GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
WARNING
When using electric tools, basic safety precautions should

operate this product and save these instructions.
Keep work area clear. Cluttered areas and benches invite injuries.
Consider work area environment. Do not expose tools to rain. Do
not use tools in damp or wet locations. Keep work area well lit. Do

keep them away from the work area.
Store idle tools. When not in use, tools should be stored in a dry
locked-up place, out of reach of children.
Do not force the tool. It will do the job better and safer at the rate
for which it was intended.
Use the right tool. Do not force small tools to do the job of a heavy
duty tool. Do not use tools for purposes not intended, for example,
do not use circular saws to cut tree limbs or logs.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery, they can
be caught in moving parts. Non-skid footwear is recommended
when working outdoors. Wear protective hair covering to contain
long hair.
Use protective equipment. Use safety glasses. Use face or dust
mask if working operations create dust.
Connect dust extraction equipment. If the tool is provided for
the connection of dust extraction and collecting equipment, ensure
these are connected and properly used.
Do not abuse the cord. Never yank the cord to disconnect it from
the socket. Keep the cord away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
Secure work. Where possible, use clamps or a vice to hold the
work. It is safer than using your hand.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
Maintain tools with care. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean for
better and safer performance. Follow instruction for lubricating
and changing accessories. Inspect tool cords periodically and if
damaged, have them repaired by an authorised service facility.
Inspect extension cords periodically and replace if damaged. Keep
handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
Disconnect tools. When not in use, before servicing and when
changing accessories such as blades, bits and cutters, disconnect
tools from the power supply.
Remove adjusting keys and wrenches. Form the habit of

checking to see that keys and adjusting wrenches are removed
from the tool before turning it on.
Avoid unintentional starting. Ensure switch is in “off” position
when installing battery pack.
Stay alert. Watch what you are doing, use common sense and do
not operate the tool when you are tired.
Check damaged parts. Before further use of tool, it should be
carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and
perform its intended function. Check for alignment of moving parts,
binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting and any other
conditions that may affect its operation. A guard or other part that is
damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorised
service centre unless otherwise indicated in this instruction manual.
Have defective switches replaced by an authorised service centre.
Do not use the tool if the switch does not turn it on and off.
Warning. The use of any accessory or attachment other than the
one recommended in this instruction manual may present a risk of

AIR COMPRESSOR USE AND CARE
Do not exceed the pressure rating of any component in the
system.
Protect material lines and air lines from damage or puncture.
Keep hose away from sharp objects, chemical spills, oil, solvents,

Check hoses for weak or worn condition before each use,
making certain all connections are secure. Do not use if defect is
found. Purchase a new hose or notify an authorised service centre
for examination or repair.
Release all pressures within the system slowly. Dust and debris
may be harmful.
Store idle air compressors out of the reach of children and
other untrained persons. Air compressors are dangerous in the
hands of untrained users.
Maintain air compressors with care. Follow maintenance
instructions. Properly maintained products are easier to control.
Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage
of parts, and any other condition that may affect the product’s
operation. If damaged, have the air compressor serviced before
using. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained products.
Keep the exterior of the air compressor dry, clean, and free
from oil and grease. Always use a clean cloth when cleaning.

AIR COMPRESSOR SAFETY WARNINGS
Know your air compressor. Read operator’s manual carefully.

Inspect tanks yearly for rust, pin holes, or other imperfections
that could cause it to become unsafe. Never weld or drill holes
in the air tanks.
Make sure the hose is free of obstructions or snags. Entangled
or snarled hoses can cause loss of balance or footing and may
become damaged.
Use the air compressor only for its intended use. Do not alter
or modify the unit from the original design or function.
Always be aware that misuse and improper handling of this
product can cause injury to yourself and others.
Never leave a tool unattended with the air hose attached.
Never point any air tool toward yourself or others.
Do not operate this air compressor if it does not contain a
legible warning label.
Do not continue to use a tool or hose that leaks air or does not
function properly.
Always disconnect the air supply, turn the unit off, and remove
the battery packs before making adjustments, servicing a product,
or when a product is not in use.
Do not attempt to pull or carry the air compressor by the hose.
Your tool may require more air consumption than this air
compressor is capable of providing.
Always follow all safety rules recommended by the
manufacturer of your air tool, in addition to all safety rules
for the air compressor. Following this rule will reduce the risk of

