PREVENT THE ELECTRONICS MODULE FROM
BEING OPENED
It is critical that the Electronics Module not be opened. This
procedure prevents the Electronics Module housing from being
opened.
Included with the 1187777G1 packaging is a plastic bag
(P/N 3356046) that contains the following hardware required to
secure the Electronics Module:
•6-32, 1.25 inch (0.47, 3.17 cm) screw (1 ea)
•6-32, 1.5 inch (0.47, 3.81 cm) screw (1 ea)
•6-32 (0.47 cm) hex nuts (2 ea)
Refer to the following illustration and complete the following
steps:
1. Insert the 1.25 inch screw through the hole in the upper right
hand corner and secure with a hex nut. Do not over tighten.
2. Insert the 1.5 inch screw through the hole in the lower left
hand corner and secure with a hex nut. Do not over tighten.
INSTALL THE ELECTRONIC MODULE IN THE
ONT MOUNTING BRACKET
To attach the Electronics Module to the ONT Mounting Bracket,
use the illustrations in the next column and complete the
following steps:
1. Remove the two Mounting Posts from the plastic bag
(P/N 3356046) that accompanied the unit.
2. Install these posts in the post holes in the ONT Mounting
Bracket.

TELEPHONE TROUBLESHOOTING
1. Identify the bad line.
2. Disconnect the plug from the appropriate POTSjack and plug
any working telephone into that jack.
If the telephone works,there is a problem inside the house.
If the telephone does not work,contact your service provider.
3. Removethe telephone and replace the plug into the POTS jack.
4. Close the unit.

3. Match the mounting holes on the Electronics Module with
the connection points on the Mounting Posts and snap
together. The Electronics Module should swing freely.
4. Connect a Ground Wire to the Ground Terminal.
This equipment must be connected to a known, reliable earth
ground at all times during installation and service. Refer to the
National Electrical Code (NEC) and state/local codes for details
on grounding requirements. A 12 AWG copper ground conductor
shall be used to connect the equipment to earth ground.
Use the Telco Security Screw on the front of the Electronics
Module to secure the Electronics Module to the ONT Mounting
Bracket until such time as wiring to the Electronics Module is
performed.
