solar charge controllers that shall be followed during installation and maintenance. Various models
of the GVB are available to charge different battery types as follows:

LITHIUMWARNING:takecautionwhenworkingwithlithiumsystems. The controllersusethe
CC/CVchargingprofile indicatedonthecontroller. Checkthespecificationsofthebatterypackto
ensurethattheCVvoltageiscorrect.Furthercheck that
thepowersuppliedbythesolararray
and controlleriswithinthebatteryspecifieddesignlimits.
LITHIUMBMSWARNING: recommendusingalithiumbatterywithaBatterymanagementsystem
capableof
disconnectingthesolarchargecontrollerintheeventthatanycellinthe packis
outsideofitsratedtemperature,current,or
voltagerange.Failuretodosomayresultinproperty
damage,injuryordeath. HighlyrecommendstheuseofaBmswith cellbalancing. Cell
balancingismandatoryforlithium-ironphosphatesystems.
Useonly10-30AWGcopperconductorssuitableforaminimumof60degreesC. Ifoperationat
highpowerorathighambient
temperaturesisexpected,wirewithahighertemperaturerating
maybenecessary.
Inspection&Maintenance
Inspect the controller at least once per year to ensure proper performance.

Check for animal or insect damage.
•
Inspectforcorrosion/waterdamage.
•
Inspectthesecurityofallconnections.