When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal

small metal objects, that can make a connection from one

Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the

APPLICATIONS
Air compressors are utilized in a variety of air system applications.
Match hoses, connectors, air tools, and accessories to the
capabilities of the air compressor.
You may use this product for the purposes listed below:
ŶOperating light- to medium-duty air-powered tools
ŶOperating air accessories such as air nozzles and automotive
tire inflators
INSTALLING/REMOVING BATTERY PACKS
See Figure 1.
The compressor can run with one or two battery packs.
NOTE: For best performance, install two fully-charged battery
packs before beginning operation. Minimum recommended battery
capacity is 4.0 Ah per battery pack.
ŶMake sure the air compressor is turned off.
ŶInsert each battery pack into the product as shown.
ŶMake sure the latches on each side of the battery pack snap
into place and the battery pack is secured in the product before
beginning operation.
ŶDepress the latches to remove the battery pack.
For complete charging instructions, see the operator’s manuals for
your battery pack and charger.
CONNECTING/DISCONNECTING AIR HOSE (HOSE NOT
PROVIDED)
See Figure 2.

ŶMake sure the air compressor is turned off and the battery
packs are not installed.
ŶRotate pressure regulator knob fully in the counter-clockwise
direction so that the outlet pressure is at zero bar (0 psi).
ŶAttach hose with quick connect air fitting to 1/4 in. quick coupler
on air compressor. Make sure to push the hose adapter end
fully into the coupler until the sleeve springs forward to lock it
in place.
To disconnect an air hose or an air tool:
ŶConfirm that the outlet pressure is at zero bar (0 psi).
ŶWhen disconnecting a hose from 1/4-in. quick coupler, always
firmly hold release end of hose.
ŶPull back on the release sleeve on the 1/4-in. quick coupler.
ŶWith a firm grip, pull out the quick-connect air fitting that is
attached to the quick coupler.
BREAK-IN PERIOD

TURNING THE AIR COMPRESSOR ON/OFF
See Figure 3.
ŶInstall the battery packs.
ŶMove the Auto On/Off switch to the AUTO ON (I) position to
power the compressor on.
ŶTo turn the air compressor off, move the Auto On/Off switch to
the OFF (O) position.
NOTE: When the compressor is in the AUTO ON (I) position, the
air compressor will automatically turn back on when the designated
tank air pressure drops below the preset pressure limit. It will also
shut off again when the cut-off pressure is reached.

Never exceed the air tool’s pressure rating as recommended by

WARNING
Always ensure the switch is in the OFF (O) position and the
regulator pressure gauge reads zero before changing air tools or
disconnecting the hose from the air outlet. Failure to do so could
result in possible serious personal injury.
USING THE AIR COMPRESSOR
See ¿gure .

WARNING
Air powered tools may require more air consumption than this
air compressor is capable of providing. Check the tool manual to
avoid damage to the tool or risk of personal injury.
ŶEnsure that the Auto On/Off switch is in the OFF position and
the battery packs are not installed.
ŶAttach air hose following the instructions in “Connecting/
Disconnecting Air Hose (hose not provided)”.
ŶAttach 1/4 in. quick-connect air fitting to the accessory or tool
you intend to use.
ŶInsert the other end of the quick-connect air fitting to the quick
coupler on the open end of hose.
ŶInstall the battery packs.
ŶMove the Auto On/Off switch to the Auto On position.
ŶSet the amount of air pressure desired using the pressure
regulator knob. Pull the knob out, then turn clockwise to
increase or counterclockwise to decrease the air pressure
through the hose. When the desired pressure is set, push the
knob back in to lock.
NOTE: Always use the minimum amount of pressure necessary
for your application. Using a higher pressure than needed will
drain air from the tank more rapidly, cause the unit to cycle on
more frequently, and reduce battery run time between charges.
ŶFollowing all safety precautions in this manual and the
manufacturer’s instructions in the air tool manual, you may now
proceed to use your air-powered tool.
NOTE: The air compressor will shut off during an electrical
overload. To reset the internal overload switch, turn off the
air compressor and allow the unit to cool. Remove and then
reinstall the battery packs before resuming operation.
ŶWhen finished, always drain the tank, turn the unit off, and
remove the battery packs. Never leave the unit on and/or
running unattended.
DRAINING THE TANK
See ¿gure .
To help prevent tank corrosion and keep moisture out of the air
used, the air tank of the compressor should be drained daily.
To drain:
ŶTurn the air compressor off and remove the battery packs.
ŶPull the ring on the safety valve to release air until tank pressure
gauge reads less than 1.4 bar (20 psi).
ŶRelease the ring.

