5. Make sure that the plugs for light diodes
and push-button are mounted.
6. Ensure that no conductors are stuck.
7. Click on the upper part. Push both ends until
you hear a click. The Airflow Alarm is now
ready for use.
See ill. C
Changing battery:
Stick a small screwdriver into the slot and take off
the upper part.
Mounting instructions
This box contains: 1 Airflow Alarm
1 Battery – 9V
1 Drill 3.8 mm
2 Screws 4.2 x 9.5
1 Mounting label
Damper
The Airflow Alarm is a vacuum based measuring
instrument with a light diode (LED) indicating
various operating states by means of flashes and
changes of color. Measurements are taken every
minute.
Activation when starting up
Ensure that the ventilator is switched on and the
damper is open See ill.
A
. Activate the Airflow
Alarm by pressing the button. One short sound
signal and four green flashes indicate that the
Airflow Alarm is active.
By sufficient exhaustion, the diode will flash green
every 6 seconds.
Alarm by insufficient exhaustion
By lack of or insufficient suction, the alarm is
activated flashing red at intervals of 1 second.
A sound signal is given every 5 flashes. The alarm
continues until the suction is sufficient – or
enters sleeping mode after 8 minutes. The sound
signal stops after 2 minutes.
Press button to switch off sound signal.
By alarm make sure that:
1. The ventilation system is switched on
2. The damper is open
3. The speed governor is turned up
4. The air flows freely through the arm.
NB: By continued alarm, please contact your
electrician.The installation might need check-up,
cleaning or optimization.
Instructions for use
Resuming optimal suction
When optimal suction is resumed, the Airflow
Alarm will indicate this by one green flash and 3
short sound signals.
Battery control
By low battery, the Airflow Alarm automatically
gives a warning.
When the LED diode flashes red-green at an
interval of app.1 second and gives a sound signal
every 10 seconds, it is time to change battery.
Programming for a new alarm level
The standard alarm level of minimum suction is
by 4 m/Sec. If you need a higher alarm level, you
can program the Airflow Alarm as follows:
Set the fan on the needed minimum suction
level. Push down the button for about 6 seconds
until a red flash followed by a short sound signal
and 4 green flashes confirm that a new alarm
level is fixed.
If the alarm level is lower than 4m/sec, the Air-
flow Alarm will give one long sound signal and
flash red indicating that the chosen alarm level
is too low.
Switching off the Airflow Alarm
In exceptional cases, the Airflow Alarm can be
switched off by keeping the button pressed
down for app. 3 seconds while the LED glows
green. When the diode is off, the Airflow Alarm is
switched off.
NB! The durability of the battery delivered together
with the Airflow Alarm is approx.9 months.
