REQUIREMENTS
Whether it is hard-to-reach barcodes or frequent moving in the workplace, the
NuScan 4000 is a barcode scanner designed to simplify your job and be more
productive. Equipped with a Class II Bluetooth that provides a reliable 30m wireless
data transfer range and a lightweight structure that is perfect for warehouses, repair
shops, factories and other work settings, the scanner’s laser diode scans at a rate
of 100 scans per second with precision and ease. The NuScan 4000 comes with
a patented cradle that helps extend battery life, giving you enough power to do
25, 000 scans before another recharge is necessary.

LIMITED WARRANTY
ADESSO provides one year limited warranty for the quality of all its products in materials
and workmanship.
During this period, ADESSO will repair or replace all merchandise, which proved to be
defective. However, ADESSO will not warranty any product which has been subjected to
improper freight Handling, shipping abuse, neglect or unauthorized repair or installation.
The warranty also will not cover products installed with Non-ADESSO components and
product with broken sealed and assembly trace. After replacement of RMA, ADESSO
reserves the right to request the total cost of the replacement products with broken seals
or assembly trace.
If you discover a defect, Adesso will, at its option, repair or replace the product at no
charge to you, provided you return it during the warranty period with transportation
charges pre-paid to Adesso. You must contact Adesso at [email protected] for a
Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA) prior to returning any product. For
each product returned for warranty service, please include your name, shipping address
(no P.O. Box), telephone number, copy of the bill of sale as proof of purchase and have
the package clearly marked with your RMA number.

BluetoothWireless Barcode Scanner
Model:NuScan 4000
Turn on your computer and let your operating system load com-
pletely. Plug in the USB cable to the USB port. Your operating
system will detect the device automatically. This device is plug and
play, no driver is required.

Press down the power switch located on the bottom of scanne.
Then, place it onto the cradle to charge it for 7~8 hours at the first
time use.

Offline/ Cradle is not connected to PC
When the power of battery is too low, the Orange LED will flash with
1-beep tone, please charge it immediately before the scanner man-
datorily shuts down. When the scanner shuts down, please place it
onto the cradle to fully charge and then restart it.

Cradle
After powering ON scanner, the ORANGE LED will flash with
2-beep tones, and the RED LED will be OFF if the scanner and
cradle are able to link within the wireless signal range.
4. Scan the barcode labeled on the bottom of cradle sequentially if the
RED LED is steady on.

Scan “Start of Configuration” to initiate setting.
Scan “RESET” to reset all parameters back to
default vales.
Data Transmission Mode
Within 2.4GHz Radio Range
Scanner will transmit data to PC/ terminal directly after triggering scanner.

Beyond 2.4GHz Radio Range
Scanner will save scanning data into the internal memory of scanner if it’s out of
wireless signal. The saved data will be automatically transmitted to PC/ terminal
while scanner is within wireless range.
