Note:
Even though the paired device and this speaker support the same
Bluetooth profiles, functions may vary due to specification differenc-
es of the paired devices.
* Disclaimer
To pair a device to this speaker the device must support the listed
Bluetooth profiles. For MP3 connectivity the device must support the
A2DP profile via or a stereo Bluetooth transmitter/dongle. Some
features may not be supported by all devices. Contact the device
manufacturer regarding feature compatibility.

Basic operation
1. Turning on/off BTS001
Note: Every time the BTS001 is turned on, it will connect to last
connected device automatically. If no device can be connected after
5 minutes, it will turn off automatically in order to conserve power.

2. Pairing BTS001 with Bluetooth devices
How to enter pairing mode
Note:
• Pairing mode will last 5 minutes, BTS001 will turn off
automatically if no device can be connected after 5 minutes.
• You will hear two “Du” tones while entering pairing mode.
• When a BTS001 paired connection breaks due to being out of
range, the BTS001 will re-pair automatically once the previously
paired device comes back into range.
Pairing BTS001 with a Bluetooth cell phone
Please make sure your cell phone is Bluetooth-enabled. Specific
pairing steps may vary with different cell phones. Please refer to
your cell phone’s user’s manual for further information. The general
pairing steps are as follows:
1) Keep BTS001 and your Bluetooth cell phone within 3 feet
when pairing;
2) Enter BTS001s pairing mode (refer to “How to enter pairing
mode);
3) Turn on your cell phone’s Bluetooth function and search for
Bluetooth devices. After the search is completed, select
“BTS001” from the Bluetooth device list;
4) If requested, enter password or PIN No:”0000”, and press
”Yes” or “confirm”;
5) After successful pairing, select “BTS001” from the Bluetooth
device list and press “connect”;
6) After successful connection, the Blue LED of BTS001 will flash
once every 2 seconds.

Note:
• If pairing fails, turn off the speaker and repeat the pairing
process steps 1 through 6 mentioned above.
• After initial pairing, the speaker will automatically pair with the
last paired Bluetooth device.
• To pair the speaker with other devices, repeats steps 1 through 6
mentioned above.
• If the Bluetooth version of your cell phone is V2.1 and above,
you will not need to enter a pairing password as the speaker
and phone will match automatically.
Pairing the speaker with a Bluetooth transmitter
You can connect the speaker to a Bluetooth transmitter/dongle to
enjoy music wirelessly. The general pairing procedure is as follows:
1) Place the speaker and the Bluetooth transmitter where they are
easily viewable - no more than 3 feet apart;
2) Enter the speakers pairing mode (Please refer to “How to enter
pairing mode);
3) Turn on the Bluetooth transmitter. It will search for Bluetooth
devices automatically and send a pairing request;
4) When the speaker requests to enter a PIN No., the transmitter will
response “0000” automatically;
5) After successful pairing and connecting, the blue LED of the
speaker will flash twice quickly every 5 seconds.
Note:
• The pairing password of the speaker is “0000”. The speaker can
only pair with a Bluetooth transmitter with a matching pairing
password.
If pairing still fails after several tries, please refer to the Bluetooth
transmitter’s user’s manual for further instructions.
Multi-pairing
The speaker can connect with two devices at most. For instance you
can pair a cell phone supporting the Bluetooth HFP profile, and a
transmitter/dongle supporting the Bluetooth A2DP profile. To
multi-pair please refer to the following steps:
1) Firstly, pair the speaker with a Bluetooth transmitter (refer to
“Pairing the speaker with a Bluetooth transmitter);
2) Turn off the Bluetooth transmitter;
3) Pair and connect the speaker with a Bluetooth cell phone (refer
to “Pairing the speaker with a Bluetooth cell phone”).
4) Turn on the Bluetooth transmitter; it will connect to the speaker
automatically.
Note:
• For cell phone supporting the HSP and A2DP Bluetooth profiles,
pairing with the speaker will simultaneously include both profiles
and will not allow paring of an additional A2DP device.
3. Music playback
• Connecting to a Bluetooth A2DP cell phone or a Bluetooth
transmitter.
a) Make sure your cell phone or Bluetooth transmitter has already
established an A2DP connection with BTS001.
b) You can listen to your music from BTS001 while using your
Bluetooth cell phone or other Bluetooth music devices for
playback.
c) Adjust the volume: Short press and to adjust the
volume.
d) Pause/play: Press to pause music and press once more to
play music.
e) Previous/next song: Press to play previous song and press
to play next song.
3.5mm audio input
a) Connect your MP3 player using the 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable.
Insert one end into the input jack of BTS001 and the other end
into your music player’s headphone jack.
Note:
• When music is transmitted to BTS001 using the 3.5mm jack
socket, you cannot pause/play, play last /next song on BTS001.
• If you plug in a music player to the input socket of BTS001, the
Bluetooth function of BTS001 is invalid. If you want to use the
Bluetooth function of the BTS001, you have to unplug in 3.5mm
audio cable.
• If you plug in a music player to the input socket of BTS001 while it
is paired with a Bluetooth device, the Bluetooth device will
un-pair from the BTS001. When you unplug 3.5mm audio cable,
the BTS001 will re-pair to the last Bluetooth device.
4. Making calls with BTS001
When your cell phone is enabled with the Bluetooth profile HFP, and
paired with the BTS001, you can make calls and remotely control
calls using the BTS001.
1) Pair your cell phone with the BTS001. After successfully establish-
ing an HFP connection (Blue LED flashes once every 2 seconds),
you can make calls with BTS001.
2) Redial last number: Press and hold for 1 second.
3) Cancel calling: When calling, short press to cancel calling.
4) Answer call: When ringing, short press to answer call.
5) Reject call: When ringing, press and hold for about 2 seconds
to reject call.
6) End call: Short press to end call during a call.

