GETTING STARTED
Before First Use
Prior to using your Binoculars, please read all safety and operating instructions thoroughly.
Please ensure you follow the steps below before using this product.
1. Unpack the product but keep all packaging materials until you have made sure your
new Binoculars are undamaged and in good working order.
2. Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and children so ensure all
packaging materials are kept out of their reach.
3. We recommend you keep the original packaging for storing your Binoculars when not
in use.
Attaching the Neck Strap
It is recommended to attach the neck strap before using the Binoculars. To attach the neck
strap, refer to the instructions below.
1. Place the Binoculars on a flat, dry and stable surface with
the brackets facing upwards and the eyepieces facing
towards you (Fig. 1).
2. The strap ends come already looped so that you can see
how the strap threads through the buckle for attachment
(Fig. 2). Unthread the strap from the underside of the buckle
on one end of the strap so that you have a single piece of
strap. The strap should still be threaded though the buckle
and slider only now it is single, not double (Fig. 3).
NOTE: Take care when you unthread the strap as the slider may fall off the end of the
strap. If this happens, simply thread the slider back onto the strap. The slider should
always be positioned in front of the buckle near the end of the strap.

3. Thread one end of the strap (with the underside
or the buckle facing upwards) through one of the
brackets located on Binoculars (Fig. 4).
NOTE: The end of the strap may catch when threading
through the brackets. If this happens, bend the end of
the strap so that the end curls slightly upwards, then try
again. It may take a few attempts to thread the end of
the strap through the bracket.
4. Thread the strap back through the slider (Fig. 5).
5. Release the tension on the strap remaining in the buckle
(make sure the top strap is now loose and in a loop
so you can easily feed the bottom strap through the
underside of the buckle under the top strap). Thread the
end of strap through the underside of the buckle (Fig. 6).
6. Pull the strap until it is tight and secured into place (Fig. 7).
7. Repeat steps 2-6 to attach the strap to the bracket on
the other side of the Binoculars.
8. Place the Binoculars upright so that the eyepieces are pointing upwards, and the
brackets and strap are closest to you. Hold the strap together tightly, slide the buckle
and slider toward the bracket (Fig. 8 and Fig. 9). Repeat for the other side.

Folding Down the Eye Cups
The Binoculars feature foldable rubber eyecups on the
eyepieces for people that wear glasses.
1. Fold down the rubber edge (eyecup) of the left and
right eyepieces to make it easier to view the entire
image (Fig. 10).
2. After use, return the eyecup to the fully extended
position to ensure the rubber of the eyecups retains
their shape and flexibility.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to remove the rubber edge from around the eyepieces! This
will damage the rubber edge and affect the use of the Binoculars.
NOTE: If your glasses have a distance section, use this part of your glasses to look
through the Binoculars.
NOTE: If you wear contact lenses, there is no need to fold down the rubber eyecups,
you can use the Binoculars in the same way as those with normal vision.

Interpupillary Distance Setting
The distance between the eyes, called the interpupillary
distance, varies from person to person. To achieve the
perfect alignment of the eyepieces to your eyes, follow
the steps below.
1. Remove the 4 protective caps from both the
eyepieces and the objective lenses.
2. Hold the Binoculars in the normal observation
(viewing) position. The interpupillary distance range is
located on the centre of the Binoculars between the
left and right eyepieces (Fig. 11).
NOTE: There is a marking on the right of the interpupillary distance range on the
Binoculars. Your interpupillary distance is where this marking aligns with the
measurement on the interpupillary distance range. It is recommended to take note of
your interpupillary distance for future reference.
3. Grasp the left and right barrels firmly and move the barrels closer together or further
apart until you see a singular circular field of view (Fig. 12 and Fig. 13).
NOTE: The range of interpupillary distance adjustment is 60-70mm. The range is
located in the centre of the front of the Binoculars.
NOTE: Improper alignment of the interpupillary distance will result in double images.
NOTE: If another person uses the Binoculars, they will need to adjust the interpupillary
distance for their eyes.
NOTE: Before each use it is recommended to adjust the interpupillary distance for your eyes.

