●Scale formation that builds up and adheres to surfaces is a hard, rock-
like layer of dissolved minerals precipitated by heating water. Built-
up scale reduces energy efficiency and will build to a point of creating
downtime and expensive service calls.
●The CombiGuard System effectively binds dissolved minerals to
inhibit the formation of scale.
●Particulate matter found in water also contributes to scale formation
and restricts the flow through plumbing that leads to blockage.
●The CombiGuard System filters dirt, sediment, and other debris as
small as 1/2 micron.
●Chlorine compounds become corrosive in water vapor resulting in the
corrosion of heating elements and boilers which causes pitting on
metal surfaces.
●The CombiGuard System will significantly reduce chlorine content to
protect against corrosion.

Each FI-26356 filter cartridge contains 70 grams of iliphos®,
which is isolated and evenly distributed through the core of the
filter for maximum contact time and consistent dosing between
filter changes. This scale and corrosion inhibiting technology
provides a perfect balance of media which effectively reduces the
precipitation and accumulation of damaging scale and guards
against corrosion in steam generating equipment.

Allow a minimum of 3" (76mm) under the housing to provide sufficient clearance for filter replacement.
The CombiGuard system must not be mounted near any source of heat nor in any area or above any device that
would be adversely affected by water.

The CombiGuard Water Filtration System will preform as indicated with the water supply in most areas;
however, the water supply should be tested prior to installation to make certain it meets the water
criteria listed on the Combitherm specification sheet for the oven model used. Contact Alto- haam
service for recommendations if water does not meet published standards.
