1. Precautions and Safety Warnings
Please read this manual carefully before using your CN5102US.
Keep this manual handy for future reference. These safety
instructions are to ensure the long life of your CN5102US and to
prevent fire and shock hazards. Please read them carefully and
heed all warnings.
1.1 General
•There are no user serviceable parts inside. Qualified Altinex
service personnel must perform all service.
1.2 Handling
•To prevent fire or shock, do not expose this unit to water or
moisture. Do not place the CN5102US in direct sunlight, near
heaters, or heat-radiating appliances, or near any liquid.
Exposure to direct sunlight, smoke, or steam can harm
internal components.
•Handle the unit carefully. Dropping or jarring can cause
damage.
•Do not pull any cables that are attached to the CN5102US.
•Do not place heavy objects on top of the CN5102US.
1.3 Cleaning
•Unplug the CN5102US before cleaning.
•Clean only with a dry cloth. Never use strong detergents or
solvents such as alcohol or thinner. Do not use a wet cloth or
water to clean the unit. Do not open the unit to clean.
1.4 FCC Notice
•This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This
device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this
device must accept any interference received, including
interference that may cause undesired operation.
•This equipment has been tested and found to comply with
the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of
the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide
reasonable protection against harmful interference when the
equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This
equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency
energy and if not installed and used in accordance with
instructions found herein, may cause harmful interference to
radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a
residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in
which case the user will be required to correct the
interference at his own expense.
•Any changes or modifications to the unit not expressly
approved by Altinex, Inc. could void the user’s authority to
operate the equipment.
2. Installation Procedures
The CN5102US can be installed inside a Cable-Nook Jr. or into furniture horizontally or vertically as
shown. Typically, furniture units are installed in a tabletop, but can be installed inside a desk or podium.
Note: Download and read the entire online manual to become familiar with the CN5102US.
Step 1. Locate the best position for the CN5102US.
Step 2. If installing in furniture, prepare the cutout for the table.
Warning: Altinex recommends using an experienced professional to make the table cutout.
This ensures accuracy and aesthetically pleasing results.
Step 3. Install the CN5102US into the Cable-Nook Jr. opening or tabletop.
Tabletop: Route the power cord down through the opening in the tabletop. Fasten the
CN5102US to the surface using the appropriate screws.
Cable-Nook Jr.: Route the power cord down through the opening in the Cable-Nook Jr. Fasten the
CN5102US to the surface using the 4 screws provided with the unit. The
CN5102US requires 5 hole sets of the 13 total hole sets available in the
Cable-Nook Jr.

•Covers 5-screw hole sets of the Cable-Nook Jr.
The Altinex CN5102US Dual AC Power Module is designed for use inside Altinex's Cable-Nook Jr. series of interconnect boxes but can
also be installed directly into furniture. The Cable-Nook Jr. is designed for boardrooms and conference rooms where it provides a
simple and effective means of hiding/storing multimedia cables and connectors. The cables remain connected to a presentation system
enabling the user to access connections to video, audio, and other media sources. The modular Cable-Nook Jr. uses a half-moon lid
that remains flush with the table when not in use.
The CN5102US module provides safe, ample AC power for users to power laptops, projectors, or other presentation equipment.
To access the CN5102US power module inside the Cable-Nook Jr., simply lift the door and plug in to the AC receptacles the same as
any other AC power outlet. The lid closes easily even with several cables in use.

7. Operation
The CN5102US requires no adjustments for optimum performance.
Once installed, the CN5102US will work trouble-free without user intervention.
