1.2 How and what you can use this appliance for
This hand mixer is for blending, kneading and mixing food in
amounts typical for home use. Any other use is not intended
andposessignicantrisktotheoperator.Thishandmixeris
not suitable for commercial use.

1.3 Children and certain categories of people
Increased risk of injury exists for certain categories of people:
This appliance may not be used by children. The appliance
and its power cable must be kept out of the reach of chil-
dren.
This hand mixer may be used by people with reduced physi-
cal, sensory or mental abilities or lacking experience and/or
knowledge only under careful supervision and after having
been instructed on its safe operation and after having been
made aware of the resulting risks:
– Risk of electrical shock
– Risk from rotating accessory parts
Insufcientsupervisionwhileunpluggingthehandmixer
from the plug socket.
Never allow children to play with the hand mixer
Cleaning and maintenance of this hand mixer may not be
performed by children or people with reduced physical, sen-
sory or mental abilities or those lacking the experience and/
or knowledge.
Keep the hand mixer and power cable out of the reach of
children.
Keep packaging materials out of reach of children. Risk of
suffocation!
1.4 Power supply
This appliance operates under a dangerous electrical voltage
that can cause fatal electrical shock:
Do not use this appliance outdoors or in rooms with high air
humidity (e.g. bathroom).
Plug this appliance into a properly installed grounded plug
socket only.

Only operate this appliance when the voltage stated on the
rating plate matches the voltage supplied by the plug sock-
et.
Ensure that the power cable is not bent or sandwiched.
Never use this appliance when the power cable or the ap-
pliance itself are damaged.
Ensure that the speed controller is set to [0] before plugging
the appliance into the plug socket. Ensure that the speed
controller is set to [0] before removing the plug from the
plug socket.
Never pull the power cable when removing the plug from
the plug socket – only ever pull the plug itself. Do not carry
this appliance by its power cable.
Never touch the plug with damp or wet hands. Never lift the
appliance with damp hands or operate it on a wet surface.
Never place the hand mixer in water or any liquid. Do not
clean it under running water and never place it in the dish-
washer.
When plugged in, this appliance remains under an electri-
cal charge – even when switched off (speed controller set to
[0]).
Immediately remove it from the plug socket after use, in the
event of risk or in the event of fault.
To this end, always maintain easy accessibility to the plug
socket it is plugged into.
Take special care to unplug the appliance before cleaning
or maintenance.
Do not wind the power cable around the appliance.
Never open the appliance and never make any technical
modicationstoit.

1.5 Howtopreventinjuryanddamage
Incorrectuseofthehandmixerposessignicantriskofacci-
dent. Please always observe the following instructions to mini-
mise such risk:
There is a potential injury from misuse. Please handle it with
care.
Check the appliance and its accessories before each use.
Only use the appliance and its accessories when in perfect
working order.
Use only the original accessories included in delivery.
Do not insert any items inside the casing.
Hold the appliance only by its grip when using.
Never use objects in the working container during use and
never touch accessories that are still running. Hair, mouth,
tongue, hands clothing and jewellery must be kept away
from running accessories to prevent injury.
Do not glue extraneous materials to the appliance.
Never cover the appliance’s ventilation slots during use.

Useasufcientlylargeworkingcontainer.
Remember that working with liquids may cause spray. But-
ter and margarine, in particular, should always be at room
temperature before working with them. Hot liquids present
risk of scalding!
Firm ingredients, such as nuts, must be folded into the mix-
ture for blending by hand.
Do not remove the appliance from the working container
until it has come to a complete stop. The appliance contin-
ues to run for a short time after it has been switched off.
Never place the appliance on a hot surface.

Store the appliance in such a way that it cannot fall into a
sink, basin etc.
Place the working container with the mixture for blending
onaat,rmsurface.
Do not use the appliance for periods longer than 4 min-
utes at a time to prevent risk of overheating and the motor
switching off automatically.
Avoid prolonged periods of use (particularly the turbo fea-
ture) to prevent the appliance from overheating and the
motor automatically switching off. The maximum period of
use for the turbo feature is 2 minutes.
Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before
changing accessories or approaching parts that move in
use.
Unplug the appliance before performing work on the appli-
ance, such as cleaning or maintenance, as well as when it is
not under supervision or in use.
Only ever clean the appliance with a soft, slightly damp
cloth. Make sure that no moisture enters the casing when
cleaning.
Never use corrosive cleaning agents, wire brushes, scouring
pads or metallic or sharp objects for cleaning the appliance.
Store the appliance in a dry and cool place inaccessible to
children and pets.
1.6 If you discover a fault
A faulty appliance can lead to damage and injury:
Never use a faulty appliance or defective accessories.
Check the hand mixer for damage before each use. If you
discover damage, immediately contact customer service (see
5.2CustomerService)oraqualiedtechnician.

