How to Use Direct Code Input Method.
When your AC IS LISTED on the brand code list
1.
From the Code Table, select the correct codes for your brand. Start with the first
code, if this does not operate your AC, try the second code and so on.
Note: There are often many possible codes. Each code in the list is separated by a
comma"," or hyphen"-". Commas separate individual codes and hyphens show a range of
codes. For example: 0200-0205 means 0200, 0201, 0202, 0203, 0204, 0205.
2.
If necessary unlock the Set Up Function.
3.
Press and release the “S” “SELECT" key, the Model Code display will flash on the LCD.
Using the keypad enter the selected 4 digit code. Press each digit in turn. The Smart Remote
accepts the code automatically and the code numbers stop flashing. To test a code use the
Blue Power Button. If it turns the AC “On”, try other function keys. If the AC does not turn “On”
or if other functions do not work correctly, then try another code. To input another code then
press and release “S” again and enter the new code. Repeat this until all functions work
correctly. If the keypad becomes non responsive unlock again using the“Time+” key.
How to use Smart Remote Brand Code Auto-Search
(When Listed Codes Don’t Work or the Brand is Not Listed)
1.
If necessary unlock the Set Up Function.
2.
Aim the Smart Remote at your air conditioner.
3.
Ensure your air conditioner is on at the mains but not running. Press and hold the “S”
"SELECT" key for 5 seconds and then release. The Smart Remote will go into auto-search
mode and will emit a continuous signal. The code numbers on the LCD display will flash and
then steadily increase. Keep the remote pointing at the AC. (If the code numbers start too
high, use the “TEMP Up & Down” keys to scroll to the code that you want to start the Auto-
Search from.) When the AC receives a signal it recognises it will make a beep and turn on.
Immediately press any key to stop the count on that code. If you don’t stop the count in time
you will need to scroll back to the lower code number required.
4.
Test the code fully by trying all normal function keys. If they do not work correctly with the
AC you have not found a totally compatible code. Repeat steps 1 and 2 until a completely
correct code is found and the AC operates normally.
How to Pair the Smart Remote with your Air Conditioner
The Smart Remote Pairing Code Page at the end of this manual lists most major brands of air
conditioners and the associated Smart Remote Brand Codes. These Smart Remote Codes do
not relate to specificair conditioner model numbers.
If your brand is listed, use the Direct Code Input Method.
If your brand is not listed or if the listed codes are not successful with your AC, then use the
Auto Search function to find the matching code.

Blank Screen. Dim Screen, or if your Remote is not responding
First change batteries. (Never mix new and old batteries together) If after changing
batteries the screen stays blank, the remote needs to be reset/rebooted. Reset the unit by
pressing the recessed “RESET” button on the keypad with a blunt point like a pencil or
pen.
Do not use a sharp point like a pin.
The remote will not lose its settings when you change batteries or if you use the reset
button, but you may need to reset the clock.
Incorrect LCD Display or Unusual Operation.
Reset the unit by pressing the recessed “RESET” button on the keypad with a blunt point
like a pencil. Do not use a sharp point like a pin. The remote will not lose its settings when
you use the reset button but you may need to reset the clock.
During Set Up if the Smart Remote is not operating the AC correctly or if
the AC won’t turn “Off”
Some codes are quite similar. During Set Up the AC may recognise a “partial” Code and
you may find that only some functions will work correctly.
In that case continue pairing steps I and 2 until the correct code is found. If a particular
code turns the AC ‘On’ but not ‘Off’ it may be necessary to turn the AC “Off” by using the
AC’s original remote if available. Alternatively turn the unit off by using the Emergency “Off”
push button (usually located under the filter cover on the front of the AC wall unit. (Please
refer to your AC owners manual). Or you may turn the power supply to the AC “Off” and
“On” again via the mains supply or circuit breaker. Once the AC is back in standby mode
continue the code search. Repeat Pairing steps 1 and 2 until the correct code is found and
the AC works normally.
During Set Up Keypad Inputs Not Working
If the keypad does not respond to a setting input it may be because the keypad has
become locked, If necessary unlock the Set Up Function again.
