Introduction
The ARC Maxi controller provides full functional control for up to 12 ARC cameras.
Designed to offer the operator an ergonomic layout with easy access to all the key
engineering functionally required.
The desk has a single RJ45 connector to provide an interface to the POE switch,
providing by power for the desk as well as the data connection to the cameras. We
recommend that you also use the 12V power supply provided.
The controller has a number of dedicated controls as well as additional
configuration options and setting accessed via the OLED display and menu button.
The menu is set out with a simple A-Z menu offering operators easy navigation.
Set up and configuration
The web interface can be access through any internet browser. The standard IP
address of the controller is 192.168.100.235. The web interface is shown below.
The web interface provides access to the IP address of the controller and the IP
addresses associated with the cameras to be controlled.
Please Note: When changing addresses on the desk, the system needs to be power
cycled to allow any new MAC addresses to be registered.

Joystick and Head Control
Individual cameras are selected using the buttons 1-12.
The two-axis joystick provides control for the pan and tilt axis.
Configuration of the joystick can be accessed via the menu.
Lens Control
Focus and zoom are operated via zoom rocker and focus wheel.
Configuration of the zoom rocker can be accessed via the menu.
Focus
Auto and manual focus can be accessed via the menu or the dedicated button on
the controller.
White Balance and Exposure Control
Control of these functions is accessed via the menu. Manual white balance will
allow for full control of the RGain and BGain functions.
Please note, when powering up the ARC Maxi Controller, the WB, Focus and
exposure mode need to be adjusted to ensure that they are in sync with the
camera.
Video Format
Video format can be changed through menu R. Using the rotary encoder, select the
required video format and press the execute button. Once the command has been
sent, the camera must be power cycled for the change to take effect.

Presets
Storing and deleting presets is managed through menu’s V and W. To store a preset
position, drive the camera to the desired position and adjust the zoom and focus.
With Preset Store selected, press the allocated numbered button, the button will
illuminate to confirm the position has been stored. To recall any pre-set positions,
the menu must be moved away from the Preset Store option. To delete previous
positions, select Preset Delete on the menu and simply press the preset button and
the illuminated button will turn out.
Update Camera
There is no bidirectional communication between the camera and the desk,
therefore when a camera is first turned on, there can be a difference between the
values shown on the menu display and the values within the camera. Selecting the
update camera menu allows you to set the camera values to the camera to ensure
all control inputs are relative.
Roll Offset
The ARC360 cameras offers a driven third axis or driven horizon. This third axis is
controlled through menu X. There are 7 degrees of +/- rotation. If needed, pressing
EXECUTE will reset the zero value.
Setting Store
This allows you to configure the camera to a specific set of values which will
retained on power up. Profiles that can be stored include RGain, BGain, Focus
Auto/Manual, WB, Exposure Mode, and orientation of pan, tilt and zoom control.
