important note!
BB Only dry materials washed in water!
Never dry articles treated with inflarn-
mable liquids and solvents (petrol, alcohol,
stain-removers, etc.) in a tumble dryer.
The dryer may catch fire.
Articles containing foam rubber or similar
materials must not be dried in the tumble
dryer. The dryer may catch fire.
Make sure there are no flammable objects
(cigarette lighters, etc.) left in the clothes
before tumble drying.
Make sure the loading door is closed!
You wili thereby prevent children
from knocking the door and possibly
overturning the tumble dryer.
M The rear wall heats up during drying.
That is perfectly normal, though you
should avoid touching it!
M The space around your tumble dryer must
be kept free of fluff.
@ if you want to dump an old dryer as
refuse, first make the loading door lock
unusable to prevent children at play from
locking themselves in.

Tips on energy-savinq
All tumble dryers require energy for drying.
This tumble dryer, however, is especially
energy-saving and economical to run if you
take note of the following hints:

Thoroughly spin-dry your laundry first!
Your tumble dryer will then be especially
energy-saving to run if your laundry is well
spin-dried before tumble-drying
(i.e. at least at 800 rpm).
Ensure good ventilation!
To ensure economical tumbl -drying,
the room temperature should not exceed
35°C.
Use the optimum wash load!
You will use your tumble dryer most
economically if you use the wash loads
recommended in the programme table on
page 20. The following data will help you
better estimate the laundry weight.

E Clean the fluff filter! (Fig. 1/2)
Each time you have used your tumble
dryer, clean the fluff filter! A choked fluff
filter leads to longer drying times and
higher energy consumption.

Important recommendations on drying
Never dry wool or wool mixtures
(felting risk).
Check that the garments to be dried
are suitable for drying in a tumble dryer.
Appropriate information is given
on the garment care label.
The following symbols are important
for tumble-drying:

You are recommended not to dry
temperature-sensitive laundry (e.g. acry-
tics) and laundry marked
and X on the care label in this machine.
Knitwear tends to shrink. If you buy such
materials, take note of this fact when
choosing sizes.
M You can also tumble-dry starched
laundry.
To retain the required starched effect,
use twice as much starch when starching.
Spin-dry laundry well before tumble-drying
(at least at 800 rpm).
Close zip-fasteners and tie together loose
strings (e.g. of aprons). You will thereby
avoid tangling of your laundry.
Clothes made of double-layered fabrics
(polyamide outer layer, cotton inner layer,
e.g. anoraks) should be turned inside out
before drying. You will achieve a better
tumble-drying effect.
Overdrying causes creasing of easy-care
laundry. Avoid too long a drying time
(see programme table on page 20).

Drying time selector switch
(Fig. 4/8)
The drying time selector switch has three functions:
a) Switching the machine on and off —
operating indicator lights up or goes out.
b) Selection of drying time.
Turn the drying time selector switch clockwise until
the required drying time (in minutes) appears below
the marking point. For drying time guidance values,
, 999 table on page 20.
To achieve accurate drying times, any correction
of the time setting should always be made clockwise
(where necessary, via the 0-position).
c) To set the Laundry Alring programme.
Set drying time selector switch to N (running time
around 10 min).

Removing and putting back laundry

Under “If you think your tumble dryer Is not
working properly ...", we have listed the faults
that you can rectify yourself.
If, however, you decide to call in the after-
sales service to help with any of the stated
Instructions or on grounds of faulty operation,
the service engineer's visit cannot be made
free of charge even during the guarantee
period.
If you find no reference to any particular fault
in these Instructions, please contact the
service centre.
When doing so, quote the E-No. and F-No. of
your dryer. You will find these numbers on the
rating plate (Flg. 1/3).
Please enter these data on the back of these
Instructions.

Your indication of these numbers enables the
after-sales service to make precise identifica-
tion of the required spare part so that your
tumble dryer can be repaired at the engineer's
first visit.
You will thus save yourself additional! costs
due to any possible repeated trips by the
service engineer.
Our electrica! appliances comply with the
valid safety requirements. Repairs to electri-
cal appliances should only be performed by
a trained electrician. Improper repairs
may piace the user at serious risk.
Never clean the panels and controls of your
machine with commercial furniture cleaners
and aggressive agents. If it needs to be
cleaned, use only lukewarm water.

Special accessories
The following special accessories may be
ordered via your retailer or service centre:
B Exhaust air venting outlet
Round or flat spiral hose.
@ Decor frame
If you want to match up your tumble dryer
to your kitchen furniture, you can fit
a decor panel with the decor frame.
Retrofitting decor frames are suitable for
all models. The decor frame is supplied in
“brown” (TRZ 911, E-No. 607 899 911)
as well as in
“white” (TRZ 941, E-No. 607 899 941).
Washer/Dryer Stack
With the aid of a stacking kit, your tumble
dryer can be combined with every
LAVAMAT of the current series into a
washer/dryer stack. Two different kits are
available for this purpose:
Stacking kit with pull-out panel
(E- No. 607 899 966) and without pull-out
panel (E-No. 607 899 969).
To combine your tumble dryer with
a LAVAMAT of an earlier series, you
additionally need the TRZ 910 stacking kit
(E-No. 607 899 910).
@ installing under a worktop
Your tumble dryer is suitable for
installation in kitchen furniture runs.
After removal of the worktop, the machine
must be covered with a cover sheet
(part No. 647 405 423).

Power supply data:
Details of power supply should be taken froni the appliance rating piate. If the appliance
is of re-connectable design, the re-connection diagram in the terminal box on the back of
the appliance should be noted.
When connecting the appliance make absolutely sure that the nominal voltage indicated
on the rating plate agrees with the supply voltage at the place of installation.