Dioptre Adjustment
As individual vision varies from person to person, the
Binoculars have a dioptre adjustment that enables you
to adjust the Binoculars to your eyesight. To adjust the
dioptre setting, follow the steps below.
1. Remove the 4 protective caps from both the eyepieces
and the objective lenses.
2. Set the dioptre adjustment ring setting to zero (align
the marking located on the right eyepiece with the “0”)
and look at a distant object (Fig.14).
NOTE: Always keep both eyes open while adjusting the
dioptre setting.
3. Cover the right eyepiece with the eyepiece protective
cap and rotate the focus rocker until the image in the
left eyepiece appears sharp (Fig. 15).
4. Remove the protective cap from the right eyepiece
and cover the left eyepiece with the eyepiece
protective cap (Fig. 16).
5. Look at the same object again and rotate the dioptre
adjustment ring left (-) and right (+) until the image in
the right eyepiece appears sharp.
CAUTION: Never over-twist or force the dioptre adjustment
ring. Excessive force may damage the dioptre adjustment
ring or cause it to break off the Binoculars.
6. Remove the protective cap from the left eyepiece. The Binoculars are now adjusted
for your eyes and ready for use.
NOTE: Take note of the dioptre setting for future reference.
NOTE: If another person uses the Binoculars, they will need to adjust the dioptre
setting for their eyes.
NOTE: Before each use it is recommended to adjust the dioptre setting for your eyes.

Focusing the Binoculars
1. Hold the Binoculars in the normal observation (viewing) position and look through the
eyepieces.
2. Locate the object you wish to view.
NOTE: Keep the Binoculars as still as possible when
observing the object. It is recommended to hold the
Binoculars with both hands and support your elbows on
a surface that is free of movement and vibrations.
3. Rotate the focus rocker left and right until the object

NOTE: When you first begin using the Binoculars, it may take some time adjusting the
dioptre to the correct setting for your eyes and getting the use to using the focus rocker.
It may take a few times of using the Binoculars until you master the technique. The more
you practice the easier it will become and will eventually become second nature.
NOTE: If you cannot focus the Binoculars, the dioptre setting may not be adjusted for
your eyes, or may not be correctly adjusted for your eyes. Refer to the instructions on
page 13 for how to adjust the dioptre setting.
NOTE: The Binoculars come with 4 protective caps that protect the eyepieces and
objective lenses from dust and dirt when not in use and during storage. Always remove
the 4 protective caps before use simply by pulling them off the top of the eyepieces and
off the end of the objective lenses.
WARNING: The Binoculars are very sensitive to excessive humidity and heat.
WARNING: Do not expose the Binoculars to direct sunlight for long periods of time.
Never leave them in a closed car parked in the sun.
CAUTION: Do not expose the Binoculars to water and high humidity. Penetration of
moisture may damage the glass.
CAUTION: Always protect the Binoculars from falling, impact and other strong
mechanical influences.

OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION
Cleaning and Maintenance
Your Binoculars are a high-quality precision optical instrument. Follow these guidelines to
keep your Binoculars in the best condition.
• When you are not using the Binoculars, it is recommended to pack the Binoculars
away for safe storage.
• The Binoculars are likely only to require regular “dusting” to keep them clean. Use a
soft cloth or standard duster, to remove the dust from the Binoculars. Clean the dust
from the Binoculars regularly.
• If the Binoculars become soiled with anything other than dust on their exterior, clean
the exterior of the Binoculars by wiping over the surface with a slightly damp cloth
and then polish with a soft dry cloth.
• Do not use any cleaning agents on the lenses. Be careful that you do not apply too
much pressure when cleaning the lenses of the Binoculars. There is a risk that you
may damage the sensitive parts.
• It is recommended to clean all 4 lenses of the Binoculars regularly with the cleaning
cloth (supplied).
NOTE: Only use the cleaning cloth (supplied) to clean the Binoculars lenses. Using
other cleaning cloths may damage the lenses.
• Water splashes should be wiped off immediately with a soft, dry cloth. Dry the
Binoculars with a clean, dry, soft, and lint-free cloth.
• Do not use detergents or abrasive cleaners, and do not allow moisture, water or other
liquid to enter the Binoculars.
NOTE: Do not use eyeglass cleaning cloths as they can damage the blue lens coating.
Storage
• Ensure that the Binoculars are stored in a cool and dry ventilated location out of direct
sunlight and inside the carry bag (included).
• We recommend storing the Binoculars (inside the carry bag) together with all the
accessories inside their original carton.
• Store the Binoculars in a clean and dry place, out of children’s reach.
