INSTALLATION
Beachte die folgenden Faktoren bezüglich der Positionierung des Solarpanels.
Diese Faktoren können die Ezienz des Solarpanels beeinträchtigen:
• Montiere das Solarpanel an einem Ort, der das ganze Jahr über gleichmäßig von der Sonne
beschienen wird. Für einen geladenen Kamera-Akku genügen in der Regel nur ein paar Stunden
direktes Sonnenlicht pro Tag.
• Wetterbedingungen, jahreszeitliche Veränderungen und die geograsche Lage haben Einuss auf
die Stromerzeugung des Solarpanels.
• Schmutz oder Ablagerungen auf dem Panel kann die Aufnahme von Sonnenlicht negativ beeinussen.
Markiere am gewünschten Einsatzort mithilfe der Bohrscha-
blone oder der Wandhalterung und z. B. einem Sti die
Position der benötigten 3 Bohrlöcher. Hierfür kannst du die
Halterung auseinanderschrauben. Beachte bei der Wahl des
Standorts auch die max. Kabellänge des Solarpanels.
Bohre die Löcher und lege die beiliegenden Dübel ein.
Befestigedie Wandhalterung mit den beiliegenden

Drehe das Kugelgelenk der Halterung mit dem Gewinde in
die entsprechende Önung auf der Rückseite des Solar-
panels. Ziehe die beiliegende Überwurfmutter an, sodass
Kugelgelenk und Solarpanel stabil verbunden sind.

Feinjustiere das Solarpanel so, dass es über den ganzen Tag
hinweg möglichst viel Sonnenlicht erhält. Wir empfehlen
das Solarpanel in einem Winkel von ca. 30° gegenüber einer
gedachten horizontalen Linie zu neigen. Schraube nun das
Kugelgelenk mithilfe der Flügelschraube fest.

Entferne auf der Rückseite deiner Akku-Kamera Pro die
originale rote Abdeckung vollständig, indem du die Gummi-
Verankerung der roten Abdeckung komplett herausziehst.

INSTALLATION
Setze die neue rote Abdeckung ein, die im Lieferumfang
des Solarpanels enthalten ist, sodass die neue Abdeckung
komplett eben zur Rückseite der Akku-Kamera Pro sitzt und
die Wasserdichtigkeit gewährleistet ist.

Tipp: Um den kleinen Gummi-Anker auf der Innenseite der
neuen Abdeckung in Position zu bringen kannst du einen
schmalen Gegenstand zu Hilfe nehmen, z. B. einen sehr
kleinen Schraubendreher. Versichere dich, dass der Anker
die neue rote Abdeckung sicher hält.

Wichtig: Um die geforderte Wasserdichtigkeit zu gewähr-
leisten muss die neue Abdeckung rundum eben und mittig
ohne Wölbung sitzen.

Verbinde den USB-C-Stecker des Solarpanel-Kabels
mit dem USB-C-Anschluss der Akku-Kamera Pro.
Achte darauf, dass der Stecker richtig und fest sitzt.
Achte ebenfalls darauf, dass die Gummi-Dichtun-
gen korrekt sitzen, damit die Wasserdichtigkeit
gewährleistet ist.
Tipp: In der Liveansicht der App siehst du anhand
des Batterie-Symbols - analog zum Laden eines
Smartphones - sobald das Solarpanel bei Sonnen-
schein den Kamera-Akku lädt.
Prüfe nach der abgeschlossenen Montage aller
Komponenten nochmals, dass die neue Abdeckung
auf der Rückseite der Kamera und der USB-C-
Stecker gut sitzen, damit die Verbindung wasser-
fest ist. Je nach Montage-Situation vor Ort: Zur
Zugentlastung bzw. nach Belieben kannst du das
Kabel zwischen Solarpanel und Kamera mithilfe
der Kabelschellen xieren.

Für den Betrieb mit Solarpanel bitte sicherstellen:
• Auf deiner Basisstation und Akku-Kamera Pro muss die aktuelle
Firmware-Version installiert sein.
Version prüfen? Gehe in der App den Pfad:
Kamera-Übersicht -> Live-Ansicht -> Kameraeinstellungen
-> Geräte-Einstellungen -> Suche Firmware-Update
Auf welche Punkte du bei einem Firmware-Update per App achten
musst ist in der Bedienungsanleitung der Akku-Kamera Pro beschrieben.
• In den Einstellungen der Akku-Kamera Pro, die mit dem Solarpanel
verbunden ist, muss der Betriebsmodus „Solar“ lauten.
Gehe dafür in der App den Pfad:
Kamera-Übersicht -> Live-Ansicht -> Kameraeinstellungen
-> Kamera 1/2/3/4-Einstellungen -> Betriebsmodus

WICHTIGE HINWEISE
Dein Solarpanel ist bestmöglich platziert, wenn ...
 es so installiert ist, dass es über den Tag hinweg möglichst viel Sonneneinstrahlung erhält:
auf der Nordhalbkugel (Standort z. B. in Europa, Nordamerika, Asien) in der Regel Richtung Süden,
auf der Südhalbkugel (Standort z. B. in Südamerika, Australien) in der Regel Richtung Norden.
es in einem Winkel von ca. 30° ausgerichtet ist (gegenüber einer gedachten horizontalen Linie)
Beachte außerdem:
• Befreie das Solarpanel regelmäßig von Staub und Schmutz.
• Ab einer Temperatur von unter 0° C wird die Kamera, zum Schutz des Akkus,
nicht mehr über das Solarpanel aufgeladen
• Stelle sicher, dass der USB-C-Stecker für eine entsprechende Wasserdichtigkeit
korrekt in den USB-C-Anschluss der Kamera eingesteckt ist.
• Wenn der USB-C-Stecker nicht mit dem USB-C-Anschluss verbunden ist musst du für
die geforderte Wasserdichtigkeit den Gummi-Verschluss korrekt auf die rote Abdeckung
der Kamera setzen.
• Informationen zur ABUS Akku-Kamera Pro mit Basisstation entnimmst du bitte
der Bedienungsanleitung der Kamera.

