BluebellPagersareusedwiththeTouchsafeProNursecallsystemtoalertstaffofalarmcallsnomatter
wheretheyareonthescheme;theycanalsocombinethefunctionofaNursePresent“Buddy”toidentify
thestaffmemberattendingthecall.Upto999Pagerscanbeusedperscheme.
TheNursecallsystemcanbesetupsoallcallsarereportedtoallPagersatalltimes,orday/nightgroupscan
besetsodifferentPagerscanbenotifieddependingonthetimeofday.Thetypesofcallthatarereported
tothePagerscanbesetalongwiththebeeppatterntoidentifydifferentcalltypes.FurthermorePagers
canbeconfiguredintozonessocallsareonlynotifiedtothestaffresponsibleforspecificareas.
Pagercallscanbealertedbybeeponly(withavarietyofsounds),vibrateonly,orbeepandvibrate
together.AtextmessageontheclearbacklitLCDdisplayidentifiesthecalltypeandwhereithascome
from;thelast4messagesarestoredforlaterreviewifnecessary.
Pagersincludearechargeablebatterywhichcanprovideupto72hoursofusewhenfullycharged,shoulda
lowbatteryconditionoccuritisnotifiedonthePagerdisplay.Singleor5baychargersareavailable.Pagers
arehousedinarobustwaterproofcaseandaresuppliedwithabeltclipandabungeecordasstandard.
AccidentalremovalofaPagercanbepreventedbyusinganExitBeaconorprogrammingtheout‐of‐range
alert.IfthePagerleavessiteitwillbegintobeepandcanonlybestoppedbyreturningittothecharger.
IftheoptionaltelephoneinterfaceisfittedthenPagerscanbecalledfromthebuildingsinternaltelephone
system.ThetelephonenumbertherecipientisbeingrequestedtocallisdisplayedonthePager.

trainedServiceEngineerswhospecialiseinwirelessNursecallandPagingsystems.
Apreventativemaintenancevisit(PMV)isalsoavailablefromAidcall,thiscoversthereplacementofall
non‐rechargeablebatteries,afullsystemtest,softwareupdates(ifapplicable)andaServiceCertificate.

The“NursePresent”featureallowsaCarertoindicatetotheNursecallsystemthattheyareattendingtoa
callorvisitingaPatient.Note:toregisterNursePresentthedisplaysideofthePagermustbepointed
towardstheCallPointfromnomorethan1.5metresawaywhenthebuttonispressed.
Onaroutinevisit;orientatethePagerasshownbelowandpresstheNursePresentbutton‐thered
LEDontheCallPointwillflashonceandtheunitwillbeepwhentheinfra‐red(IR)signalisreceived.
Orifyouarerespondingtoacall;orientatethePagercorrectlyandpresstheNursePresentbutton,the

TheredAlarmbuttoncanbesetuptocallaPagergroupnumberwithanEmergencycallfollowedby
aninfra‐redEmergencycall.ThiswillbereceivedbyaNursecallCallPoint(providedthereisonewithin
rangeandthePagerisorientatedcorrectly)andbedisplayedontheNursecallpanel;amessagewillthenbe
relayedtoallPagerswiththeoriginatingPagerIDandthelocationoftheCallPointthatreceivedthe
infra‐redsignal.
AftertheredbuttonalarmhasbeentransmittedtotheBluebellPagers,theoriginatingPagerwillsend‐out
anEmergencyinfra‐redtransmission.
Theoriginatorthenhastheoptiontopressthebuttontocancelthecalliftheincidenthasbeen
resolvedoriftheredbuttonwaspressedbyaccident.
