area of the safety airbag, since this can
lead to serious injuries.

V. Operation
-Connect the plug of the supplied cable
(10) with the related charging connector
(1).
-Connect the other side of the cable with
a suitable source of energy. Always con-
sider the mentioned voltage and power
information on your devices in this step.
-Wait until the product is fully charged
before you continue. Disconnect the
cable after the charging, to conserve the
battery life.
-The LED indicator (3) lights up red
during charging and turns off when the
battery is charged
-If the LED indicator light flashes or lights
up, switch off the device by keeping
the On-/Off-Switch (5) pressed for 5
seconds.
-Keep the On-Off Switch (5) pressed for
3 seconds, until the LED starts alternate
flashing in red and blue color.
-Go to the Bluetooth settings of your
smartphone and search for following
device: 4smarts B5
-If you are asked to enter a code after
successfully connecting, you can use the
code „0000“.
-The LED indicator light (3) shows the
successful connection by flashing with
only blue light.
-The devices are now successfully
connected. From now on, the connection
will be set up automatically.
-Briefly press the On / off switch (5)
to switch the device on or off without
interrupting the connection.
-Deactivate the Bluetooth function on your
connected device if you want to connect
a second device simultaneously. Repeat
the above steps on your second device,
and activate the Bluetooth at the first
device at the very end. The product now
connects to both devices at the same
time (MultiPoint).

VII. Troubleshooting
VI. Function notes
Resetting the device:
-Keep + and - pressed together on the
volume switch (4) for 5 seconds to
reset the settings.
Setting up the connection doesn‘t work:
-Make sure that the product:
- is fully charged.
- is inside the working range of the
device.
- is not already connected to any other
device (deactivate Bluetooth at surroun-
ding, other devices).
The product turns off automatically after 2
minutes, if it is not connected to a device.
-LED states & meaning
Electric and electronic devices as well
as batteries must not be disposed of
with household waste. Consumers are
obliged by law to return electric and
electronic devices as well as batteries at
the end of their service lives to the public
collecting points set up for this purpose or
point of sale.
Dispose of packaging material immediately
according to locally applicable regulations.

-Volume Switch:
Keep + or - pressed on the volume switch
(4) to regulate the sound volume.
-Next/Previous:
Shortly press + or - on the volume switch
(4) to jump from one song to another.
-Play/Pause:
Shortly press the Multifunction key (5) to
pause or continue while listening to music.
-Take a call / reject a call:
Press the multifunction key (5) shortly
to take a call. Keep it pressed for one
second in order to reject a call.
-Fast ringback:
Shortly double press the multifunction key
(5) to re-dial the number you last called.
-Mute Button:
If you press the mute button (7) during
the call, your call partner is no longer
able to hear you.
-Language select
Press and hold the mute button for 1
second to select the language.
-Voice dialing
When in standby mode, press the mul-
tifunction key (5) once to control calls
directly from the voice dialing.
-Navigation:
Start the navigation app on your smart-
phone to navigate to your destination via
loudspeaker.

-Make sure that your terminal device
- is compatible to the Bluetooth version,
listed in the technical data in this
manual.
- has an active Bluetooth connection, and
is in pairing mode.
- does not have other, active connections
running.
-Depending on the terminal device and
its software, setting up the connection
may take longer. Wait up to a minute,
or try again in surroundings with less or
minimal radio communication.
The communication is not clear:
-Try again in a mostly wind and hall free
surrounding.
-Try to connect the product to a different
terminal device.
-Try to call to a different terminal device.
-Attach the clip in a way, that the micro-
phone is targeting upside, and close to
the mouth.
-Try again in surroundings with less or
minimal radio communication.
The phone call or the music do not play
on the device’s speaker:
-Apps like e.g. Whatsapp decide itself
which speaker they use for phone calls,
messages and music streaming. If the af-
fected application does not support Blue-
tooth protocols for a specific service or
not at all, they will use the speaker of the
smartphone instead. In order to exclude
a defect of the Bluetooth device, please
try a phone call via mobile network and
your pre-installed phone dialer.
I. Sicherheitshinweise
-Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Schmutz,
Feuchtigkeit, Überhitzung und extremen
Temperaturen und verwenden Sie es nur
in trockenen Räumen.
-Lassen Sie das Produkt nicht fallen und

oder USB-Anschlüsse zum Aufladen.
-Verwenden Sie defekte Ladegeräte oder
USB-Anschlüsse generell nicht mehr und
versuchen Sie nicht, diese zu reparieren.
-Überladen oder tiefentladen Sie das
Produkt nicht. Laden & entladen Sie das
Produkt mindestens alle 3 Monate.
-Dieses Produkt ist kein Spielzeug, geben
Sie es daher nicht in Kinderhände.
-Im Falle eines undichten Akkus darf die
Flüssigkeit nicht mit der Haut oder den Au-
gen in Berührung gelangen. Spülen Sie im
Falle einer Berührung mit reichlich Wasser
aus und konsultieren Sie einen Arzt.
-Lassen Sie das Produkt nur von Fachleu-
ten einbauen und reparieren.
-Öffnen Sie das Gerät nicht und betreiben
Sie es bei Beschädigungen nicht weiter.
-Beachten Sie, dass sicherheitsrelevante
Komponenten des Fahrzeugs und Ihre
Sicht durch elektronische Geräte nicht
eingeschränkt werden dürfen
-Platzieren Sie die Freisprecheinrichtung
nicht über dem Bereich des Sicherheit
Airbags, da dies zu schweren Verletzun-
gen führen kann.
-Achten Sie bei der Benutzung stets auf
die StVo des jeweiligen Landes.
-Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung nur
trockene, weiche Tücher.

