Manual for the Installer and End-user
Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing the AGRIBOX pro. This manual contains all the information necessary to
allow you to quickly familiarise yourself with the product. Please read this information carefully before using
the product for the rst time.
This manual is intended for both the installer and the end-user of the AGRIBOX pro. The table of contents
allows you to nd the information you need in the manual. We recommend that you perform the steps in the
order described in this manual.

Introduction
Product description
Intended use
The AGRIBOX pro is a light management system intended for automatic control of lighting luminaires. Any
other form of use than that described above does not constitute an intended use. Agrilight B.V. cannot be
held responsible for any injury or damage caused by the system being used incorrectly, unwisely or contrary
to the intended use.
Agrilight B.V. gives the CE mark only to the AGRIBOX pro. The installer of the AGRIBOX pro is personally
responsible for the electrical installation in accordance with the provisions of the law. Note that if the
AGRIBOX pro becomes part of a larger system, this system as a whole must be quali ed for the CE mark.
Safety must be assured at all times so that the installer, the end-user and third parties can use the AGRIBOX
pro safely.
Registration
The type and serial number plate is attached to the AGRIBOX pro ( g. 1). Always include the type numbers
of your luminaire when you contact your local Lely service provider or order spare parts. This information can
be found on the production sticker.

1 Precautions and Safety Instructions
Danger! Keep the product away from water. If the electronic components
come into contact with water, this can lead to an electric shock or even
electrocution.
• Special know-how is necessary for assembly and installation so that
only correspondingly qualied personnel should be entrusted to carry
out this work.
Assembly and installation must be performed in accordance with the
local laws and regulations.
• Do not use the product if the product or cable is damaged.
• Disconnect the product from the power supply before starting
installation or maintenance.
• Do not replace parts yourself. Consult a recognised maintenance tter.
• The AGRIBOX pro contains electronic components that are sensitive
to interference. Install the product out of the range of objects that can
cause electrical interference, or if possible remove the objects that can
cause electrical interference.
• Cordon off the working area for unauthorised persons during the
installation.
• Wear the proper protective clothing during installation, such as working
gloves, work shoes, helmet and protective overalls.
2 Symbols
In this user and installation manual, the following marking conventions have been used to draw
attention to certain subjects or actions.
Danger! The life of the user is directly threatened.
Warning! The user can (seriously) injure himself or cause serious
damage to the product. A warning indicates the injury to the user or the
damage to the product if the user does not follow the procedures
carefully.
Note! A note contains supplementary information for the user. A note
draws the user's attention to possible problems.
3 Warranty
Agrilight B.V. offers a warranty on production and material faults for a period of two (2) years from the original
date of purchase of the product, on condition that the product is used only for its intended purpose. Any
damage caused by abnormal use, improper handling, cleaning or negligence is not covered by this warranty.
Agrilight B.V. gives no warranty on assembly and installation.

4.2 Environmentalinuences
The AGRIBOX pro may only be used indoors in livestock pens, agricultural buildings and sheds. The product
must not be used in wet environments or outd oors. Use in other environments can inuence the
performance of the product or may damage the product.

6 Installation and Setup
• Special know-how is necessary for assembly and installation so that only
correspondingly qualied personnel should be entrusted to carry out this
work.
Assembly and installation must be performed in accordance with the
local laws and regulations.
• The AGRIBOX pro contains electronic components that are sensitive to
interference. Install the product out of the range of objects that can cause
electrical interference, or if possible remove the objects that can cause
electrical interference.
• Disconnect the product from the power supply before starting installation.

6.1 Drawupalightingplan
Before you start to install the AGRIBOX pro, you should rst consider carefully how you want to work in the
building. Questions that you should ask yourself:
• Into how many groups do I want to divide the building?
• For how many hours are the luminaires to be switched on per group?
• For which groups do I want the light power to be adapted to the daylight?
Lay down your wishes in a lighting plan. Has the lighting plan been nalised and adopted? Thenyou are
ready to install AGRIBOX pro.
6.2 Preparation for use: Installation and electrical connection
In order to prepare AGRIBOX pro for use, it must rst be installed and the electrical connections made.
Only connect the luminaires with the AGRIBOX pro Switch. TheAGRIBOX pro Switch can disconnect the
installation from the mains power supply, e.g. for maintenance work.
Do you want to control more luminaires than the maximum number indicated in the specications? Every
time you exceed the maximum number, add an AGRIBOX pro Slave to an AGRIBOX pro Switch. If these
products did not form part of your delivery, you can order them separately.
If you use a light sensor, this should preferably be installed on the north side of the building. Set
the light sensor dip switches in the 20 kLux position before calibration:
Dipswitch 3 ON, Dipswitches 1,2 and 4 OFF.

