1. Unpack the grill and other necessary parts from the box.
2. Remove any unwanted packaging materials such as cardboard, plastics or
styrofoam.
3. Wipe clean all the parts with a soft damp cloth or sponge and warm water.
Rinse and dry thoroughly. DO NOT IMMERSE THE GRILL PLATE OR THE
TEMPERATURE PROBE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
4. Place the base on a heat resistant flat, stable surface in a well-ventilated area.
5. Place the drip tray directly onto the base.
6. Place the grill on the base to line up the temperature receptacle in the
opening on either side.
7. Make sure the temperature probe is turned off and insert it into the
receptacle with the power knob facing up.
DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE MATERIAL TO CLEAN THE SURFACE
DO NOT IMMERSE THE GRILL PLATE OR THE TEMPERATURE PROBE INTO
WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID AT ANY TIME

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed.
PLEASE READ AND SAVE ALL
INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE
ELECTRIC SMOKELESS GRILL.
KEEP AWAY FROM WATER!
1. Read all instructions before use.
2. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse grill, probe, power cord or
plug in water or any other liquid. This is an electrical appliance. To avoid the risk
of electrical shock or serious personal injury, always operate with dry hands.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near
children. This grill is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the
use of the grill by a person responsible for their safety.
4. Do not use the grill outdoors or while standing in a damp area. It is for household
use only.
5. Do not use the grill with a damaged cord or outlet plug. Do not use the grill if it
has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped in water. Return the grill
to the service center for examination, repair or refund or contact customer
service.
6. Do not attempt to change accessories while the grill is on.
7. Do not handle the plug or the grill with wet hands.
8. Use the grill only as described in this manual. The use of accessory attachments
not recommended by the manufacturer may cause damage to the grill or personal
injuries.
9. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and
moving parts.
10. Always attach the temperature probe to the grill before plugging cord into the
wall outlet.
11. Do not move the grill while in use.

12. Always clean the grill after each use. Never use abrasive cleaning products, oven
cleaners or scrubbing pads to clean the grill. The non-stick coating can become
damaged.
13. Do not clean the grill with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off from the pad
and touch electrical parts, creating a risk of electrical shock.
14. Caution should be taken when handling this grill during and immediately after
cooking. Do not leave the grill unattended while in use.
15. When in use, keep the grill a minimum of 10-12 inches away from walls and do
not use under any overhang such as a cupboard. Place on a stable, horizontal,
heat resistant surface in a well-ventilated area.
16. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs when available.
17. Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
18. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or
other hot liquids.
19. To disconnect, always turn to OFF first, then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
Never leave the grill connected to the power outlet when not in use or when
cleaning.
20. Do not abuse the power cord. Never pull the power cord to disconnect the outlet
plug from an outlet; instead, grasp the outlet plug and pull to disconnect.
21. Do not let cord hang over edge of counter or touch hot surfaces.
22. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
23. Do not pour any liquids onto the grilling plate, as this could cause a fire.
24. Do not place cooking utensils on the grilling plate when it is hot, during cooking,
keeping warm or reheating.
25. Use only suitable utensils for non-stick surfaces to avoid scratching the surface.
26. Do not cover any part of the grill with aluminum foil. This will cause the appliance
to overheat.
27. Do not place food directly on the heating element. Always make sure the
appliance is fully assembled prior to use.
28. Never use the appliance without the grill plate and drip tray in place. Always fully
assemble the appliance prior to plugging into the power outlet and switching it
on.
29. Do not use the appliance if the grilling plate or drip tray is warped or deformed in
any way.
30. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the
appliance.

Safety instructions
WARNING: Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions
listed below may result in electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury. The
warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover
all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the
operator that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built into this
product but must be supplied by the operator.
CAUTION: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury
resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords
are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their
use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution is necessary. Also, the
cord must be: (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125V, and at least 13 A., 1625 W.,
and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.
Polarized plug
NOTE: This grill has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
•As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit
in a polarized outlet only one way.
•If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
•If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
defeat this safety feature.
Electric power
If the electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliances may not
operate properly. The appliances should be operated on a separate electrical circuit
from other operating appliances.
Safety warning
Although your grill is easy to operate, for your safety, the warnings below must be
followed:
1. Do not place the grill near a heat source.
2. Do not unplug by pulling on the power supply cord.
3. The grill must be unplugged:
A. Before any cleaning or maintenance.
B. If it appears to be faulty.