INSTALLATION
Note the following factors regarding the positioning of the solar panel.
These factors can aect the eciency of the solar panel:
• Mount the solar panel in a place that is exposed to a uniform level of sunlight all year round.
Only a few hours of direct sunlight per day are usually enough to keep the camera battery charged.
• Weather conditions, seasonal changes and the geographical location have an inuence on power
generation by the solar panel.
• Dirt or debris on the panel can adversely aect the absorption of sunlight.
Mark the position of the required 3 drill holes at the desired
location using the drilling template or wall bracket and a
pencil or similar instrument. You can unscrew the bracket
parts to do this. When choosing the location, also consider
the maximum cable length of the solar panel.
Drill the holes and insert the screw anchors provided.
Secure the wall bracket with the enclosed screws.

Turn the ball joint of the bracket with the thread into the cor-
responding opening on the back of the solar panel. Tighten
the enclosed union nut so that the ball joint and solar panel
are securely connected.

Finely adjust the solar panel so that it receives as much sun-
light as possible throughout the day. We recommend tilting
the solar panel at an angle of approx. 30° to an imaginary
horizontal line. Now tighten the ball joint with the wing
screw.

On the back of your Battery Cam Pro, completely remove
the original red cover by completely pulling out the rubber
anchor element of the red cover.

INSTALLATION
Insert the new red cover supplied with the solar panel so that
the new cover is seated completely ush with the back of the
Battery Cam Pro and ensures water-tightness.

Tip: You can use a narrow object, for example, a very small
screwdriver, to position the small rubber anchor element
on the inside of the new cover. Make sure that the anchor
element holds the new red cover securely.

Important: In order to guarantee the required water-tight-
ness, the new cover must be at all around and be posi-
tioned centrally without bulging.

Connect the USB-C connector of the solar panel ca-
ble to the USB-C port of the Battery Cam Pro. Make
sure that the plug is seated correctly and rmly.
Also make sure that the rubber seals are seated
correctly to ensure water-tightness.
Tip: In the live view of the app, it is possible to
see from the battery symbol when the solar panel
is charging the camera battery in sunshine – like
when charging a smartphone.
Aer you have nished assembling all the com-
ponents, check again that the new cover on the
back of the camera and the USB-C connector are
well seated so that the connection is water-tight.
Depending on the installation situation on site:
for strain relief or as desired, you can x the cable
between the solar panel and the camera using the
cable clips.

Please make sure of the following for operation with solar panel:
• Your base station and Battery Cam Pro must have the latest rmware
version installed.
Do you want to check the version? In the app, go to the path:
Camera overview -> Live view -> Camera settings -> Device settings ->
Search for rmware update
The points you need to pay attention to when updating the rmware via
the app are described in the operating instructions for the Battery Cam Pro.
• In the settings of the Battery Cam Pro connected to the solar panel,
the operating mode must be set to "Solar".
For this, go to the following path in the app:

IMPORTANT NOTES
Your solar panel is in the best possible position when ...
 it is installed so that it receives as much sunlight as possible throughout the day:
usually facing the south if in the northern hemisphere (e.g. in Europe, North America, Asia),
or facing the north if in the southern hemisphere (e.g. in South America, Australia).
it is aligned at an angle of approx. 30° (in relation to an imaginary horizontal line)
Also note:
• Regularly remove dust and dirt from the solar panel.
• At temperatures below 0°C, the camera is no longer charged via the solar panel
in order to protect the battery
• Ensure that the USB-C connector is correctly inserted into the camera's USB-C port
to ensure the required water-tightness.
• If the USB-C connector is not connected to the USB-C port, you must correctly t the
rubber cap on the red cover of the camera to ensure the required water-tightness.
• For information on the ABUS Battery Cam Pro with base station, please refer to the
camera operating instructions.

INSTALLATION
Prends en compte les facteurs suivants concernant le positionnement du panneau solaire.
Ces facteurs peuvent nuire à l'ecacité du panneau solaire :
• Installe le panneau solaire à un endroit où le soleil brille uniformément tout au long de l'année.
Pour une batterie chargée, il sut en général de quelques heures d'exposition directe au soleil par jour.
• Les conditions météorologiques, les changements saisonniers et la situation géographique ont une
inuence sur la production d'électricité du panneau solaire.
• La saleté ou les dépôts sur le panneau peuvent avoir une inuence négative sur la réception de la
lumière du soleil.
À l'aide du gabarit de perçage ou du support mural et d'un
crayon par exemple, marque la position des 3 trous néces-
saires à l'endroit souhaité. Pour cela, tu peux dévisser le
support. Lors du choix de l'emplacement, tiens également
compte de la longueur maximale du câble du panneau
solaire.
Perce les trous et insère les chevilles fournies.
Fixe le support mural avec les vis fournies.