6. LED Indicator
Care and maintenance
• Do not expose the speaker to liquid, moisture or humidity.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents to clean the speaker.
• Do not expose the speaker to extremely high or low tempera-
tures.
• Do not dispose of the speaker in a fire.
• Do not drop or exert excessive force on the speaker as you may
damage the internal circuit.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the speaker as it will void the
warranty.

Troubleshooting
My speaker will not turn on
• The batteries are low and needs to be changed or the AC adapter
connection is loose.
The sound is cutting out
• The average operating distance for this Class II device is 33 feet
(10 meters). Interior walls, wireless routers, and cordless phones
can reduce this operating distance.
I cannot pair the speaker with a device.
• This speaker will only work with devices that support the
following Bluetooth profiles: A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP
• Be sure to select “BTS001” from the list of found devices. Some
phones require you to scroll through a list of previously paired
devices.
I still cannot get my speaker to work

LIMITED WARRANTY
Alva Corp (“Alva”) warrants that (a) its Stereo Bluetooth Speaker
(Model BTS001) will perform substantially in accordance with the
accompanying written materials for a period of 6 months from the
date of receipt and (b) that Model BTS001 (product) will be free from
defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service
for a period of 6 months. In the event applicable law imposes any
implied warranties, the implied warranty period is limited to (180)
days from the date of receipt. Some jurisdictions do not allow such
limitations on duration of an implied warranty, so the above
limitation may not apply. Alva Corp and its suppliers’ entire liability
and Customer’s exclusive remedy shall be, at Alva Corp’s option,
either (a) repair, or (b) replacement of the product that does not
meet this Limited Warranty and which is returned to the Alva Corp
with a copy of Customer’s receipt. This Limited Warranty is void if
failure of the product has resulted from accident, abuse, disassembly,
or misapplication. Any replacement product will be warranted for the
remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30) days,
whichever is longer. This warranty is valid only to the original
purchaser of the product in the United States.

If you purchased the product from a retailer or web retailer and you
are returning the product within their return policy period, return
the product with original receipt to the retailer or web retailer.
If you are outside the retailers return policy, contact the Alva support
center to receive a Return Authorization number and return address.
Returned packages will not be accepted without a Return Authoriza-
tion number.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
Normal wear and tear, damage from accidents, negligence, misuse,
abuse, acts of God, commercial use, modifications, attempts to repair,
connection to an incorrect voltage supply, or cosmetic damage. This
warranty also does not cover product sold refurbished or with all
faults.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Alva Corp (“Alva”) warrants that (a) its Stereo Bluetooth Speaker
(Model BTS001) will perform substantially in accordance with the
accompanying written materials for a period of 6 months from the
date of receipt and (b) that Model BTS001 (product) will be free from
defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service
for a period of 6 months. In the event applicable law imposes any
implied warranties, the implied warranty period is limited to (180)
days from the date of receipt. Some jurisdictions do not allow such
limitations on duration of an implied warranty, so the above
limitation may not apply. Alva Corp and its suppliers’ entire liability
and Customer’s exclusive remedy shall be, at Alva Corp’s option,
either (a) repair, or (b) replacement of the product that does not
meet this Limited Warranty and which is returned to the Alva Corp
with a copy of Customer’s receipt. This Limited Warranty is void if
failure of the product has resulted from accident, abuse, disassembly,
or misapplication. Any replacement product will be warranted for the
remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30) days,
whichever is longer. This warranty is valid only to the original
purchaser of the product in the United States.

Returned packages will not be accepted without a Return Authoriza-
tion number.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
Normal wear and tear, damage from accidents, negligence, misuse,
abuse, acts of God, commercial use, modifications, attempts to repair,
connection to an incorrect voltage supply, or cosmetic damage. This
warranty also does not cover product sold refurbished or with all
faults.
