SafetyInstructions
Observethefollowingsafetyguidelineswhenconnection andusingyourmonitor:
•BesurethatyourmonitoriselectricallyratedtooperatewiththeACpoweravailableinyourlocation.
•Locateyourmonitornearaneasilyaccessibleelectricaloutlet.
•Placethemonitoronasolidsurfaceandtreatitcarefully. Thescreencanbedamagedifdropped,sharplyhit,ortouched
withasharporabrasiveimplement.
•Putyourmonitorinalocationwithlowhumidityand aminimumofdust.
•Neveruseyourmonitorifthepowercablehasbeendamaged.Donotallowanything toreston thepowercable,andkeep
thecableawayfrom wherepeoplecouldtripoverit.
•Neverinsertanythingmetallicintothemonitoropenings.Doing somaycreatethedangerofelectricshock.
•Toavoidelectricshock,nevertouchtheinsideofthemonitor.Onlyaqualifiedtechnicianshouldopenthemonitor’scase.
•Besuretoholdtheplug, notthecable,whendisconnectingthemonitorfromanelectricaloutlet.
•Openingsinthe monitorcabinetareprovidedforventilation. Topreventoverheating,these openingsshouldnotbe
blockedorcovered.Also,avoidusingthemonitoronabed,sofa,rug,orothersoftsurface.
•Doingsomayblocktheventilationopeningsinthebottom ofthecabinet.Ifyouputthemonitorinabookcaseorsome
otherenclosedspace,besuretoprovideadequateventilation.
•Donotexposethemonitortorainoruseitnearwater.Ifthemonitoraccidentallygetswet, unplugitandcontactan
authorizeddealerimmediately.Youcancleantheexteriorofthemonitorwithadampclothwhennecessary,butbesure
tounplug themonitorfirst.Ifyourmonitordoesnotoperatenormally-inparticular,ifthereareanyunusualsoundsorsmells
comingfromit-unplugthemonitorimmediatelyandcontactanauthorizeddealerorservicecenter.
TroubleshootingTips
NoPower-The monitor’spowerindicatorisoff.
Make surethemonitorpowercableisfullyinsertedinthemonitor’spowerportandtheelectricaloutlet.
Test theelectricalouletbyplugginginaworking electricaldevicesuchasalamp.
Tryanotherpowercableonthemonitor.Youcanusethecomputer’spowercabletoperformthistest.
NoVideo -The monitor’spowerindicatorisonbutthereareno
imageon the screen.
Ensurethatthevideoconnectorisproperlyconnectedtothecomputer.
Ensurethatthecomputerison andfunctioningproperly.
Turnoffthemonitorandcheckthevideocablepins.Makesureno pinsarebent.

a.Makesureboththemonitorand computerarepowered-OFF.
b.ConnecttheVGAvideocabletothecomputer.
1-2 ConnectDigitalCable(OnlyDual-InputModel)
a.Makesureboththemonitorand computerarepowered-OFF.
b.Connectoneendofthe24-pinDVIcabletothebackofthe
monitorandconnecttheotherend tothecomputer’sport.
1-3 ConnectHDMICable (OnlyHDMI-InputModel)
a.Makesureboththemonitorand computerarepowered-OFF.
b.ConnecttheHDMI cabletothecomputer.
2.ConnecttheAudioCable(OnlyAudio-InputModel)(Optional)
3. Connectpoweradaptorand powercord
Connectthepoweradaptorandpowercordtothemonitor,thentoa
properlygroundedACoutlet.
4. Power-ON MonitorandComputer
Power-ONthemonitorfirst,thenpower-ON thecomputer.
Thissequenceisveryimportant.
5. Ifthemonitorstill doesnotfunctionproperly,pleaserefertothetrouble-
shootingsectiontodiagnosetheproblem.
