Abilia CARY Base User manual

CARY Base is a calendar clock for people who need
extra help keeping track of the hours of the day, as
well as the day’s events.
CARY Base shows information about the date and time,
as well as whether it is morning, daytime, evening or
night. By pressing the screen, the information will be
read out loud.
The day’s events can be shown on the screen, and
spoken reminders can be received at desired times.
Family members or caregivers can help to keep your
calendar up-to-date remotely.

USING CARY BASE
Place CARY Base in a spot where the user is
frequently present. For example, this could be
the bedroom, at the TV, or in the kitchen.
Connect to the Internet and the myAbilia web
service if family members and caregivers need to
keep the daily plan updated remotely.
CUSTOMISING CARY BASE
Set what should be shown on the screen
according to the user’s needs. Remember to set
the CARY Base so that the screen shows ”night”
when the user should sleep, and ”morning”
when the user gets up.
Instead of pressing the screen, an external
switch (accessory) can be used to have the
information read out loud.
GET AN OVERVIEW
Use the day plan in CARY Base to show the
most important events of the day.
GET REMINDERS
If desired, CARY Base can emit a signal when
an event begins. At the same time, a voice
message can also be played.
CARY Base is a medical device intended for
indoor use in a home environment.