3 Beforeusingforthersttime
3.1 Unpacking
1. Removeallpackagingmaterialsbeforeusingforthersttime.
2. Dispose of packaging materials in an environmentally friendly manner or keep
them for future storage of your hand mixer.
3. Check that delivery is complete (see Packaging and 1 Overview and delivery
contents) and intact.
IMPORTANT:
Do not use the hand mixer if parts are missing or damaged. Immediately contact
the retailer you purchased the hand mixer from or contact customer service
(see 5.2 Customer service).
4. Completely unwind the power cable.
3.2 Cleaning accessories
1. Clean accessories with washing up liquid in hot water or in the dishwasher.
2. Accessories come into contact with food. It is therefore important that you dry
them and ensure that all traces of cleaning detergent are removed.

4.1 Accessories and range of applications
4.2 Attaching accessories
1. Ensure that the plug has been removed from
the plug socket.
2. Setthespeedcontrollerto[0](g.2).
3. Guide the accessory into the respective aper-
tureonthebottomofthehandmixer(g.3).
IMPORTANT:
Inserttheaccessory,whichisttedwithaspacer
ring, into the larger aperture on the bottom of
the hand mixer. It is not possible to insert the
accessory any other way!
4. Insert the accessory into the aperture until it
audiblyandnoticeableclicksintoplace(g.3).

4.3 Operatingyourhandmixer
1. Ensurethatthespeedcontrollerissetto[0](g.2)andthattheaccessoryis
rmlyattached(g.3).
2. Insert the plug into the plug socket.
3. Hold the accessory in the prepared working container.
Setthespeedcontrollertothedesiredspeedsetting(g.2).
ÂThe hand mixer starts working.
IMPORTANT:
Begin by mixing ingredients at a low speed before incrementally increasing it to
the recommended speed setting for that type of food.
CAUTION!
Extended operation leads to damage!
Ensure that you do not use the hand mixer for more than 4 minutes.
Take particular care not to use the turbo feature for more than 2 minutes.
If the hand mixer becomes hot and begins to smell, switch it off and unplug it
immediately.
Allow the hand mixer to cool completely and check for possible damage be-
fore restarting it.

4.4 Turbo feature
The[Turbo]button(g.2)canbeaddedatanytime(alsoin[0]setting)andisfor
brieyusingtheapplianceatmaximumspeed.
1. Pressthe[Turbo]button(g.2)whiletheapplianceisinoperation.
2. Release the [Turbo] button to stop the Turbo feature.
CAUTION!
Overheating causes damage!
The appliance is equipped with a protection feature that switches the motor off
in the event of possible overheating.
Do not use the Turbo feature for longer than 2 minutes to prevent the motor
from overheating.
Should overheating cause the appliance to automatically switch off, remove
the plug from the plug socket.
Allow the hand mixer to cool completely and check for possible damage be-
fore restarting it.
4.5 Switching off and accessory release
1. Switch the appliance off by setting the speed
controllerto[0](g.2).
CAUTION!
Risk of injury and damage from rotating acces-
sory parts!
The appliance continues to run for a short time
after it has been switched off.
Wait until the appliance has come to a com-
plete standstill before removing it from the
working container.
2. Remove the plug from the plug socket.
3. Set the speed controller to [E] and press it
downward(g.4).

4.6 Cleaning
WARNING!
Risk of injury and damage from incorrect cleaning:
Ensure that the plug has been removed from the plug socket before cleaning
the appliance.
Never insert the appliance in water or any liquid.
Do not use abrasive cleaning utensils, such as steel wool, or corrosive cleaning
agents, such as thinner, alcohol etc. to clean the casing.
1. Clean accessories with washing up liquid in hot water or in the dishwasher.
2. If needed, only ever wipe the appliance with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Make
sure that no moisture enters the casing when cleaning.
3. Accessories come into contact with food. It is therefore important that you dry
the cleaned hand mixer and accessory and ensure that all residuals have been
removed.
4. Store the hand mixer in a dry place out of the reach of children.

6 Warrantyanddisposal
6.1 Warranty
A statutory manufacturer’s warranty is valid 2 years from the date of purchase.
Excluded from this warranty is damage caused resulting from failure to observe
this user manual, incorrect operation or from normal wear and tear. Unauthorised
servicing or repairs to this appliance render this warranty invalid. The use of this
appliance in commercial environments and purely visual traces of wear are also
excluded from the manufacturer's warranty. We reserve the right to make any
technicalmodications.
