®isanIPaudiosystemwhichallowsyoutoplayanacousticmessage
oranyotheraudiostreamfromanyLAN/WAN–connectedPC.Allyouhavetodotoget
avirtualbroadcastingexchangeisconnectastandardloudspeakeroramplifiertoyour
.Thevirtualexchangehelpsyouplayanyaudiosystemandcreate2N NetSpeaker

separate zones with different communication contents. You can make use of your
existing LAN/WAN while installing your system to save the total2N NetSpeaker
®
implementationtimeand,ofcourse,cutyourwiringcosts.
The IPAudioSystemconsistsoftwobasiccomponents–aserver2N NetSpeaker
®
andanaudioconverter.TheControlPanelsoftwarehasbeendevelopedtoconfigurethe
whole broadcasting system. Console and Player are software products designed for
everyday use – broadcasting messages via a microphone and easy music playing
respectively.Moreover,youcanusetheAndroidapplicationforbasicoperations.

Default configuration of the NetSpeaker is DHCP = ON (automatic IP address
configuration), SEARCH MODE = ON (Netspeaker will search for a server).

® is a LAN audio converter designed for public sound distribution

It is very easy to connect electrically. Follow the steps below to2N NetSpeaker

®is equipped with a power amplifier for 1 (MONO) or 2 (STEREO)
loudspeakers. The loudspeakers to be used must have the nominal impedance of
4–16Ohm.Possibleconfigurationsandrelatedmaximumpoweroutputs(sinus,THD<
1%)areincludedinthetablebelow:

3.5mmjackisavailableonthefrontpanel.
Digital Input and Output

® is equipped with a relay switch for light signalling/external
amplifier/alarm/activation. The is available on terminals marked LOGIC OUToutput
andallowsforswitchingofupto24V/1AAC/DCloads.Programtheoutputeithertothe
N/O(normallyopen)orN/C(normallyclosed)mode.
Warning Do not exceed the upper voltage and current limits to avoid irreversible
damageoftheequipment.
2N NetSpeaker
®isequippedwithadigital for anoptionalbutton,sensorofinput
movementorotherapplications.ThisinputisavailableontheLOGICINterminal.Upto
5to24VDCvoltagecanbeappliedtotheinputagainstthegroundterminalmarked
DCIN–.
WarningDonotexceedthemaximumvoltagevalues(24V)appliedtotheLOGICIN
inputtoavoidirreversibledamageoftheequipment.

interface via the RJ–45 connector on the back panel. Always use CAT–5d or higher
classcablesforreliabilityreasons.TheLANinterfaceisequippedwiththeAutoMDIX
functionforautomaticdetectionofastraightorcross–overcable.
TheLANinterfacecanalsobeusedforthe powersupplythrough2N NetSpeaker
®
activenetworkelementsorinjectorsmeetingtheIEEE802.3afstandard.
Note:WithPoE,theintegratedamplifierpoweroutputislimitedto8W.Toutilisethe
maximumpoweroutputoftheamplifier,feed fromanexternal12V2N NetSpeaker

DC/2Apowersupply.

Connectthe12VDCpowersupplyeithertothebackpanelsupplyconnectormarked
DCIN,orterminalsmarkedDCIN+andDCIN–.
WarningIfyouuseanadapterotherthantherecommendedone,donotexceedthe
nominalsupplyvoltagevalueof12V.Alsomakesurethatthesupplyvoltagepolarityis
correct.Exceedingnominalvaluesand/orincorrectconnectionmayleadtoirreversible
damageoftheequipment.

Insomecases,itmaybeusefultoresetthe factoryvaluesusingthe2N NetSpeaker
®
RESETbuttononthebackpanel.Dothis,forexample,if ceasesto2N NetSpeaker
®
respond,whichmaybecausedbyincorrectLANsettings,LANconfigurationchanges,
forgottenpasswordandsoon.
Resetting Procedure:
Useathinrigidtool(atoothpickorapaperclip)topresstheRESETbuttononthe
backpanel.
KeeptheRESETbuttonpressedaslongasthefrontpanelLEDisshininggreen
(approx.for10s).
ReleasethebuttonassoonastheLEDstartsflashingyellowquickly.Itmeans
thattheconfigurationintheinternalFLASHmemoryisbeingdeleted.
Thisoperationtakesabout50s.Donotdisconnectthedevicefrompowersupplyduring
thisperiod.

What you should know
Sourcescanbetype–filteredinthe header.Input sources
Upon power up, the server automatically launches and starts
playingallsessionsthatwereactivebeforepoweroff.
Higherpriorityof the activeSession thatalways guarantees
thisSessionwilloccupyallDestinationsassignedtoit.
Thelast–createdFreeridesessionhasthehighest priority =is
playing.
Sessions
The session determines the – connection, i.e. defines whichSource Destination
source will be played to which destination. The left session part defines and helps
