Themachineisequippedwithreadily
identiableemergencystopbuttons,located
atboththeupperandlowercontrolpanels.
Itstopsallofthemovementsofthemachine
whenthisbuttonispressed.
Thisisanemergencyloweringdevicefor
whentheplatformhasbeenraised,and
cannotbeloweredbecauseofproblemswith
thepowersource.
Theemergencyloweringhandle(g.3–1,A)is
locatedatthefrontofthemachine.
Thehandleisconnected,byacable,tothe
holdingvalveontheliftcylinder.
Pullingthehandleopensthevalvespool,
loweringtheplatform.

Whentheplatformhasbeenraised,the
potholeprotectorscomedownautomatically.
Itprovidespotholeprotectionfortraveling
raisedplatform.
Ifthepotholeprotectorsareunabletolockin
positionbecauseanobjectiscaughtunderit,
themachinewillnottravelandtheplatform
willnotberaised.
Thereareguardrailsonallsidesoftheplatform
topreventpersonsintheplatformfromfalling
otheplatform.
Theentrygateispartoftheguardrailsystem
andmustbesecurelyfastenedafterentering
theplatform.
Thesafetypropisasupportpolethatprevents
thescissorsarmfromloweringwhenitis
necessarytodomaintenanceworkunderthe
scissorsarmorplatform.

How to Use the Safety Prop
(1) Removeallmaterialsfromtheplatform.
(2) Raisetheplatformabout2.5m(SV06CNL)
/3m(SV08CNL)fromtheground.
(3) Rotatethesafetypropandhangitdown
below.

(4) Lowertheplatformcarefullyuntilthe
safetyproprestssafetyonthescissors
arm.
(5) Stowthesafetypropinitsstowage
positionwhenitisnotused.

Thebatterydisconnectswitch
cutothebatteryelectrically.
Whenelectricalmaintenanceis
performed,pushintheswitch
markedwith" ".
Ifthepersonalfallprotective
equipmentisusedtoprevent
personsintheplatformfrom
fallingotheplatform,attach
toonlytheauthorizedlanyard
anchoragepointsprovidedin
theplatform.
Thissystemdisablesallofthefunctions,
overloadwarninglightblinksandoverload
warningbuzzersoundswhentheplatformis
overloaded.
Whenoverloadwarningbuzzersoundstarts,
immediatelyreducetheloadontheplatform.
Thissystemdisablesplatformliftupfunction,
tiltlightgoesonandtiltalarmbuzzersounds
whenthemachinetiltsmorethanapprox.3
degreeslongitudinally/1.5degreeslaterally.
Whentiltalarmbuzzersoundstarts,
immediatelylowertheplatformandmoveto
arm,levelsurface.

isonaslope,thislightgoes
on,thealarmbuzzersounds
andplatformliftupfunctionis
disabled.
• Systemfailurelight:Thislight
goesonorblinks,intheevent
ofacomputercontrolsystem
failure.
(4) Hornswitch
Pushthehornbuttonandthe
alarmhornwillsound.Release
thehornbuttonandthealarm
hornwillstop.
Beforemovingthemachine,soundthe
horntowarnthepersonnelaroundthe
machine.
(5) Emergencystopbutton
PushdowntheEmergencystopbuttonto
its"OFF"positiontostopallfunctions.Pull
uptheEmergencystopbuttontoits"ON"
positiontooperatethemachine.
(6) Steeringswitch
Whilethepowerindicatorlight
goesonbyselectingthelift/
travelselectswitchto"TRAVEL,"
operatethesteeringswitchto
rightorleftandthesteeringwheelswill
turnrightorleft.Thisoperationispossible
evenwhentraveling.Evenwhenthe
steeringswitchisreturnedtoneutral,the
steeringwheelswillnotreturntoneutral.
(7) Lift/traveljoystickcontroller
• Whilethepowerindicatorlight
goesonbyselectingthelift/
travelselectswitchto"LIFT,"
operatethisjoystickcontroller
toraiseorlowertheplatform.
