Thank you very much for buying the ADRBT414. In order for you to get the
full enjoyment from your new Amadeus DAB+/FM Radio with Bluetooth we
have compiled this instruction manual cataloguing all it’s features and
benefits. We therefore recommend you read this instruction manual
through carefully before you begin to use it. Please keep this user
manual in a safe place for future reference.

1. Safety Precautions:
Do not drop the ADRBT414 and do not expose it to liquid, moisture or
humidity. These might damage your device.
If the ADRBT414 is moved from a cold environment into awarmer one,
let it adapt to the new temperature before operate the device.
Otherwise, condensation could cause damage to the device.
Do not use the ADRBT414 in a dusty environment as dust can
damage the interior electronic components and lead to malfunctions
in the device.
Protect the ADRBT414 from strong vibrations and place it on stable
surfaces.
Do not attempt to disassemble the unit.
Only use the power adaptor delivered with the ADRBT414 .
Never touch the power plug with wet hands and never pull on the power
cable when pulling the plug out of the power socket.
Make sure the electrical voltage specified on the ADRBT414 and its
power plug is corresponds to the voltage of the power sockets in your
home before use. Incorrect voltage will destroy the device. Check with
your distributor if in doubt.
If the ADRBT414 is not used for a long period of time, disconnect it from
the power supply by unplugging at the mains. This is to avoid the risk
of fire.
Always power off the ADRBT414 when cleaning it.
Never use any harsh or strong solvents to clean the ADRBT414 since
these may damage the surface of the device. Use of a dry, soft cloth is
appropriate; however, if the ADRBT414 is extremely dirty, it may be
wiped off with a very slightly ‘moist’ cloth. Make sure the device is dried
off thoroughly after cleaning.

If it is necessary to ship the ADRBT414 , it should be transported it in it's
original packaging. We therefore recommend you keep the package for
thispurpose.

If after many years of service you need to dispose of
this device, please note that it should not be thrown
away with normal household waste. You need to bring the
unit to a reception point specifically designated for the
recycling of electrical devices. Consult your local authority
or nearest electrical retailer for location of the nearest
collection point.

Remote Controller:
Getting Started
Remember to pull out the clear plastic tab from
the battery compartment before using the remote.
To remove the battery from the remote, use your
thumb to press and pull it out. Replace it with a
CR2025 type 3V battery, taking care to insert it
with the positive (+) side up.
Caution: Risk of explosion of battery is replaced
by an incorrect type.
Dispose of used batteries according to the
instructions.

After checking voltage compatibility, connect the power adaptor to the
back of the ADRBT414 and plug into power socket. Switch it on at the back
of the ADRBT414.

When using the device for the first time, the radio will go into DAB
mode automatically and start a scan for DAB+ stations.
The unit is automatically programed to seek a DAB signal (or FM RDS)
Once the radio can lock into a signal it will set the date and time for you
which is correct for your location. As a back up there is a manual option to
set the date time (see Time Set up over page)

Auto update mode:
If you prefer to update the time and date automatically from DAB or FM

receiving a DAB station or FM station with RDS.
If the power supply in interrupted for any reason and then resumed the date
and time setting will default to: (00:00 / 00-00-0000) so that you will need to
reset the date time settings again.
We therefore recommend that you set your radio to ‘auto update’. Then if the
power is interrupted your radio will automatically reset the date and time as
soon as it starts to receive a DAB/FM (with RDS) signal.

Backlight Function:
To set the backlight On level and Dim level, and the duration of
operation before auto switch off to: (On/10/20/30/45/60/90/120/180
sec). When the timeout period is set, the backlight will
automatically change from ‘on’ level to ‘dim’ level.

DRC:If you are listening to music with a high dynamic range in a noisy
environment, you may wish to compress the audio dynamic range.T his
makes quiet sounds louder, and loud sounds quieter.
In the DRC mode you can select from DRC ‘low’, ‘high’ or ‘off’

FM:
The icon on the toprightcorner of the display shows the strength of the
FM signal.

4. Troubleshooting Chart:
