ThePet‐1stindoorpettrainingsystemisnottobeused
foraggressivepets.Donotusethisproductifyourpets
tendtobehaveaggressively.Aggressivepets,especially

BeforeinstalltheAwayzoneandapplytheFencingCollarto
yourpet,pleasemakesurebothdeviceshavebatteries
installedandpoweroff.
5.1InstalltheAwayzone
YoumayplacetheAwayzoneonawall,afloororasurface.
SincetheAwayzoneemitsradiosignalstoaspherical
direction,thesignalsaretransmittedmoreeffectively
towardthedirectionwithoutobstacles.Thesignalsmay
passthroughaceilingorwallandbecomeweaker.
Structuresorobjectswithmetalelementsembeddedwill
alsoweakenthedirectionalsignalsbehindthe
structures/objects.
Pleasenote:
DonotinstalltheAwayzoneonmetalsurfaces.
DonotplacetheAwayzoneadjacenttolargemetal
objects,e.g.oven,washer,refrigerator,etc.
DonotinstalltheAwayzoneclosetotheinternetwireless
transmitter,audiodevice,televisionsatellitedisk,etc.
Applytheanti‐slipstickypadsonthebackofthe
Awayzonebeforeplacingonthehorizontalsurface,or
installscrewstothewallandmounttheAwayzone.

DonotinstalltheAwayzoneinanoutdoorenvironment.
TheAwayzoneshallbekeptawayfromwetspots,orplaces
ofhighhumidity.
5.2SetUptheAwayzone
CAUTION
RemovetheFencingCollarfromyourpetfirst.Donot
performtestsortrytosetupthedeviceswhenyourpetis
wearingtheCollar.
1.Makesurethereare4*AAbatteriesinstalledinthe
Awayzone.Or,unscrewthebatterydooronthebackof
theAwayzoneandplace4*AAbatteriesinsidethe
batterycompartment.Then,closethebatterydoorand
secureitwithascrew.(RefertoFig.6)
2.PowerOn:PressandholdthePowerKey onthefront
sideoftheAwayzonefor2seconds.Whenthelightturns
green,releasethebuttonandtheindicatorstaysgreen
for3seconds,confirmingthepowerison.
3.TheAwayzonecomeswithanenergy‐efficientdesign.In
astandbymode,theindicatorflashesgreenevery5
seconds.

turningthepower
off,pressandhold
thePowerKey
fortheindicator
toturngreen.
Afterpressingthe
buttonfor2
seconds,the
greenlightwill
turnoff,indicating
thatthepoweris
off.Releasethebutton.

6.SinceoneAwayzonecanpairwithunlimitednumberof
theFencingCollars,youcansetupseveralFencingCollars
ofvariousAwayzoneAreaswithdifferentradiuses
centeredattheAwayzonepositiontooperateatdifferent
levelsofStimulationCorrection.Thisfeatureisespecially
designedforuserswhohavemorethanonepet.Please
referto“SetUptheFencingCollar”onsettingupthe
differentAwayzoneAreasanddifferentlevelsof
StimulationCorrection.
7.TocheckwhetherthepoweroftheAwayzoneison,tap
thePowerKey once.Ifthedeviceisturnedon,the

5.3"Free"barkingduration
Yourdogisallowedfivesecondsof"free"barkingtime,
duringwhichjustwarningbeepwilltrigger.Shouldyour
dogcontinuetobark,theNoBarkCollarwilladministera
stimulationcorrectionatthelevelthatyouhaveselected.
5.4TesttheAwayzoneArea
WhenyouperformtestontheAwayzonewithoutplacing
theFencingCollaronyourpet,pleasekeepyourhands
awayfromthemetalcontactsontheFencingCollar.
1.PleaserefertoStep6inthe“SetUptheFencingCollar”
sectionabout“distancesetting”todefinethedistance
betweentheFencingCollarandtheAwayzone.
2.PleaserefertoStep9inthe“SetUptheFencingCollar”
sectionabout“Stimulationcorrectionsetting”.Setthe
stimulationcorrectionleveltolevel0(audioalertsound
only,noelectrical‐stimulation)forthetestingandtraining
purpose.
3.TurnthepowerofboththeAwayzoneandtheFencing
Collaron.
4.KeeptheFencingCollaratabouttheheightofyourpet.
First,startoutsidetherangeandmovetowardthe
Awayzone.AsyouenterthespecifiedAwayzoneArea,the

