About EV-ACC01
EV-ACC01 is a lifting pole intended to assist patients in positioning themselves on the bed.
The lifting pole is supplied with a strap and handle. EV-ACC01 is suitable for use with
Arjo Evenda long term care bed.

WARNING
Do not exceed the Safe Working Load of 75 kg
(165 lb).
WARNING
Do not use the lifting pole to push or pull the
bed.
WARNING
Do not suspend other equipment from the
lifting pole.
WARNING
Refer to the bed Instructions for Use to
conrm compatibility before using this
accessory.
WARNING
The lifting pole must be positioned so that the
handle hangs over the middle of the bed.
WARNING
Do not allow the strap and handle to hang
outside the perimeter of the bed.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of patient entrapment, the
head end panel must remain tted at all times
while the lifting pole is installed on the bed.
WARNING
The bed should not be occupied by a patient
while the lifting pole is being tted.
WARNING
Before installing the lifting pole, check that
the bed’s lifting pole sockets are not damaged
in any way.
WARNING
Make sure that the lifting pole and handle are
positioned to suit the size and medical needs
of the patient.
WARNING
The strap and handle must not be used by
persons under twelve years of age.
WARNING
The operational life of the strap and handle
is ve years when used and maintained
in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions. After this time the complete unit
should be replaced.
WARNING
Inspect the strap and handle regularly. If any
sign of wear or damage is found, remove
it from use immediately and replace the
complete unit.

Installation and use
1. Insert the lifting pole into either socket at the head
end of the bed, with the horizontal part of the pole
above the centre of the bed. See Figure 1.
2. Twist the pole so that the notch locates over the
pin at the bottom of the socket.
3. When the lifting pole is correctly installed the
indicator line is level with the top of the socket.
See Figure 2.
4. Fit the lifting strap loop over the horizontal part
of the lifting pole. Make sure that the loop lies
between the projecting pegs at all times.
5. To adjust the height of the handle above the bed,
press the release button and adjust the strap to
the required length. See Figure 3.
WARNING
Do not adjust the strap while a patient is
holding the handle as this may damage the
mechanism. After adjusting the strap, make
sure it locks with an audible “click”.
Do not twist the strap more than 180 as this
may cause premature wear.

Removal
1. Remove the strap and handle.
2. Lift the lifting pole out of the socket.
Cleaning
WARNING
Remove the strap and handle from the lifting
pole before cleaning.
WARNING
Only use approved disinfectants and
cleaning methods. Other products may cause
degradation of the equipment and possibly
premature failure.
WARNING
Use all cleaners and disinfectants with care.
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
WARNING
Do not disinfect the strap and handle in
a pressure chamber, autoclave or steam
cleaner as this may damage the product.
Lifting pole: Refer to the bed instructions for use.
Strap and handle: Follow the cleaning and
disinfection procedures recommended by the
manufacturer and your local institutional cleaning and
disinfection protocols.
Care and preventive maintenance
Refer to the bed Instructions for use.
Product weight
The weight of EV-ACC01 including strap and handle
is 8 kg (18 lb).
Safe working load
The safe working load for EV-ACC01 is 75 kg
(165 lb).
End of life disposal
Components that are primarily made up of di󰀨erent
kinds of metal (containing more than 90% metal by
weight) for example sling bars, rails, upright supports
etc., should be recycled as metals.
WARNING
Before cleaning the handle, extend the strap
fully and leave it extended until the handle is
completely dry.

Über EV-ACC01
Das EV-ACC01 ist ein Patientenaufrichter, der es Patienten ermöglicht, ihre Position im Bett selbstständig
zu verändern. Der Patientenaufrichter wird mit einem Befestigungsband und einem Gri󰀨 geliefert.
Das EV-ACC01 eignet sich für die Verwendung mit dem Langzeitpegebett Evenda von Arjo.

Überschreiten Sie nicht die sichere Arbeitslast von

Größe und den medizinischen Bedürfnissen
des Patienten entsprechen.

Befestigungsband und Gri󰀨 dürfen nicht von
Personen unter zwölf Jahren verwendet werden.
WARNUNG
Die Betriebsdauer von Befestigungsband und
Gri󰀨 beträgt fünf Jahre, wenn sie gemäß den
Herstelleranweisungen verwendet und gewartet
werden. Nach Ablauf dieser Zeit sollte die gesamte
Einheit ausgetauscht werden.
WARNUNG
Überprüfen Sie Befestigungsband und Gri󰀨
regelmäßig. Bei Verschleißerscheinungen oder
Schäden darf der Patientenaufrichter nicht
mehr verwendet werden und muss vollständig
ausgetauscht werden.

