STF XP T3
BTE instruments utilize electrostatic sensitive devices
(ESD) which are very sensitive to static charges and
may be destroyed by such charges. All work on open
hearing instruments therefore is recommended at
workplaces according to ESD regulations to prevent
the accumulation of static charges.

Service Instructions
Whenever the instrument housing is opened or exchanged, it is important to follow these instructions when
assembling the instrument.
Required tools:
Tool Removal (order number: 10600047), tweezers
1. There shall be a gap between the receiver box and the frame wing.
2. To achieve this, adjust the receiver assembly as shown in Fig. 1.
For a correct result, refer to Fig. 2 and 3. For an incorrect result (no gap) refer to Fig. 4.

3. The rear side of the NT base shall assemble into the bottom housing. Use the rib at the bottom housing
and a slot at the frame as a reference point to insert the NT base.

4. The NT base shall align with the rib on the bottom housing as shown in Fig. 6 and 7.

5. The rear side of the NT base (shown with no. 1 in the Fig. 8 and 9) shall align according to step 4 and
5 before pushing down the screw-on-connector into the bottom housing (shown with no. 2 in Fig. 8
and 9).

6. Push down the rocker switch to ensure that the NT base is fully seated in the bottom housing as shown
in Fig .10.

7. The push button shall assemble into the top housing according to the correct orientation (reference
point in red circle in Fig. 11). There are two holes and the push button seal as a guidance (shown in
Fig. 12 to 14)

8. Assemble the top housing into the bottom housing and the NT base according to the sequence as
shown in Fig. 15.

9. Assemble the battery door.
10. Assemble the axle pins according to the sequence as shown in Fig. 16.

11. Assemble the ear hook. Note the correct thread before starting to turn the ear hook.

12. The ear hook shall touch the frame (Fig. 18) and the ear hook rib shall not be damaged (Fig. 19).
