WHAT IS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY
Advanced Air hereby warrants to the consumer that the product purchased under this warranty be free from defects in material
and workmanship under normal use when installed, operated and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instrucons.
In the event of a product defect, failure or malfuncon, Advanced Air will, for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase, repair or replace at its discreon the
defecve, failed or malfunconing product purchased under this Warranty. Installaon and/or removal labor costs or charges are not covered under this warranty.
INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS
This warranty is expressly condioned upon proper installaon, operaon, cleaning and maintenance, all in accordance with this Installaon and Operaon Manual. Failure to
meet any of these requirements will void this warranty. Servicing of your Advanced Air BiPolar Ionizaon product by pares other than our authorized representaves and/or
using parts other than genuine Advanced Air parts will also void this warranty.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY
Ordinary wear and tear shall not be considered a defect in workmanship or material. These warranes do not apply for loss or damage caused by accident, shipping, re,
abuse, misuse, improper installaon, leaking, modicaon, misapplicaon, or by any repairs other than those provided by our authorized Service Center. This warranty is
non-transferable.
EXCLUSION OF OTHER WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARE HEREBY
EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
WE SHALL NOT IN ANY CASE BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM BREACH OF EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES,
CONDITIONS, GUARANTEES OR REPRESENTATIONS, BREACH OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, INSTALLATION OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. Such excluded damages include, but
are not limited to, loss of prots or revenue, and loss of the use of the products, and any loss caused by leaks or other water damage.

Exclusion of Subsequent Owners: Except as otherwise required by applicable legislaon, this warranty is not transferable. This warranty gives you specic legal rights and you
may also have other rights which vary from province to province. Some provinces and territories do not allow limitaons on warranes, or on remedies for breach. In such
provinces or territories, the above limitaons may not apply to you. If any provision of this warranty or part thereof is held by a court of competent jurisdicon to be invalid,
illegal, or unenforceable, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions or parts thereof will not in any way be aected or impaired within the jurisdicon
of that court. This enre warranty shall connue to be valid, legal and enforceable in any jurisdicon where a similar determinaon has not been made.

3 YEAR WARRANTY
MAINTENANCE
Advanced Air BiPolar Ionizaon Systems are designed for connuous operaon without requiring replacement parts. It is recommended that the device is mounted
downstream from the lter to ensure the carbon bre brushes remain as clean as possible.
Cleaning Interval: Advanced Air BiPolar Ionizers are designed for low maintenance. The devices should be checked semi-annually to conrm the brushes are clean for
maximum performance. If the carbon bre brushes get dirty, please follow the instrucons below for proper cleaning and maintenance.
1. Disconnect the power to the BiPolar unit.
2. Remove any dust from the brushes with either compressed air or gently brushing the emier brushes with a small so bristle brush.

• Improper installaon or products installed in a manner which does not follow the installaon instrucons contained in this manual.
• Any installaon not performed by a licenced Mechanical, HVAC or Electrical contractor.
• Use of replacement parts not manufactured or supplied by Advanced Air.
CAUTION
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Disconnect power at breaker or fuse panel before installing this device or performing any service/replacement of parts. Also, disconnect
power to the unit before performing any service, maintenance or parts replacement.
*Always follow OHSA electrical lockout safety requirements to prevent accidental exposure to electrical energy during installaon or service/repair.
WARNING
• Keep all wires away from the carbon bre brushes, allowing at least one inch (2”) of spacing between the carbon bre brushes and anything metal or grounded.
• Never touch the ion needles or carbon brushes while operang.
• Only install this product in a dry locaon away from water or moisture. Only install this product indoors on a metal surface in an HVAC handler or duct, and away from
extreme heat or cold.
MECHANICAL INSTALLATION
WARNING: Do not connect to power before installaon is complete.
1. Mount the BiPolar Ionizaon unit downstream of the lter and before
the cooling/heang coil. For best results avoid locaons directly
downstream of the cooling/heang coil or humidier.
2. Mount the BiPolar unit at or near the fan inlet on a metal surface in the
air handler or internal wall duct ensuring the airstream ows over the
two brushes simultaneously. See Figure 1
3. Aach using the magnet provided to a metal surface. If mounng the
unit on the fan housing, ensure the unit is secured well from fan vibraon.
If mounng using screws, (not included) in applicaons where there is high
velocity air streams or excessive vibraon, use self tapping short length
screws, so they do not impair fan operaon or cause damage to equipment.
4. The ps of the carbon brushes should be at least 2” away from any
metallic or grounded object.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
WARNING: Do not connect to power before installaon is complete. Always
disconnect power from the unit before handling the ionizer.
1. All eld wiring to be done in accordance with NEC and Authories Having
Jurisdicon (AHJ).
2. Connect power to the BiPolar Ionizer using appropriate voltage of 24V AC.
See Figure 2.
3. Wires: RED: Posive / Hot ; BLACK: Negave
4. For best results, interlock the BiPolar Ionizer with fan power.
5. Keep power wires away from ps of the units brushes.
6. Apply power to unit. Green light indicates the ionizer is funconing properly. IN LINE

OPERATION
1. When power is supplied to the ionizer, the green power/operaon light will illuminate indicang the ionizer is acve and working.
2. The BiPolar ionizer is self balancing and does not require any adjustments.
