How to use Seretide®Diskus®
• Remove your Diskus from your mouth
• Hold your breath for ten seconds (or for
as long as is comfortable)
• Breathe out slowly and calmly
• Afterwards, rinse your mouth with water
and spit it out. This may help to stop you
getting thrush and being hoarse

• Place the mouthpiece between your lips
• Breathe in steadily and deeply
through your Diskus and not your nose.

INHALE
• Hold the outer case in one hand
• Place the thumb of the other hand in the
thumb grip
• Slide the outer case away from
you until it clicks

OPEN
• Hold your Diskus with the
mouthpiece facing towards you
• Slide the lever away from you until it clicks
• Do not play with the lever as it opens the
blisters and wastes medicine

SLIDE
• Hold your Diskus away from your mouth
• Breathe out as far as is comfortable
(Do not breathe into your Diskus)

• Close your Diskus by sliding the outer
case (see Step 1) back towards you
• Your Diskus is now ready for your
next dose