6.3 InstallingtheAGRIBOXpro
6.3.1 Installing the glands
1. Separate the glands by unscrewing the lower
part.
2. Place the upper side of the glands, including
washers (gure right) in the right positions on
the outside of the AGRIBOX pro.
3. Screw on the lower part of the glands on the
inside of the AGRIBOX pro.
4. Press a sealing plug (gure right) into the
glands that are not used.
6.3.2 InstallingtheAGRIBOXprowithoutbrackets
1. Unscrew the plastic screws (4x) in anti-
clockwise direction using a screwdriver.
2. Remove the cover.

3. Remove the plastic seals from the mounting
holes.
4. Hold the product against the wall in the desired position and mark the mounting holes.
5. Drill holes in the wall and insert plugs (the plugs are not supplied with the product).
6. Fasten the product to the wall using screws (the screws are not supplied with the product).
7. Place the plastic seals back in the mounting
holes.
8. Fit the cover again.
Deliveries from January 2019 will
contain a hinge for the cover.
9. Tighten the plastic screws again in clockwise direction using a screwdriver.
6.3.3 InstallingtheAGRIBOXprowithbrackets
1. Place the brackets onto the rear side of the
AGRIBOX pro.

2. Fasten the brackets to the AGRIBOX pro
using the screws supplied.
Tighten the screws in clockwise direction
using a screwdriver.
3. Mark the desired positions for the brackets.
4. Drill holes and insert the plugs supplied.
5. Attach the brackets in the desired position using the screws supplied.
Tighten the screws in clockwise direction using a screwdriver.
6.4 Installing the light sensor (IP65)
1. Unscrew the screws in anti-clockwise direction
using a screwdriver.
2. Remove the cover.
If you are above equator, the light sensor must be installed outside the barn on the north side.
If you are below equator, the light sensor must be installed outside the barn on the south side.
Install the sensor so that it has an unobstructed view, it is protected from direct
sunlight and it is not near another light source.
3. Hold the product in the desired position and mark the two mounting holes.
4. Drill holes in the wall and insert plugs (the plugs are not supplied with the product).
5. Fasten the product to the wall using screws (the screws are not supplied with the product).
6. Loosen the glands in anti-clockwise direction.

7. Pull a 3-core screened cable through the
gland and connect it to the terminal:
1 UB +
2 Ausg.
3 GND
8. Set the dip switches to the 20 kLux position:
- Dipswitch 1 OFF
- Dipswitch 2 OFF
- Dipswitch 3 ON
- Dipswitch 4 OFF
Default setting is 20 kLux. See
paragraph 6.6.10.1 for more information.
9. Tighten the glands on the master again in clockwise direction.
10. Fit the cover again.
11. Insert the screws into the product again and
tighten in clockwise direction using a
screwdriver.

6.5 ElectricalconnectionoftheAGRIBOXpro
The following parts have to be connected electrically in the AGRIBOX pro:
- Power supply
- Light sensor
- Control light
- Screen (optional)
- DALI (optional)
- Slave (optional, see section 4.5)
Proceed as follows:
1. Unscrew the plastic screws (4x) in anti-
clockwise direction using a screwdriver.
Deliveries from January 2019
will contain a hinge. In this case, unscrew
2 screws.
2. Remove the cover.
3. Loosen one empty gland per connection in
anti-clockwise direction.

4. Pull the correct cable through the gland and connect it to the correct terminal:
1: Screen connection
Uppermost terminal (connector J5)
• + = oating contact
• - = oating contact
1.1: Push button (overrule “v” for main lights)
• Bottom connector
• Connection on the right side between IN2 and -
2: Light sensor 0-10V in connection
• 24V = UB+
• + = Ausg.
• - = GND
• SH = Shield
3: Slave/DSX connection
• See section 4.5.
4: Control light connection
• NO = Normally open contact
• COM = common
5: 0-10V OFF connection (suitable for luminaires with 0-10V control)
• + = 0-10V
• - = 0V
6: DALI connection
• DA = DALI connection
• DA = DALI connection
7: Power supply
• N = Neutral
• L = Phase
• = Earth
5. Tighten the glands again in clockwise direction.
6. If applicable: Press the sealing plugs supplied into the gland holes that have not been used
and tighten them in clockwise direction.
7. Fit the cover again.
Deliveries from January 2019
will contain a hinge. In this case, 2 screws
must be connected.
8. Tighten the plastic screws again in clockwise direction using a screwdriver.

6.6 SettinguptheAGRIBOXpro
The rst time the AGRIBOX pro is switched on, the default language is English.
6.6.1 Set the language
1. Press the gear wheel in the top right-hand
corner of the Start screen.
The overview screen is displayed.
2. Press ‘SETTINGS’.
3. Press ‘Language’.

4. Press ‘English’.
5. Select the desired language by pressing the
‘<’ or ‘>’ button.
Press ‘Select’ to conrm.
6. Press ‘Close’ twice to return to the Start screen.

6.6.2 Set date and time
1. Press the gear wheel in the top right-hand
corner of the Start screen.
The overview screen is displayed.
2. Press ‘SETTINGS’.
3. Press ‘Date & time’ if this screen is not yet
displayed.
Press on the time behind ‘Set time’.
4. Enter the desired time and press the green
button to conrm.
