2. Safety instructions
Please keep this user manual and read it before use. Observe the safety instructions.
■ If the product is damaged or does not work properly, do not use it. Contact your
supplier.
■ Prevent rain, moisture or water from entering the electrical connections.
■ Make sure that no sharp objects damage the surface of the solar module.
■ The product does not contain any parts that require maintenance. Do not disassemble
the module, attempt to repair it or touch exposed electrical conductors.
■ Ensure correct polarity when wiring the connections. To avoid short circuits, make sure
that the battery and load connections are secure.
■ Avoid contact of products with corrosive substances such as acids, alkalis and oils, etc.
■ Charging a battery is only possible with the charge controller connected (not included in
the scope of delivery).
■ The company is not responsible for damage caused by the user‘s failure to follow the
instructions.
CAUTION:
This appliance generates electric current.
Do not leave it in operation unattended.
It can be dangerous for children and adults.
NOTE:
Dust and dirt covering the surface of the solar module should rst be cleaned
with a soft brush. Then wipe the surface of the module with a damp cloth.
Bird droppings and adhesives should be removed from the surface of the
module as soon as possible so as not to impair performance.
CAUTION:
As the system contains sophisticated electronic components, it is essential
to prevent moisture from entering the unit.

4. Setup and operation
Place the a-TroniX PPS solar bag vario on a at surface with direct sunlight. Make sure
that no branches or other obstacles cast shadows on the solar module.
In order to obtain the greatest possible output, the solar module should be aligned as
perpendicularly as possible to the sun.
NOTE:
■ Make sure that the connected cables do not pose a risk of accident and that
they cannot be damaged by being accidentally stepped on or run over. Avoid
water getting into the connection sockets.
■ Using a suitable charge controller (not included), this solar module can be
used to charge all common batteries.
■ Connect the battery to be charged to the correct outputs of the charge con-
troller. Refer to the corresponding operating instructions of the solar charge
controller.
■ When wiring the connections, ensure that the polarity is correct to avoid short
circuits.
USB-connections
The a-TroniX PPS solar bag vario has two integrated USB connections (5 V, 2 A).
It offers the possibility of fast charging and power supply of mobile devices.

NOTE:
If the LED light ashes, switch off the solar module and the load to check if there
is a short circuit.
If the LED light is red, remove the connected load or place the solar module on a
surface with direct sunlight.
