Befo re you use your Move R3 ,re ad the following safety instructions.
1. Read all the safety informationand instructions before using the product. Whenpassing this product to someone,
include all documents.
2. If you do no t follow the operating instructions p rovided, it maycompromise the safety of your product and this may
invalidate the warranty.
3. Do not expose the product to dripping or splashing.Do not place objects fille d withliquids,suchas vases, onthe
product.
If liq uid or water spills onto the p roduct,sw itchit off immed iately and contact your deale r.
If you are using a mains-powered adapte r,do not touchthe product withwet hands.
4. T he internalb attery inthis product is no t use r rep lace ab le. Do not e xpose the battery to e xcessive heat or naked
flames. Ensure ade quate ventilationand airflow around the product,p articuarly when charging. Dispose o f the
product inaccordance withlocalenvironmental rules.
5. Using the product inrooms o r climates w ith high humidity and te mperatures may cause condensation to fo rm inside
the product, whichcandamage the product.Use the product inmoderate climates only.
6. Do not use your product in extremelyhot or cold temperature. Keep the de vice away from heat sources, suchas
radiators o r gas/electric fires. Do not exp ose your product to naked flame s,such as lighted candles.
7. To charge your product,only connect it to asupplyso urce that meets the safety isolationrequirements of
EN60065 or E N60950-1 fo r an accessible safety e xtralow voltage circuit. For this conne ction,use e ithe r the
supp lied micro-USB cable o r asuitably CE ap proved powe r adapter withthe correct USBoutput rating.
8. Powe r the p roduct using ane xternal 5 V DC 1 A powe r sup ply. The maximum outp ut current is 1 A,p rote cted b y an
internalcircuit.
9. Before you charge your product,e nsure that the available sup ply voltage corresponds withthe required
operational voltage of the product.
10. Disconnect your product from the charging p ower supply if you will not use your product for a lo ng period of time
(fo r example, if you are g oing onholiday).
11. Always unplug your product from the charging power supplybe fore cleaning. When cleaning the product, do not
use any type of abrasive pad or abrasive cleaning solutions as these may damage the product's surface.
12. To re duce the risk of electricshock,d o not remove any screws. The product doe s not containany user-se rviceable
parts inside .Product repairs should only be carried out by autho rised p ersonne l.

To prevent possible hearing damage,do not listen at highvolume le vels for long periods of time.Consistent
e xposure to high volume s w he nusing headp ho ne s can damage yo ur he aring . Always che ck the vo lume level
before you inse rt he adphone s into your ears.Use of headphone s other thanthose supplied by Pure may
expose youto he aring damage, as the high level volume warning onthe de vice maybe inaccurate .Use of
he adphones while operating a vehicle is not recommende d and is illegalinsome areas.If youfind that listening
to your Move is distracting w hile operating any type o f vehicle or pe rfo rming anactivity that req uires your full
atte ntion,stop liste ning to your Move.

Controls
1 Volume Press to change the volume.

7 Presets Press to listen to your presets. Press and hold to store the current radio
station to a preset.
8 Power/Lock Slide to the position to lock the buttons. Slide to the middle position to
unlock the buttons.
Slide to the position to switch on your Move. Slide to the position and
hold to switch off your Move.

Getting started
Before using your Move, read the safety information on page2.
Charging your Move
1. Connect the micro-USB cable to the micro-USB port on your Move.
2. Connect the other end of the micro-USB cable to a power outlet, using a USB
power adapter. You can also charge the battery by connecting your Move to
a computer's USB port.
The icon on the display shows the battery charging.
Switching on for the first time
Before you switch on your Move for the first time, charge the battery for at least
3hours.

1. Connect the headphones into the headphone socket on your Move.
The headphones are also the aerial for your Move.
2. Slide the Power/Lock switch into the position, then release the switch.
Your Move switches on and starts tuning to digital radio stations. After the
autotune is complete, you can start listening to digital radio.
Locking and unlocking your Move
You can lock the buttons on your Move, so you don't accidentally press a button.
When your Move is switched off, lock the buttons so you don't accidentally
switch it on.

1. To lock the buttons on your Move, slide the Power/Lock switch into the
position.
2. To unlock the buttons on your Move, slide the Power/Lock switch into the
middle position.

Digital radio
Listening to digital radio
When you are listening to FMradio, you can change to digital radio.
1. Press Menu.
2. Press and Select to choose Digital radio.
Changing the radio station
1. Press or to browse the available radio stations.
2. Press Select to choose a radio station.
Performing an autotune
When you first switch on your Move, it automatically searches for radio stations. To
search for digital radio stations again, perform an autotune.
1. Press Menu.
2. Press and Select to choose Autotune.

FM radio
Listening to FMradio
When you are listening to digitalradio, you can change to FMradio.
1. Press Menu.
2. Press and Select to choose FM radio.
Changing the radio station
lTo move to the previous or next radio station, press and hold or .
lTo tune to a specific radio station frequency, press or to increase or
decrease the frequency. The frequency steps up or down by 0.05MHz.
Changing search settings for radio stations
When you press and hold to change radio stations, you can include all radio
stations or only include radio stations with a strong signal.
1. Press Menu.
2. Press and Select to choose Scan setting.
3. Press and Select to choose Strong stations only or All stations.

Changing between stereo and mono reception
By default, your Move uses stereo reception for FMradio. If radio stations have a
weak signal, mono reception may improve the signal strength.
1. Press Menu.
2. Press and Select to choose Stereo.
3. Press and Select to choose FM stereo or Mono.

Presets
You can store your favourite radio stations as presets.
On the front of your Move, there are three preset buttons. Use 1or 2for quick
access to your favourite radio stations. Use 3+ to open a list of all your presets.
You can save up to 10 digital radio stations and up to 10 FM radio stations in the
presets list.
Storing presets to preset1 or2
1. Tune to the radio station you want to store.
2. Press and hold 1or 2until Preset stored is displayed.
If there is already a radio station saved to the preset you’ve selected, the
new station replaces it.

1. Tune to the radio station you want to store.
2. Press and hold 3+ until the preset list is displayed.
3. Press and Select to choose a preset number.
If there is already a radio station saved to the preset you’ve selected, the

lTo listen to any preset, press3+ to open the preset list. Press and Select to
choose a preset number.

Timers
Setting a sleep timer
The sleep timer switches off your Move after a set amount of time.
1. Press Menu.
2. Press and Select to choose Sleep timer.
3. Press and Select to choose the duration of the timer.
is shown on the display and the timer starts counting down.
To cancel the sleep timer, enter the Sleep timer menu and choose Sleep off.

The current value for most settings is indicated on the display by an asterisk(*).
Clock settings
Setting the time and date
1. Press Menu.
2. Press and Select to choose Clock> Set time/date.
3. Press and Select to set the time and then the date.
Changing the time or date format
1. Press Menu.
2. Press and Select to choose Clock.
3. Choose whether to change the time format or date format.
lTo change the time format, press and Select to choose Set 12/24
hour.
lTo change the date format, press and Select to choose Set date
format.