FencingCollarbeginstoemitaseriesofbeepsound.
Beepsoundonlyforthestimulationcorrectionlevel0.
Forthestimulationcorrectionlevel1to8,youwillsee
indicatorsflashesgreenandredalternatively.Thebeep
soundmaybedifficultforsomepeopletohear,butis
easilyheardbyyourpets.
5.WhenyoumoveawayfromtheAwayzoneArea,thebeep
soundandthestimulationcorrectionwillstop.
6.Ifyoufeelthatyoudonotgettheexactrangeofthe
setting,pleasetrytomovetheAwayzoneafewsteps
away,orlaythedeviceflatonthesurfaceinsteadofon
thewall,removeitemsthatmayblockthedevice.Toget
thebestresults,theAwayzoneshallbeplacedona
nonconductivesurface,orawayfromanyobjects
containingmetalelementsthatcanalterthemagnetic
field.
InordertomaintainaneffectiveoperationoftheFencing
Collar,tofittheFencingCollartoyourpetcorrectlyand
properlyisessential.
1.Makesureyourpetisinacomfortablestandingposition.
2.MakesureboththeAwayzoneandtheFencingCollarare
inpoweroffstate.

5.4ChangeMetalContacts
IncludedwiththePAZ‐100aremetalcontactsofthree
differentlength(short,mediumandlong)thatdeliver
stimulationcorrectiontoyourdog.Choosethemetal
contactsofappropriatelengthforyourdog’shaircoat.If
yourdoghasdensecoatsorundercoats,useoneofthe
longermetalcontactsincludedwithyourPBZ‐100.
IMPORTANT
MakesurethatyoupowerofftheFencingCollarbefore
replacingthemetalcontacts.Makesurethatthemetal
contactsaresecurelyfastened.Donotovertighten.
Usingyourfingerstounscrewthemetalcontacts
counter‐clockwisetoloosenandremovethem
Insertanotherpairofmetalcontactsoftheappropriate
lengthandgentlyscrewclockwisewithyourfingersto
tightenthem.
5.5UsingMultipleFencingCollars
1.Ifyouhavemorethanonepet,whenyouusethePet‐1st

pettrainingsystemforthefirsttime,itisrecommended
thatyouallowonepetintrainingarea,puttheFencing
Collarononepet,andtrainonepetatatime.Bydoingso,
yourpetwillbeabletofocusonthetraining,learnthe
signalsandcomplywithyourinstructioneasier.Youwill
beabletogiveyourfullattentionduringthetraining
process.
2.SetupeachCollarwithadesireddistancesettingforthe
AwayzoneAreaandsetthestimulationcorrectionto
Level0(alertsoundonly,noelectricalstimulation)first
beforeyouapplythestepsof“PuttheFencingCollaron
YourPet”foreachpet.
3.Whenyoutrainmorethanonepet,itisrecommendedto
removetheFencingCollarfromthepetrightafterits
trainingsessioniscompletedbeforeyoubegintraining
thesecondpet.Leadyourpettoanotherroomorarea
beforebringingthesecondpettotheAwayzoneAreafor
training.
5.5TrainYourPet
Beforeyoustarttrainingyourpet,pleasemakesurethe
FencingCollarisproperlyputaroundyourpet’sneck.
Pleaserefertothestepsof“PuttheFencingCollaronYour
Pet”.LeadyourpetoutsidetheAwayzoneAreabeforeyou
turnboththeAwayzoneandtheFencingCollarpoweron.

5.6FirstTrainingSession
Theobjectiveoftrainingyourpetsinresponsetothe
operationofthePet‐1stinvisiblePAZ‐100istoletyourpets
learntoleave/avoidtheAwayzoneAreasyouspecified,
followingastimulationcorrection.Afterfewrepeated
trainings,yourpetswilllearntoavoidtheuncomfortable
feelingincurredintheAwayzoneAreas.Eventually,thepets
willbeaccustomedtostayoutsidetheAwayzoneArea.
Pleasegiveyourfullattentiontoyourpetduringthefirst
trainingsessionandobservecarefullyitsresponse,inorder
toguideyourpettoafasterlearningprocess.Itmaytake
severalsessionsforyourpettounderstandandlearnto
copewiththeexistenceoftheAwayzoneAreasinceeach
petlearnsatadifferentrate.Pleaseremembertopraise
yourpeteverytimeafteritfollowsyourinstructionsand
leavetheAwayzoneArea.Bydoingthenegativeand
positivereinforcementstrategies,yourpetmayeasily
determinetheinvisiblefencedareaitself.
1.TurntheAwayzonepoweron.
2.StartthefirsttrainingsessionfromoutsidetheAwayzone
Area.
3.PlacetheFencingCollararoundyourpet’sneckandmake
surethatthemetalcontactsdirectlycontacttheskinof
yourpet’sneck.
