USER INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using the Stainless Steel Kettle, basic safety precautions
should always be followed including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using.
2. Before connecting the kettle to the electrical power supply, check
that the voltage indicated on the Kettle (underside the kettle
& base) corresponds with the voltage in your home. If this is not the
case, contact your dealer and do not use the kettle.
3. Do not let the power cable hang over the edge of a table or counter
or touch a hot surface.
4. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a
heated oven.
5. Do not operate the Kettle without water in it to avoid damaging
the heating element.
6. EnsurethattheKettleisusedonarmandatsurfaceoutof
reach of children, this will prevent the kettle from overturning and
avoid damage or injury.
7. Toprotectagainstare,electricshockorpersonalinjury,donot
immerse power cable, plugs or the Kettle in water or any
other liquids.
8. While water is boiling, or just after the water has been boiled, avoid
contact with steam from the spout. Steam is hot and may
burn you.
9. Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without
tipping the Kettle too fast.
Please read this instruction manual carefully before using for
the rst time, and always keep these instructions.

10. This Kettle is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the Kettle by a
person responsible for their safety.
11. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the Kettle.
12. Do not touch the surfaces as they could be hot. Use the handle
or the button.
13. The Base cannot be used for other than intended use.
14. Extreme caution must be used when moving the Kettle
containing hot water.
15. The Kettle is not a toy. Do not let children play with it.
16. The Kettle is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
17. The use of accessories, which are not recommended by the
Kettlemanufacturer,mayresultinre,electricshockor
personal injury.
18. Unplug the Kettle from the electrical supply socket when not in
use or cleaning.
19. Allow the Kettle to cool before putting on or taking off parts,
and before cleaning the Kettle.
20. To disconnect, turn any control to “off,” then remove plug from wall
electrical supply socket.
21. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufactureroritsserviceagentorasimilarlyqualiedpersonin
order to avoid a hazard. See Returns Policy.
22. Do not use the Kettle for other than intended use.
23. The Kettle can only be used with the Base that has
been provided.
24. IftheKettleisoverlled,boilingwatermayspillout.
25. Always ensure the lid is closed and do not lift it while the water
is boiling. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the
brewing cycles.
26. This Kettle is intended to be used in household and
similar applications.
27. Save these instructions.

BEFORE USING YOUR KETTLE
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
IfyouareusingtheKettleforthersttime,itisrecommendedthatyoushould
clean your Kettle before use by boiling the maximum capacity of water once
and then discard the water. Wipe the surface with damp cloth.
Note: The maximum capacity of kettle is 1.7 L.
1. Place the Base on the level surface.
2. TolltheKettle,removeitfromtheBaseandopenthelid
bypressingtheLidReleaseButton,llwiththedesiredamountof
water, and then close the Lid. Alternatively, the Kettle may be
lledthroughthespout.Thewaterlevelshouldnotexceedmaximum
marks or sit below minimum level. Too little water will cause the Kettle
to be switched off before the water has boiled.
Note:Donotllthewateroverthemaximumlevel,aswatermay
spilloutofthespoutwhenboiling.Ensurethatthelidisrmlyin
place before plugging into the power outlet.
3. Position the Kettle on the Base.
4. Connect the plug into an electrical supply socket. Press down the on
/ off Switch, the indicator will light up. Then the kettle will start to
boil the water, once the water has been boiled, the on / off Switch
will be switched off automatically. You can turn off the power by
lifting the on / off Switch at any moment during boiling water cycle.
If you want to boil water again, press down the on / off Switch
directly to restart the Kettle.
Note: Ensure that the on / off Switch is free of obstructions and
thelidisrmlyclosed,thekettlewillnotturnoffiftheswitchis
constrained or if the lid is slightly open.

BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Should you accidentally let the Kettle operate without water, the boil-dry
protection will automatically switch off the power. If this occurs, allow the
kettletocoolfor10minutesbeforellingwithcoldwatertotryandre-boil.
Always disconnect the Kettle from the electrical power supply and allow it to
cool down completely before cleaning.
1. Never immerse the Kettle, Power Cable or Base in water, or
allow moisture to contact with these parts.
2. Wipe the outside of the Kettle with a damp cloth or cleaner,
never use a poisonous cleaner.
3. Remembertocleanthelterat3-monthintervals.Foreasiercleaning,
detachthelterandthenreplaceitaftercleaning.
CAUTION: Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners
to clean the outside of the kettle.
4. When not in use or storage, the power cable can be stored at the
bottom of the Base.
5. Lift the Kettle from the Base and then pour the water.
Note: Operate carefully when pouring the water from your kettle as
boilingwatermayresultinscalding,don’topenthelidwhilethe
water in the kettle is hot.
6. The Kettle will not re-boil until the on / off Switch is pressed down
again. The Kettle may be stored on the Base when not in use.
Note: Always disconnect the power supply when not in use.