Montage und Verwendung
1. Setzen Sie den Patientenaufrichter so in eine der
beiden Aufnahmen am Kopfteil des Betts ein, dass
sich der waagerechte Teil des Aufrichters über der
Mitte des Betts bendet. Siehe Abbildung 1.
2. Drehen Sie den Aufrichter so lange, bis die Einkerbung
über dem Stift am Boden des Standfußes liegt.
3. Bei richtiger Montage des Patientenaufrichters
bendet sich die Markierungslinie genau auf Höhe
der Aufnahmebuchse. Siehe Abbildung 2.
4. Schieben Sie die Schlaufe des Befestigungsbands
auf den waagerechten Teil des Patientenaufrichters.
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass sich die Schlaufe
jederzeit zwischen den hervorstehenden Stiften
am Aufrichter bendet.
5. Zum Einstellen der Höhe des Gri󰀨s über dem Bett:
Drücken Sie den Entriegelungsknopf und stellen Sie
das Befestigungsband auf die gewünschte Länge ein.

WARNUNG
Justieren Sie das Befestigungsband nicht,
während ein Patient den Gri󰀨 festhält. Dies könnte
den Mechanismus beschädigen. Stellen Sie sicher,
dass das Befestigungsband nach der Justierung
hörbar einrastet.
Verdrehen Sie das Befestigungsband nicht
um mehr als 180°. Dies könnte zu frühzeitiger
Abnutzung führen.

2. Heben Sie den Patientenaufrichter aus der Aufnahme.
Reinigung
WARNUNG
Vor der Reinigung Befestigungsband und Gri󰀨
von dem Patientenaufrichter entfernen.
WARNUNG
Verwenden Sie ausschließlich zugelassene
Desinfektionsmittel und gehen Sie gemäß
den üblichen Reinigungsmethoden vor.
Die Verwendung anderer Produkte kann zu
Zersetzung und vorzeitiger Abnutzung
der Geräte führen.
WARNUNG
Verwenden Sie alle Reinigungs- und
Desinfektionsmittel mit Vorsicht.
Herstelleranweisungen beachten.
WARNUNG
Desinzieren Sie Befestigungsband und Gri󰀨
nicht in einer Druckkammer. Sie dürfen auch nicht
autoklaviert oder mit Dampf gereinigt werden,
da dies die Artikel beschädigen könnte.
Patientenaufrichter: Siehe Bedienungsanleitung
des Betts.
Befestigungsband und Gri󰀨: Befolgen Sie die
vom Hersteller empfohlenen Reinigungs- und
Desinfektionsverfahren sowie Ihre vor Ort geltenden

Entsorgung nach Ende
der Lebensdauer
Komponenten, die hauptsächlich aus bestimmten
Metallarten bestehen (mehr als 90 % aus Metall nach

EV-ACC01 est une potence destinée à aider les patients à se positionner dans le lit. La potence
est livrée avec une poignée et une sangle. EV-ACC01 est conçu pour être utilisé avec le lit de
soins de longue durée Evenda d’Arjo.

besoins médicaux du patient.

La sangle et la poignée ne doivent pas être
utilisées par des personnes de moins de

La durée de vie opérationnelle de la sangle
et de la poignée est de cinq ans sous réserve
du respect des consignes d’utilisation et
d’entretien du fabricant. Au terme de cette
période, l’unité complète doit être remplacée.

poignée. Si vous constatez des signes
d’usure ou de détérioration, retirez
immédiatement l’unité complète et
remplacez-la.

Installation et utilisation
1. Insérez la potence dans l’un des deux supports
au niveau de la tête de lit, avec la partie
horizontale positionnée au-dessus du centre
du lit. Voir la Figure 1.
2. Tournez la potence pour que l’encoche se
retrouve au-dessus de la goupille au fond
du support.
3. Lorsque la potence est correctement installée,
la ligne de repère est au même niveau que
le haut du support. Voir la Figure 2.
4. Passez la boucle de la sangle de levage
par-dessus la partie horizontale de la potence.
Assurez-vous que la boucle se trouve en
permanence entre les deux chevilles de
positionnement.
5. Pour régler la hauteur de la poignée au-dessus
du lit : appuyez sur le bouton de déverrouillage
et réglez la sangle à la longueur requise.

AVERTISSEMENT
Ne réglez pas la sangle lorsque le patient
tient la poignée, cela peut endommager
le mécanisme. Après avoir ajusté la sangle,
assurez-vous qu’elle soit bloquée grâce au
« clic » sonore.
Ne tournez pas la sangle à plus de 180 degrés
an d’éviter une usure prématurée.

1. Retirez la sangle et la poignée.
2. Soulevez la potence hors de son support.
Nettoyage
AVERTISSEMENT
Retirez la sangle et la poignée de la potence
avant de procéder au nettoyage.
AVERTISSEMENT
N’utilisez que les désinfectants et les
méthodes de nettoyage approuvés.
L’utilisation d’autres produits peut
entraîner une dégradation de l’équipement,
voire une défaillance prématurée.
AVERTISSEMENT
Manipulez les produits nettoyants et
désinfectants avec soin. Suivez les
instructions du fabricant.
AVERTISSEMENT
Ne désinfectez pas la sangle et la poignée
dans une chambre pressurisée, en autoclave
ou à la vapeur, au risque d’endommager
le produit.
Potence : Reportez-vous au mode d’emploi du lit.
Sangle et poignée : Suivez les procédures de
nettoyage et de désinfection recommandées
par le fabricant ainsi que les protocoles locaux
de nettoyage et de désinfection en vigueur dans
l’établissement.
