OVERVIEW
1.1
Product
Overview
The
Q7606AIB
is a lightwavemodulationtest set, used together with a digital samplingoscilloscope,to
sep
arately measure and evaluate the chq
(frequency-modulated/FM)
and intensity-modulated
(IM)
compo-
nents of incidentlaser light.
The
Q7606AB
containstwo sets of fiber-type Mach-Zehnder interferometersand their control circuits.
The
Q7606AIB
can selectivelyoutput the sumof ordifferencebetweenthe frequency-modulatediFMand
IM
componentsof the modulated incidentlight by switchingthemeasurementmode. The sum(IM+FM)and dif-
ference (IM-FM) data
are
processed by the digital sampling oscilloscopeand the personal computerto
sep
aratethe chirpFM and
IM
componentsfrom each other, thus makingitpossibleto evaluatethe time-domain
characteristics.
Features:
(1)
The
Q7606A/B
makes it possible
to
separate the frequency-modulated/FMand IM components
from
each
other easily.
(2)
The
Q7606AIB
isequipped with two sets of built-inand fiber-type Mach-Zehnderinterferometer.
(3)
The
Q7606m
is optimal for evaluatingthe chirp characteristicsof
an
optical modulator (such
as
an
LN
or
EA
modulator).
(4)
The
Q7606A/B
is alsoavailableasa lightwavefrequency discriminatorforthe lightwavefrequency
domain.
