ACD-75211 is a reliable and affordable solution for SATA RAID 1 disk mirroring.
The RAID box mirrors data to two hard drives in RAID box simultaneously, and
delivers optimized performance. And featuring intelligent online recovery, the
RAID box lets you hot swap a failed hard drive and automatically rebuild the
data to the new hard drive without any system down time. The RAID box also
provides the high flexibility in SATA system interface .

RAID level 1 concept (Disk mirroring)
Disks.RAID1 is one of several RAID levels. RAID 1 also known as “Disk
mirroring”. Data are written to both disks simultaneously. RAID1 provides both
high reliability and continued data availability in the event of failure of an array
member. When a RAID1 member disk fails, array management simply directs all
application requests to the remaining disk. RAID1 is suitable for data which
reliability requirements are extremely high, or for data to which high
performance access is required.

Note
InneRAID®slim provides a SATA form DC power
connector and reserves an AT/ATX standard DC power
connector. Most of current AT/ATX power supply
module provides the SATA form DC power output
connectors. Just choose one of them for the DC power
input connection of InneRAID®Slim.

Install ACD-75211 into system
Follow the following instructions to establish the connection.
1. After fully configured RAID box.
2. Power down your host computer.
3. Mount the RAID box into the system.
4. Connecting the SATA cable from system computer to RAID box.
5. Connecting DC power from system power output to the DC
power input connector of RAID box.
6. After completing the above steps. Refer to next section for Starting
using the RIAD box.
tart using RAID box
Application 1: Two new disk drives.
1. Insert both hard drives into the RAID box.
2. Power on the host computer.
3. After system boot up, the RAID box will be recognized by host system.
And system treats it as a single disk.
4. Partition and format the array under OS before it can be used.
Application 2: Installing one hard drive with data and one
new hard drive.
1. The new hard drive must be the same capacity or larger capacity than the
hard drive with data.
2.Insert hard disk with data into the top slot and leave bottom Slot empty.
This identifies the disk with data as the source drive. (The host computer
must be in power-off status.)
3. Power on the host computer.
4. Insert the new hard drive into bottom slot. This identifies the newly
inserted hard drive as a target disk.

5. The RAID box will immediately begin mirroring the data from the source
hard drive to the new hard drive in bottom slot. Any old data on the newly
inserted hard drive will be lost, and is overwritten with the mirror image of
the source drive.
Note
If you have installed non-identical hard drives, your computer will
recognize RAID box as a single hard disk with a capacity equal to the
smaller hard disk drive installed in the RAID box.
