is critical to your safety.

X1 is only for
people 16years of age and older.
Always wear protective gear including knee, elb o w , and wri s t
guards and an approved safety helmet when riding X1 .
Only use X1 on paved surfaces or on gentle slopes.
Do not use on dirt, sand, deep slopes, or slippery surfaces.
Use caution when going downhill.

I. SAFETY W ARNINGS
A. General
Disclaimer
Riding ACTON X1 can be a dangerous activity. Certain conditions may cause the equipment to
fail without the fault of the manufacturer. Like other electric transportation products, ACTON X1
is intended to move and accordingly,it is possible for the rider
to lose control, fall, collide with other objects,and/or get into dangerous situations that no
amount of care, instruction or expertise can completely eliminate. If such things occur you
can be seriously injured or die, even when using safety equipment and using other
precautions.
RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND USE COMMON SENSE.
This manual contains many warnings and caution concerning the consequences of failing to
maintain, inspect or properly use your ACTON X1 . Because any incident can result in serious injury
or even death, we repeat the warning of possible serious injury or death.
WEAR HELMET AND PROTECTIVE GEAR AT ALL TIMES.

ACTON
X1 is designed for adults and for older teens. The recommended rider age is
16years of age and older. Keep ACTON X1 away from small children and young teens.
DO NOT EXCEED THE WEIGHT LIMIT OF 220 LBS.

Conditions for safe riding
Always check and obey all local laws and regulations which may affect the locations where ACTON
X1 may be used. Ride defensively. Watch out for potential obstacles that could catch your wheels,
force you to swerve suddenly, or lose control. Be careful to avoid
pedestrians, inline skaters, motor vehicles, other skateboarders, scooters, bikes, children or animals
that may enter your path.
Always wear proper protective equipment such as an approved safety helmet (with chin strap
securely buckled), wrist guards, elbow pads, and kneepads. A helmet may be legally required by
local laws or regulations in your area. A long-sleeved shirt and long pants are recommended.
Before riding, be sure to check that all wheels, trucks and the battery case are secured properly.
W ARNING: A V OID W A TER
ACTON X1 is not water-proof. Do not ride in the rain, wet or icy weather, as the electrical and
drive components could be damaged. Always ride on dry paved surfaces. Do not use near
swimming pools, holes, or an other uneven terrain.
The side LEDs on X1 are only
decorative, not illuminating lights. Do not
ride X1 Lite at night, or when visibility is limited.

B a tt ery Handling & Disposal
Your ACTON
X1 may not have a fully charged battery when first received. Accordingly, you
should charge the battery prior to your first use. The battery is best used under optimal conditions:
temperature 50-75F (10-24C),absolute humidity 45-85%.

Run time: Up to 45 min
Recharge time: 1 hour
Make sure the power switch is turned off whenever the ACTON X1 s not in use or it will
drain the battery. When the battery is drained, it is VERY susceptible to damage. When the
ACTON X1 is not in regular use, recharge the battery at least once a month until normal
use is resumed.
Use only the
recommended charger and use caution when charging. The charger should
be regularly examined for possible damage to the cord, plug, enclosure or other parts. The
charger should be operated only by an adult. Do not operate the charger near flammable
materials. Unplug the charger and disconnectfrom ACTON X1 when not in use and
charging is complete.
E. Radio In t er f e r en c e P r ecautions
ACTON X1 in
corporates a sophisticated communication system to ensure the connection
between the remote controller and the skateboard. The connection could be unstable or
lost when the remote controller’s battery is low. Stop riding when the remote’s low battery
warning appears.
Try to
avoid areas with high-power electromagnetic radiating equipment, such as radio
towers, powerlines or radar. In some rare cases, the connection may also be lost due to
unpredictable causes. As a safety precaution, ACTON X1 will shut off immediately when
the connection is lost. If a loss of connection happens more than once, stop use
immediately and avoid using ACTON X1 again in such areas.

III. USING ACTON X1
A.
Riding & Beginner T ips
The
following is a quick start guide for experienced s k a t eboa r ders.
The r emo t e is provided to control the acceleration and speed.
There are three modes for ACTON X1: BEGINNER, NORMAL and PRO. You may change
the modes from the App. Please download the app “ACTON” on your phone. Currently, we
only offer the app for Android 4.3+ and iOS iPhone 5+. For your safety, please set to
BEGINNER or NORMAL mode on the app home page to start with. Only set to NORMAL
mode when you are a comfortable rider. Only set to PRO mode when you are very familiar
with the ACTON X1 and have mastered both beginner and normal modes.

ALWAYS CHARGE THE BATTERY AFTER IT DRAINS.
The

long, it may not be able to be r echa r ged.

Clean the surface of X1 with a damp, but not overly wet, soft cloth only. Store X1 in
an indoor and cool environment. Recharge the battery at least once per month and
avoid contacting volatile liquids including Alcohol or strong cleaning agents.
V. TROUBLESHO O TING
If your X1 is not running p r operl y , stop using it immedi a t el y . In mo s t cases, turning the
s k a t eboa r d for 10 seconds and restarting it will solve the issue. If you find other
problems or restarting the X1 doesn’t resolve the issue, refer to the following chart for
common t r oubleshooting methods. If the problem still exists, please stop using the X1
and contact A C TON.
If your ACTON X1 is not running properly, stop using it immediately. In most cases,
turning the skateboard off for 10 seconds and restarting it will solve the issue. If you
find other problems or restarting the ACTON X1 doesn’t resolve the issue, refer to the
following chart for common troubleshooting methods. If the problem still exists, please
stop using the ACTON X1 and contact ACTON.