ŶTilt tank to drain moisture from tank into a suitable container.
NOTE: Condensate is a polluting material and should be
disposed of in compliance with local regulations.
ŶIf a drain valve is clogged, release all air pressure, remove and
clean valve, then reinstall.
WARNING
Turn off the air compressor, remove battery packs, and release
all air from the tank before servicing. Failure to depressurise tank
before attempting to remove valve could cause serious personal
injury.

BATTERIES
Battery packs which have not been used for some time should be
recharged before use.
7HPSHUDWXUHVLQH[FHVVRI&)UHGXFHWKHSHUIRUPDQFH
of the battery pack. Avoid extended exposure to heat or sunshine
(risk of overheating).
The contacts of chargers and battery packs must be kept clean.
For an optimum life-time, the battery packs have to be fully charged,
after used.
To obtain the longest possible battery life remove the battery pack
from the charger once it is fully charged.
For battery pack storage longer than 30 days:

and away from moisture.
Store the battery packs in a 30% - 50% charged condition.
Every six months of storage, charge the pack as normal.
TRANSPORTING LITHIUM BATTERIES
Lithium-ion batteries are subject to the Dangerous Goods
Legislation requirements.
Transportation of those batteries has to be done in accordance with
local, national and international provisions and regulations.
ŶThe user can transport the batteries by road without further
requirements.
ŶCommercial transport of Lithium-Ion batteries by third parties is
subject to Dangerous Goods regulations. Transport preparation
and transport are exclusively to be carried out by appropriately.
trained persons and the process has to be accompanied by
corresponding experts.
When transporting batteries:
ŶEnsure that battery contact terminals are protected and
insulated to prevent short circuit.
ŶEnsure that battery pack is secured against movement within
packaging.
ŶDo not transport batteries that are cracked or leak.
Check with forwarding company for further advice.
BATTERY PACK PROTECTION
The battery pack has overload protection that protects it from being
overloaded and helps to ensure long life. Under extreme stress the
battery electronics switch off the machine automatically. To restart,
switch the machine off and then on again. If the machine does not
start up again, the battery pack may have discharged completely. In
this case it must be recharged in the battery charger.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING
Always release all pressure, remove the battery packs, and allow
unit to cool to the touch before cleaning or making repairs on the
air compressor.

WARNING
Always wear eye protection with side shields. Failure to do so
could result in objects being thrown into your eyes, resulting in
possible serious injury.
WARNING
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any
other parts could create a hazard or cause product damage.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are
susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents
and may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt,
dust, oil, grease, etc.

products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic
parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or destroy plastics which
could result in serious personal injury.
REPLACING THE AIR FILTER
See Figure 7.
ŶGrasp the tabs on the air filter cover and pull away from the
housing.
ŶRemove the air filter.
ŶInstall new air filter.
ŶReplace the air filter cover by pushing it into the housing until
it clicks into place.
STORING THE AIR COMPRESSOR
ŶPlace the Auto On/Off switch in the off position.
ŶRemove battery packs.
ŶDisconnect air hose and air tool from the product.
ŶDrain air tanks according to instructions.
ŶThoroughly clean air compressor and any accessories.
ŶHoses may be stored using the strap on the top of the air
compressor.
Do not modify this product in any way or use accessories not
approved by the manufacturer. Your safety and that of others may
be compromised.
Remove the battery packs before making adjustments or when
doing any maintenance on the machine.
WARNING
For greater safety and reliability, all repairs should be performed
by an authorised AEG service centre.
Use only AEG accessories and spare parts. Should components
need to be replaced which have not been described, please contact
one of our AEG service agents (see our list of guarantee/service
addresses).
If needed, an exploded view of the product can be ordered. Please
