Read entire Guide before begin with setup
The Alfa AC1200R can be easy configured as W SP (Wireless-Internet-Service-Provider)
from Setup Wizard, this way it acts as a Router with its own DHCP Range. (Devices
connected to AC1200R cannot communicate with other devices connected to main
Router)
When it comes to set it as Wi-Fi Repeater (also called Wireless ridge / Wireless
Extender) in same LAN Network as the main Router, it is a bit more complicated.
Match several Routers to the same LAN Network may be very useful for
communication between computers or Surveillance Camera systems.
Here are instructions to make it possible with AC1200R, you can
Repeat/Bridge/Extend the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz Network (if main Router supports 5Ghz)
Above picture shows all operation modes of AC1200R
For this setup, you need to connect a Network Cable in Computer and other end in one
of the AC1200R’s LAN port (Do not wire connect the 2 routers!)
Open a web page using Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Firefox and type:
http://192.168.26.1 (or 192.168.26.1) in address bar & press "Enter". If a login page
asks for user & password, enter admin in both fields.
If you cannot reach the setup page, restart the Computer, if you use a Laptop, you may
need to disable Wi-Fi Radio temporarily.

Router will Reboot and come back to setup page

Here we use the 2.4G Network.
Click on 2.4GHz then Security Tab; choose the Encryption type (WPA2 in example here)
Enter a Password in “Pre-Shared Key” field. (**Remember this Password for later)
Each time you see: Reboot Now / Reboot Later, click on Reboot Later

If you use 5Ghz Network, repeat same steps in 5G security section. (**Remember this
Password for later)

Now go to LAN Interface , set DHCP to Client & Apply.

In this part we will set 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz Wireless to connect to the Main Router
Here I use 2.4Ghz, because Main Routers 5G is not reachable, or signal too weak.
If you have a strong 5G signal, you can use 5G instead and do it the same way!
Check “Enable Universal Repeater..” box & Apply Changes

Under Site Survey you should find available Networks. My Main Router’s Wi-Fi SSID is
“ ell605” you need to know its password (if password protected)

If you see connect successfully, Check Add to wireless profile & click on Reboot Now.
All Done!

Note: After Reboot, you may need to reboot computer too, or disable /enable Network
adapter because the ip address will be changed to the Main routers ip range!
Any wireless Device can now connect to the “11n AP2.4G” and “11n AP 5G” Network
using the password entered in this step (**Remember this Password for later) at begin.
