Read these instructions carefully and
retain them for future use. If this product
is passed to a third party, then these
instructions must be included.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to
persons including the following:
WARNING Test on known live circuit within
the rated AC voltage range of the product before
each use to ensure it is in good working order.
WARNING The safety features of this
product may not protect the user if not used in
accordance with this user manual.
WARNING Verification of live circuit should
not be dependent on testing with a non-contact
voltage testers. Such verification should be
done using a 2-pole voltage tester according to
UL 61243-3.
WARNING This product should only be used
within the specified measurement ranges and in
low-voltage installations up to 1000 V~.

4
EN
• This product must be used by trained users
only.
• Insulation type and thickness, distance from
the voltage source, shielded wires, and other
factors may affect reliable operation. If in doubt,
use other methods to verify live voltage.
• Do not use if the product appears damaged or
if it is not working properly. If in doubt, replace
the product.
• Use caution with voltages above 30 V~ as a
electric shock hazard may exist.
• Comply with all applicable safety codes. Use
approved personal protective equipment when
working near live circuits − especially with
regard to the possibility of arc flash hazards.
• Do not operate the product after a low battery
warning was triggered. Replace batteries
immediately.
• Do not attempt repairs. There are no user
serviceable parts.
• The light source in this product is not
replaceable.
• Do not look directly into the light source.

5
EN
Battery Warnings
• Always insert batteries correctly with regards
to polarity (+ and –) marked on the battery and
the product.
• Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of
different types or brands.
• Exhausted batteries should be immediately
removed from product and properly disposed.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
• Remove batteries from product if it is not to be

Intended Use
• This tester is intended to test the voltage at
insulated cables (non-contact) in the 12 V~ to
1000 V~ range.
• This tester may be used only under the
conditions and for the purposes for which it
was designed.
• This tester is intended to be used in dry indoor
areas only.
• No liability will be accepted for damages
resulting from improper use or non-compliance
with these instructions.
Operation
NOTICE The tester is designed with high
sensitivity. Static electricity or other sources of
energy may randomly activate the sensor. This is
normal operation.
Switching the product on
Press the on/off button . The tester beeps once
and "Working" indicator is shown on the display.
The "Working" indicator flashes every 2 seconds as
the tester is performing a self-test. If a self-test fail,
the product beeps, the "Working" indicator flashes
5 times and then the products switches off.

9
EN
Switching the product off
Press the on/off button again. The tester beeps
twice and the display goes off.
NOTICE If the on/off button is pressed and
held for more than 5 seconds, it is regarded as an
error. The tester beeps twice and then it switches
off.
Auto power-off
To conserve battery life, the tester automatically
switches off after approximately 5 minutes of
inactivity.
Switching the audio alarm off
With the tester off, press and hold the on/off button
until the LED indicator lights up yellow and red.
To switch the audio alarm back on, switch the
tester off and then on again.
Test operation
Before each use:
• Make sure the "Working" indicator is on and
flashes every 2 seconds.
• Test on known live circuit within the rated AC
voltage range of the product.

10
EN
High voltage mode (100 V~ to 1000 V~)
Place the tip of the product near a voltage source.
If the product detects voltage within its detection
range, the LED indicator flashes red and the audio
alarm sounds rapidly.
Low voltage mode (12 V~ to 1000 V~)
Press and hold the on/off button for 2 seconds.
The LED indicator lights up yellow to indicate that
tester is operating in low voltage mode. Place the
tip of the product near a voltage source. If the
tester detects voltage within its detection range,
the yellow LED turns off, the red LED flashes and
the audio alarm beeps rapidly. The flash rate and
beeping rate increases as the tip gets closer to the
voltage source. If the tester detects high voltage,
it will automatically switch over to the high voltage
mode.
NOTICE The conductors in electrical cords
are often twisted. For best results, rub the tip along
a length of the cord to ensure getting the tip in
close proximity to the live conductor.
NOTICE The tester cannot determine the
actual voltage. The voltage level where the product
switches from the low to high voltage mode is
affected by insulation type and thickness, distance
from the voltage source, and other factors.

11
EN
Low battery indication
Replace the batteries if the "Working" indicator
does not lights up. When the product is on and
the batteries are too low for reliable operation, the
product beeps 3 times, the "Working" indicator
flashes red 3 times and then it switches off.
Replace batteries immediately.
Flashlight
Press the flashlight button to switch the
flashlight on or off.
Changing Batteries
1. Push down the locking tab and remove the
battery compartment cover.
2. Insert 2x AAA 1.5 V batteries correctly with
regards to polarity (+ and –) marked on the
battery and the product.

12
EN
3. Refit the battery compartment cover.
4. Test on known live circuit within the rated AC
voltage range of the product.
Cleaning and Maintenance
NOTICE Switch the product off before
cleaning.
NOTICE During cleaning do not immerse the
product in water or other liquids. Never hold the
product under running water.
Cleaning
• To clean the product, wipe with a soft, slightly
moist cloth.
• Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes,
abrasive scourers, metal or sharp utensils to
