Adya Water Filtration System
Assembly & Maintenence Guide
Congratulations & Thank You!
You have purchased a highly effective and practical water filtration
system!
The Adya 5-Stage Water Filtration System is a gravity-fed, free-standing
device that does not require electricity and is BPA-free. When combined
with Adya Clarity, this system has been proven to remove or reduce
more than 250 harmful drinking water contaminants*.
With the Adya 5-Stage Water Filtration System, you can make fresh,
great-tasting drinking water in your own home while also eliminating
plastic bottles and landfill waste!
*All testing was completed by an independent, EPA-certified laboratory. The concentration of
indicated substances in water entering the system was reduced to a concentration less than
or equal to the permissible limit for water leaving the system as specified in NSF/ANSI 42.
Maintenance & Care Guidelines
• Unless you are adding Adya Clarity, do not use water that is
microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality when using the
filtration system.
• Never use soap on any filters or parts (unless specified in instructions).
• Extended exposure to direct sunlight may result in algae growth. If
this occurs, wipe and rinse with cold water. (Discoloration on the
Micro Ceramic Filter will not affect the system’s performance.)
• Do not over-tighten the Nut when inserting the Micro Ceramic Filter.
• Do not overfill the Top or Bottom Tanks.
Filter Maintenance & Replacement
• Micro Ceramic Filter
— After several uses, a slimy residue will build up on the filter. When
this occurs, gently scrub and rinse the filter on all sides.
— Replace each year (or 1,000 gallons) for best performance.
TIP! Help extend the life of your filter by using water that has been
pre-treated with Adya Clarity when filling the Top Tank.
• 4-Layer Earth Filter
— Replace every 6 months (or 500 gallons) for best performance.
— Do not allow filter to dry out.
Troubleshooting
• If the spout leaks, check to see that the Spigot and Spigot Nut aren’t
over-tightened and the Silicon Rings are correctly aligned on each side
of the Spigot.
• If the filtration system is filtering slower than usual, check to see if
it’s time to clean the Micro Ceramic Filter (see guidelines above) or if
more water is needed in the Top Tank; because the system is gravity-
fed, the more water in the Top Tank, the faster it will filter.

Let’s Get Started
Carefully unwrap all components. Check for any missing or damaged
parts. If a part is damaged or missing, notify your retailer immediately
to ensure prompt replacement.
TIP! Save the box! It’s great to reuse when traveling with your filtration
system.
Filtration System Assembly
1. Soak #7 4-Layer Earth Filter and #2 Micro Ceramic Filter in cold water
for a minimum of 15 minutes.
2. While soaking filters, hand-wash remaining parts with mild soap and
rinse thoroughly. NOTE: Filtration components are not dishwasher
safe.
3. Flush #7 4-Layer Earth Filter by holding upright under cold running
water for approx. 15 seconds and allow excess water to drain off.
4. Attach #3 O-Ring onto #2 Micro Ceramic Filter.
5. Insert #2 Micro Ceramic Filter into #4 Top Tank and fasten with #5
Nut. Do not over-tighten.
6. Twist #7 4-Layer Earth Filter counter-clockwise into #6 Plastic Plate.
7. To assemble #10 Spigot, attach #11 Silicon Ring onto #10 Spigot;
insert #10 Spigot into opening of #9 Bottom Tank; attach #12 Silicon
Ring onto #10 Spigot. Screw on #13 Spigot Nut. Do not over-tighten.
8. Stack system sections as they appear on Component Diagram.
9. Test #9 Bottom Tank for leaks. Fill Bottom Tank with water until it
covers the #10 Spigot. If a leak occurs, you may need to retighten or
realign the #11/#12 Silicon Rings.
Filling Filtration System With Water
Once you have washed and assembled your filtration system you may
begin filling it with water. Fill with Adya treated water or add the
appropriate amount of Adya Clarity (see directions on bottle) to the Top
Tank while filling.
• Top Tank holds 5 L (1.3 gallons). Bottom Tank holds 10 L (2.6 gallons).
