FLUSH MOUNT
No. 737-10 or 737-20:
a) Select desired location in
which to install speaker.
b) Be certain there are no buiit-
in obstructions and that there is
adequate depth for speaker.
c) Use template as a guide in
cutting out speaker opening.
d) if screws are to be used for
mounting grille, set front of
grille face down on flat surface
and punch out (4) starter holes
where required. Use large nail
or other punch type device.
e) if adhesive is used for mount-
ing, be certain the adhesive is of
the type that does not damage
plastic.
1) Connect wires to terminals
and mount per illustration at
right and WIRING section on
page 3.

a) Select desired location on
which to surface mount the
speaker,
b) No cutout is required. Use
surface mount point@to locate
and drill the four mounting hoies
for the surface mount brackets;
use a 3/32” drill. Partially mount
screws into holes.
c) Attach brackets to surface
using the slotted feet. Brackets
should be positioned for the
desired speaker tiit...up or
down. Tighten screws.
d) Connect wire to speaker ter-
minals and mount speaker and
grille to brackets per illustration
at right and WIRING section on
page 3.

Follow the same flush mount procedure for these round models as is given on Page 1 for the No. 737
Series
(rectangular) models, except, in Step c), cut out an 8-7/B” diameter
round

The speakers may be used in conjunction with drivers such as the Ademco Nos. 703 and 714 Siren Driver
Modules. The speaker connection configurations shown in the installation instructions that accompany the
Nos. 703 and 714 can be used as well with the speakers described herein.
CAUTION:
At voltages greater than 6V, a resistor may have to be connected in series with the speaker to limit the
power consumed by the speaker to its rated value. The following table, for example, indicates the minimum size
resistor required in conjunction with a No. 714 Siren Driver Module operating on 12V or 18V.

Indicated resistor (or one of greater wattage) must be connected in series with one speaker lead to limit speaker
power consumption to rated maximum value. One with greater resistance may be used if a quieter speaker is
acceptable. Use a wirewound power resistor obtainable locally in any electronic parts store. Note: Series
resistors are not required if the indicated voltage is applied across two speakers in series.