IV. Bildbeschreibung Geräte-Reset:
-Halten Sie + und - zusammen auf der
Lautstärkeregelung (4) für 5 Sekunden
gedrückt, um die Einstellungen zurück-
zusetzen.
Der Verbindungsaufbau funktioniert nicht:
-Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Produkt
- vollständig geladen ist.
- sich in Reichweite zum Gerät befindet.
- nicht bereits mit anderen Geräten
verbunden ist (ggf. Bluetooth an anderen
Geräten deaktivieren).
-Stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihr Endgerät
- kompatibel zu der in den technischen An-
gaben angegebenen Bluetooth Version ist.
- eine aktive Bluetooth-Verbindung hat, und
sich im Pairing-Modus befindet.
- keine anderen aktiven Geräteverbindungen
besitzt.
-Je nach Endgerät und dessen Software
kann die erstmalige Verbindungsaufnahme
länger dauern. Warten Sie bis zu einer
Minute, oder versuchen Sie es ggf. erneut
in einer Umgebung mit geringerem bzw.
minimalem Funkverkehr.
Die Verständigung ist nicht klar:
-Versuchen Sie es erneut in einer wind- und
hallfreien Umgebung.
-Versuchen Sie die Verbindung zu einem
anderen Endgerät.
-Rufen Sie auf einem anderen Telefon an.
-Bringen Sie den Clip so an, dass sich das
Mikrofon nach oben gerichtet, und in
Mundnähe befindet.
-Versuchen Sie es ggf. erneut in einer Um-
gebung mit geringerem bzw. minimalem
Funkverkehr.
Das Gespräch oder die Musik wird nicht
auf dem Bluetooth-Gerät wiedergegeben:
-Welcher Lautsprecher für Anrufe,
Benachrichtigungen oder Musik-Streaming
genutzt wird, entscheiden Apps wie z.B.
Whatsapp selbst. Viele Dienste unterstützen
keine Bluetooth-Protokolle. In diesem Fall
ist Telefonieren oder Musikwiedergabe über
Bluetooth nicht möglich. Bitte versuchen
Sie, um einen Defekt des Bluetooth-Geräts
auszuschließen, einen Anruf über das Mo-
bilfunknetz und der auf dem Smartphone
vorinstallierten Telefon-Applikation.
Das Produkt schaltet sich nach2 Minuten
automatisch ab, wenn keine Verbindung zu
einem Gerät hergestellt wird.
-LED-Status & Bedeutung:
-Verbinden Sie den Stecker des mitgelie-
ferten Kabels (10) mit dem entsprechen-
den Lade-Anschluss (1).
-Verbinden Sie die andere Seite des
Kabels mit einer geeigneten Stromquelle.
Achten Sie hierbei stets auf die genann-
ten Spannungs- und Leistungsangaben
Ihrer Geräte.
-Warten Sie bis das Produkt vollständig
geladen ist, bevor Sie fortfahren. Trennen
Sie nach vollständigem Laden das Kabel,
um den Akku zu schonen.
-Die LED-Statusanzeige (3) leuchtet rot
während des Ladevorgangs und schaltet
sich ab, wenn der Akku aufgeladen ist.
-Sollte die LED-Statusanzeige (3)
aufleuchten oder blinken, schalten Sie
das Produkt zunächst aus, indem Sie
den An-Ausschalter (5) für 5 Sekunden
gedrückt halten.
-Halten Sie den An-Ausschalter (5) für 3
Sekunden gedrückt, bis die LED abwech-
selnd rot und blau aufleuchtet.
-Gehen Sie in die Bluetooth-Einstellungen
Ihres Smartphones und suchen Sie nach:
4smarts B5
-Sollten Sie nach dem Verbindungsaufbau
nach einem Passwort gefragt werden,
wählen Sie „0000“.
-Die LED-Statusanzeige (3) signalisiert
nun durch blaues Aufleuchten den erfolg-
reichen Verbindungsaufbau.
-Die Geräte sind nun erfolgreich gekop-
pelt. Der Verbindungsaufbau findet von
nun an stets automatisch statt.
-Drücken Sie kurz den An- / Ausschalter
(5), um das Gerät an- oder auszuschalten
ohne die Verbindung zu unterbrechen.

Tippen Sie die Multifunktionstaste (5)
2x kurz an, zum Anrufen der zuletzt
gewählten Nummer.
-Mute Taste:
Wenn Sie während des Gesprächs die
Mute Taste (7) betätigen, ist es Ihrem
Gesprächspartner nicht mehr möglich
Sie zu hören.
-Sprachauswahl:
Halten Sie die Mute Taste für 1 Sekunde
gedrückt, um die Sprache auszuwählen.
-Sprachwahlaktivierung:
Drücke Sie im Standby-Modus einmal die
Multifunktionstaste (5), um Anrufe direkt
über die Sprachwahl zu steuern.
-Deaktivieren Sie die Bluetooth Funktion
am gekoppelten Gerät, um ggf. eine
gleichzeitige Verbindung mit einem
zweiten Gerät aufzubauen. Wiederholen
Sie dafür oben genannte Schritte
ein weiteres Mal. Aktivieren Sie das
Bluetooth des ersten Gerät nach dem
erneuten Verbindungsaufbau, um mit
beiden gleichzeitig Geräten verbunden zu
sein (MultiPoint).

Starten Sie Ihre Navigations-App auf
Ihrem Smartphone, um über den
Lautsprecher während der Fahrt zu
navigieren.
