INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing aegis’ EXP-USB-3000. This
USB.2.0 Extender is capable of sending USB signals across
a Cat.5/5e/6 cable up to 50 meters at data rate of High
Speed (480Mb/s), Full Speed (12Mb/s)and Low Speed
(1.5Mb/s) .Setting up the EXP-USB-3000 is quite simple.
Using the RJ-45 Connector, plugging it in the connections
without confusion or difficulty. It takes only minutes to setup,
and there is no configuration necessary, like all USB
hardware. EXP-USB-3000 compliant and it is backward
compatible with USB 1.1/1.0.

INSTALL A TION
1. Connect the Local Unit to the Host System (or PC) via the
supplied USB Cable on Local Unit.
2. Connect the USB 2.0 Extender Local Unit and Remote Unit
together with a Cat.5, Cat 5e or Cat. 6 Cable (supplied by
user).
3. Connect USB peripherals to the Remote Unit.
4. Plug the included 5V/2A DC Power Supply into the USB
2.0 Extender Remote Unit. Operational power for the
Local Unit is provided by the Host System (or PC).
5. Check the LED on USB 2.0 Extender Remote Unit. Make
sure that the LED on Remote Unit illuminates in solid
green light that means the extenders are powered and well
communicated.
