LEF Loudspeaker Intercom System for Long Distance/Elevators
DESCRIPTION:
The LEF-LD system is designed with the
capability to operate at distances up to 4,000’
and for use in elevators. The sub stations are
availableineithersurfaceorflushmountstyles.
Any LEF, LAF-C/CA, or LDF master station is
available in the Long Distance version.
NOTE:
This is a SINGLE MASTER SYSTEM ONLY.

The LEF-LD system can be used in
a variety of commercial applications:
• Commercial buildings
• Parking Lots
• Airports
• Gated entries
• Office complexes
FEATURES:
• Available in 3, 5, 10, 20, and 40 station sizes
• Systems up to 80 stations with LAF-C-LD system
• Surface mount (LEF) or semi-flush mount (LEF-C)
• Remote stations call to master with momentary
electronic tone and LED, remaining lit for 20 seconds
• Press-to-talk communication at master, hands free at
remote station
• Flush mount (IE-JA-LD), or surface mount (IF-DA-LD)
remote stations
• Simple wiring: 3 conductors to each remote
SPECIFICATIONS:
Power: 12V DC. Use PS-12C.
Output: 500mW at 20 ohms (transmit); 800mW at 20 ohms (receive).
Calling: Mono-electronic tone while call button is pressed, plus LED for 20 seconds.
Wiring: 2 common wires plus 1 individual wire per sub station. Use Aiphone #822203 (homerun)
or #822206 for up to 4 stations (looped).
Wiring Distance: 2,000’ with 22AWG; 4,000’ with 18AWG.
Mounting: Desk or wall mount

ARCHITECTS/ENGINEERS’ SPECIFICATIONS:
The intercom system shall be of an open voice, selective
calling type with three channels for communication and
selective control.
Master station shall have selector buttons with associated
LEDsforcall-inindication,and a directoryfor station labeling.
A call-in shall light the LED for approximately 20 seconds
and activate a momentary call tone. The call shall be
answered by pressing the station’s selector button, then
pressing TALK button to transmit, releasing to listen. The
person at the remote speaks hands free.

Master station shall be capable of transmitting and receiving
audio communication with remotes up to 2,000’ away with
22AWG wire, and 4,000’ with 18AWG wire. Controls on the
master stations shall include TALK and OFF buttons, voice
and call tone volume controls, and an “Occupied” LED to
indicate if the system is in use.
Compatible remote stations shall include surface or flush
mount styles designed for outdoor use, rated as weather
resistant.
System shall be manufactured by Aiphone.
