WARNING / MAINTENANCE
GENERAL:
• Carefullyreadtheuser’smanualandfollowalldirections.
• Beforecleaningthespeaker,alwaysremovethemainscablefromthewall
socketandswitchoffthespeaker.
• Cleanthecabinetwithaslightlymoistcloth.
• Neverplaceorusethesetinwetorhumidspaceorenvironment.
• Ensureadequateheatdissipation;nevercoverthesetnorplaceitdirectlynext
to a heat source.
• Preventdamagingthemainscableandensureitdoesn’tcauseariskoftrip-
ping or falling.
• Neverdisassembletheset;thismayonlybeperformedbyqualifiedpersonnel.
• OnlyturnonthespeakeraftersettingallvolumecontrolstoMINIMUM(0),to
avoidpossiblescareswhenswitchingon.
• Prolongedlisteningtohighvolumelevelscancausehearingdamage.

BEFORE USE
The MPA-BOX functions on the mains.
MAINS POWER:
OnlyconnecttheMPA-BOXtoamainspowerof230Volt.
InmostEuropeancountries,themainsoperateson230Volts.
UsethesuppliedpowercordtoconnecttheMPA-BOXwiththemains.
SPEAKER SETUP
POWER SWITCH:
Usethepowerswitchtoturnthespeakeronandoff.
MASTER VOLUME (lower level button):
Themastervolumecontrolallowsyoutocontrolthetotalvolumelevelofthe
set.Whenthisvolumecontrolisswitchedoff(counter-clockwise),thesetwillnot
produceanysound.ATTENTION:Turnthiscontrolfullycounter-clockwisebefore
switchingonthesettopreventthevolumelevelfrombeingtoohigh.
SeparateequipmentcanbeconnectedtottheMPA-BOX,e.g.aDVDplayer(ka-
raoke),minidiskplayerorseparateMP3player.Thesedevicesmustbeprovided
withalineoutput.Useasuitablecable(notincluded)toconnectthesedevicesto
theLINEINinput,theAUXinputoftheset.
MIC VOLUME CONTROL (microphone) (upper level button):
Anexternalmicrophoneorelectricdevicewithcablescanbeconnectedtothe“MIC
input”(XLR)(balanced/symetrical)and(Jack)(balanced/symmetrical).
TheMICvolumecontrolallowsyoutoadjustthevolumeoftherelatedinput.Keepin
mindtoslightlyturnupthemastervolumecontrol,otherwiseyouwon’thearanything.
LINE VOLUME CONTROL (AUX): (centre level button)
- XLR input. - Cinch input.
Het is aan te raden om of de XLR input of de Cinch input separaat te gebruiken.
WerecommendyoutouseeithertheXLRinputortheCinchinputseparately.
Usingbothinputssimultaneouslycanleadtosounddistortion.TheLINEIN
volumecontrolallowsyoutoadjustthevolumeoftherelatedinput.Keepinmind
toslightlyturnupthemastervolumecontrol,otherwiseyouwon’thearanything.
Treble:Usethiscontroltoadjustthelevelofthehighertones.
Bass: Usethiscontroltoadjustthelevelofthelowertones.
LINE OUT:6.3mmjacksymmetricaloutputforanadditionalamplier.

It’spossibletoconnecttheMPA-BOXasanadditionalspeakertotheMPAseries.
Inthiscase,thesignalcomesfromtheMPAseriesspeakerwhichalreadyhasa
built-inaudiosource.Usethesuppliedsignalcabletoconnectthetweespeakers
asbelow.TheMPA-BOXcanbeorderedasanextraspeakerfortheMPAseries.
TheMPA-BOXoperateson230Vmainspower,i.e.mainspowermustbepresent.
TheinputoftheMPA-BOXhastwodifferentinputconnections.
