Controls: Applicable to AM7E-001 Valve Only
There are two controls used to operate the AM7E-001 flow control valve:
The first control is the SWITCH by which the operator can select
a high or low flow range.
The second is the flow rate ADJUSTMENT KNOB. This control
knob allows the operator to set a desired flow rate in either the
high flow or low flow range.

H1 COMMUNICATION SET-UP
CAUTION
Parameters are pre-set at the manufacturer.
Step 1
Connect Industrial Ethernet cable between actuator and DHCP
server or DHCP router
Step 2
Launch flash enable internet web browser.
Step 3
Type in web address found on actuator.
Step 4
Follow set-up procedures.
NOTE
DHCP “Dynamic Hosting Configuration Protocol” is a method that automatically
assigns IP addresses to devices connected to a network without manually
configuring everything connected to a computer or server. Due to the wide variety of
computers, networks, servers, routers and operating systems, a “DHCP” device is
highly recommended for a quick and easy set-up. The “DHCP” device is either a
server or router depending upon the end users network configurations.
If an end user is manually configuring their network, they should contact their IT
department.

VALVE INSTALLATION
RECOMMENDATION
The purge port on an Amflow®valve should be connected to a “return to
tank line” with a needle valve. This aids in the following:
Helps remove air from valve upon start-up.
Provides a means of cleaning jets with high pressure in the event of
chemical build-up.
IMPORTANT
Proper filtration is critical for low flow applications.
RECOMMENDATION: 50 micron filter
VALVE START-UP
Step 1
Turn adjustment knob counter-clockwise to a soft “Stop”.
Then, turn one (1) revolution clock-wise.
Step 2
Close Inlet Isolation valve of each valve in system
Step 3
Start pump
Adjust system pressure to accommodate pressure requirements
CAUTION
IMPROPER INSTALLATION AND START-UP MAY CAUSE DAMAGE
IMPORTANT
This is especially important for valves configured to flow less than 5 lph

Step 4
VERY SLOWLY open Outlet Isolation Valve.
Step 5
VERY SLOWLY open Inlet Isolation Valve.
This allows fluid to be introduced gradually.
Once Amflow®valve has been filled with fluid, there is little risk of
damage.
Step 6
Allow sufficient time for media to flush any trapped air out of valve.
Step 6
Once all air is eliminated, begin system operation.
Step 7
Turn valve adjustment handle to ensure that it turns easily.
WARRANTY
Amflow®warranty does not cover Amflow® valves if proper chemical filtration is
not provided. Reference full warranty at back of Installation and Service Manual
provided with your Amflow®product.
PROCEED with CAUTION
This is very important, especially at high system pressures to prevent potential
damage to seals and other internal components of valve.
IMPORTANT:
On valves that are configured to meter less that 10 liters per hour it is very important
that at least 20 minutes be allowed for this step.
Trapped air can cause the set flow rate of valve to diminish slowly.

Safety SAFETY INFORMATION
Usage
Use products only within range of pressure and temperature conditions
indicated on product data sheet.
Do not use with chemicals which are incompatible with 316SS or with
seal materials.
Equipment is certified for Group 2 Category II.
Equipment should not be used in systems requiring a higher level of
certification.
Faults and Damage
The safety features and integrity of products may be compromised by any of the
following:
External damage to body.
Exposure to pressure loads in excess of maximum rated pressure.
Maintenance performed by improperly trained personnel.
Protection from Pressure Releases
To avoid injury due to release of high pressure, use only adaptors and
fittings rated to withstand appropriate pressure.
Ensure all adaptors and fittings are securely connected.
To avoid a violent release of pressure, slowly bleed off pressure before
attaching or removal from pressure line.
Avoid Mechanical Damage
Caution must be observed not to damage any threaded components
during maintenance procedure.
Such damage could compromise the pressure safety factor of filter.
When replacing seals, care must be exercised to avoid damage to
sealing surfaces.
Damage could lead to a sudden release of pressure during
operation.