REMOvAL OF MINERAL DEPOSITS
ENvIRONMENT FRIENDLY DISPOSAL
Your kettle should be periodically descaled as the mineral deposits in tap
water may form scale at the bottom of the Kettle interior to cause it to
operatelessefciently.Youcanusethecommerciallyavailabledescaleand
follow the instructions on the package of descale. Alternatively, you may
follow the below instructions and use white vinegar.
1. Add 3 cups of white vinegar, then adding water to the maximum
level and leave the Kettle overnight.
2. In the morning, discard the mixture in the in the Kettle, then
llingthekettlewithcleanwater,boilingandthendiscardthewater.
Repeatseveraltimesuntiltheodourofvinegarhasbeenushed
away. Any stains remaining inside the spout can be removed by
rubbing with a damp cloth.

waste disposal centre.

The Manufacturer hereby provides a warranty to the original purchaser of
thisproduct(‘theconsumer’)thatthisproductwillbefreeofmanufacturing
defects in materials and workmanship which under normal, personal, family
or household use (commercial use expressly excluded) manifest themselves
within the 2 year from the date of purchase.
EXCLUSIONS
• The warranty does not include and will not be construed to cover
products damaged as a result of disaster, misuse, commercial use, not
in accordance within the written instructions included with the product,
abuseand/oranynon-authorisedmodicationoftheproduct,incorrect
installation of the product or normal wear and tear.
• Insect infestation of the electrical or motor makes the claim invalid.
• Broken Glass or Customer abuse do not fall under the warranty.
WAIVER
The warranty and the obligations of the Manufacturer provided herein
are in lieu of, and the consumer, waives all other warranties, guarantees,
conditions or liabilities, express or implied, arising by law or otherwise,
including without limitation, any obligation of the manufacturer in respect of
any injury, loss or damage (direct, indirect or consequential) arising out of
the use of, or inability to use this product and whether or not occasioned by
themanufacturer’snegligenceoranyactoromissiononitspart.
PROOF OF PURCHASE
Any claim in terms of the warranty must be supported by a proof of
purchase. If such proof is not available, then not withstanding anything to
thecontraryherein,theserviceagent’sprevailingchargesforservices/
repairs and/or spares will be payable by the Consumer upon collection
of the repaired product. The Consumer should call the Pick n Pay
CUSTOMER CARE number on 0860 30 30 30 (only in South Africa).
Customers residing outside South Africa can return the product back to
a Pick n Pay store. During the warranty period the product may only be
servicedand/orrepairedbytheManufacturer’sdulyauthorisedagent(s).

If this product proves to
be faulty during normal
use due to defective
materials or workmanship.

REPAIRS PROCEDURE
Should you experience any faults on your Aim product, please adhere to the
followingproceduretohavethefaultrectiedspeedilyandprofessionally.
You can return the product to the store.
Call the Pick n Pay CUSTOMER CARE number on 0860 30 30 30 (only
in South Africa) to report the fault and make arrangements for the next
steps.
Note: Should you live in an outlying area or outside South Africa, it may
be necessary to return the product to the store nearest to you.
COST OF REPAIRS
UNDER WARRANTY
Any items still under warranty will be repaired free of charge, as long
as it complies with the terms and conditions of the warranty (refer to
“warranties” section in this manual). Any items that need to be repaired
thatareNOTcoveredinthewarrantywillbefortheconsumer’sexpense.
A quote for the repair/replacement of these items will be provided to the
consumer for approval prior to repairs being conducted.
OUT OF WARRANTY
Any items that need to be repaired once the warranty has expired will be
fortheconsumer’sexpenseincludingcalloutfees.Aquotefortherepair/
replacement of these items will be provided to the consumer for approval
prior to repairs being conducted.
