with a single keystroke. Eight ZONES can be configured per system keyboard (see section 5-10)
providing an overall Zonal Switching capability for each keyboard of sixty-four cameras to sixty-four
monitors.
Practical applications for Zonal Switching are endless but here are a few that we know have been
successfully implemented by our customers.
Using Zonal Switching to switch between floors of Car Parks and Department Stores.
Using Zonal Switching to route cameras to Quad Screen splitters and Multiplexers.
Using Zonal Switching to route S-VHS Y/C signals to VCR’s.
A typical application would involve a monitor wall and an operator control monitor. The operator would
select and operate cameras displayed on the control monitor. Zonal Switching would take place on the
monitor wall with the operator being able to view up to sixty-four cameras with just eight keystrokes.
If a particular picture on the monitor wall demanded closer inspection it would be transferred to the
operators monitor for instant control access by simply entering the camera number.
