding port
line defination as reference.
6. Electrify and run
A” power line connection:
After you connect the power line ,the PWR light on Transmitter and Receiver
will be on.
After you connect the optical fiber ,video line, audio line and data line and
make sure all connection are correct ,you can electrify .The power light wil be on.
For insert card type chasis ,the power light and radiator fan begin to turn .
Check the video transmission normal or not. After the transmitter receiver
normal camera signal, the video signal from receiver will make clear image on
monitor, with no interference fringe or noise.
Check the audio transmission normal or not.Input an audio signal into audio
input port ,such as MIC ,radio ,recorder and so on.Connect monitor or PAM on
the audio output port of receiver .The sound should be clear without obvious
distortion , biggish noise.

Check data transmission normal or not. Control responding equipment by
signal to check the function normal or not. Or you could transmit data or
receiver data by computer to check. For bi-direction communication, you could
even joint the receiver and transmitter data port of one optical transceiver ,and
transmit and receive the return data .Check the consistency of return data and
the receive data.
Status display: After electrifing, the power light (POWER) will be on ,the
locking light on transmitter (LINK) will be on , the locking light on receiver (LINK)
will be on after connect the fiber optical .The data light (DATA) will be flash if
there is data transmission. For ethernet optical transceiver , the locking light on
receiver (LINK) will be on and the locking light (LINK)on transmitter will be on
after the link connection.

ⅦRegular failure and failure elimination
. The power light (POW) doesn’t on.
Check the power adapter ,input voltage and output voltage.
2. The locking light (LINK) on receiver is on ,but the image on monitor
rolling.
A” Maybe the transmission distance has reach the limitation,or the fiber
optical connector is not clear, or the fiber optical connector is not good or
damaged.
B” Test the output power of transmitter by the fiber power device to check
weather it could reach the requirement.
C” Clean the fiber optical connector with absolute alcohol and test the
output powerto check weather it could reach the requirement.
3. The cameras ,video monitor has started to work , the fiber optical
system works well too (LINK light is on) ,but there is no image on
monitor.
A” The coaxial-cable have connected, but the coasial-cable channel is
different with the optical transceiver channel.
B” Change the probable damaged video card of monitor.
C” Change the probable damaged video card of front-end equipment.
D” If the mother board is normal in chassis where installed the receiver,
connect the optical transceiver in a good working link .If the transmitter

doesn’t works, the problem is in connection of neck, and if the transmitter
work well, there is no problem in neck and in receiver.
E” Install the optical transceiver in another neck of the chassis, if the
receiver works well, the problem maybe in the connection of the neck, and if
the receiver doesn’t work, change another power adapter and check it again.
F” If it could not work well after change a good power adaper, install the
chassis in a good working link .Make sure the installation is correct ,if the
chasis could not work, change a power adapter, if it still could not
work ,change another neck. If all necks could not work, the problem is in the
mother board.
4. Data could not communicate
Check the data light (DATA) is on or not ,data input /output connection
correction. The data format is the same as the optical transceiver or not.