CAUTION: Use caution when cooking. Hot oil, grease or juices may splatter when
grilling. Do not touch any hot surfaces. Do not attempt to cut food on the grill
during the cooking process.
NOTE: During the first use, the grill may emit a slight odor and you may see
some smoke coming off of the grilling plate. This is normal and due to the
newness of the product. The odor and smoke will dissipate with use.
1. Place the grill on a flat, stable, heat resistance surface. Make sure the grill is
clean, dry, assembled and in a well-ventilated area.
2. Make sure the temperature probe is turned off and insert it into the
receptacle with the power knob facing up.
3. Adjust the temperature probe to the desired temperature.
LOW = 270°F –340°F
MED = 340°F –410°F
HIGH = 410°F –480°F
WARM = 270°F
NOTE: The power indicator light is also the temperature indicator for the grill.
The probe light does turn on and off to help keep the grill at the correct
temperature.
4. To help reduce smoke, put a small amount of water to cover the low surface
of the drip tray (no more than ¼ cup).
5. For best results, preheat the grill for approximately 5 minutes.
6. When in use, keep the grill a minimum of 10-12 inches away from walls and
do not use under any overhang such as a cupboard.
7. Coat the grill surface with non-stick cooking spray.
8. Place food directly on the grill. Cook food to desired doneness.
9. Do not overload the grill surface.
10. If cooking small items, place on metal or wooden skewers to avoid food falling
through the openings of the grill. To prevent the wooden skewers from
burning, soak them in water for about 10 minutes beforehand .
11. Do not move the grill while in use.
12. When cooking is finished, turn the temperature control knob to OFF and
remove the plug from the wall outlet.
13. IMPORTANT: Wait until the grill has cooled down completely before removing
the temperature probe or attempting to clean the unit.
14. CAUTION: Do not touch any hot surfaces after cooking as it will remain hot
while it’s cooling down. Wait until completely cooled.

ALWAYS make sure that the unit is set to the OFF position when not in use and
when unplugging from the power outlet.
Cooking tips
•For best results, always preheat the grill for approximately 5 minutes to make
sure the grill is hot. This will help to seal in all of the natural juices
•If using bamboo or wooden skewers, soak skewers in water at least 30
minutes before use to prevent burning.
•Use only nylon, plastic, or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the non-stick
surface. Never cut food on the non-stick surface.
•Cut food into small and equal pieces to ensure more even cooking.
•Frozen food should always be thawed before it is grilled.
•If you grill vegetables, fish, or lean meat, spray the grilling surface with a
cooking spray. If you are grilling meat with any amount of fat, or if the food
has been marinated, there is no need to treat the grill prior to cooking.
•If using a marinade with oil, place grill near an exhaust hood. Oil or fat may
produce smoke.
Use the following table for reference only when using the grill. Refer to user
instructions for LOW, MED and HIGH temperatures.

PROBLEM
SOLUTION
SMOKE DURING GRILLING
Grilling fatty foods:
When grill fatty meats or any other food
with fatty ingredients, you will notice
some smoke emitting from the food.
Some splashing may occur once it hits the
heating element. It will burnm therefore
producing smoke.
SOLUTION 1: FILL DRIP TRAY WITH WATER
To help reduce smoke. put small amount
of water to cover the low
surface of the drip tray (no more than ¼
cup).
SOLUTION 2: VENTILATE
To help get rid of smoke, place the grill
near a ventilation hood.
SOLUTION 3: CLEAN DRIP TRAY
When you are grilling multiple batches, or
cooking with excess oil, some of the food
may remain on the surface of the grill or
fall inside the drip tray. Make sure to wipe
the surface of the grill and clean the drip
tray often.
CAUTION:
Grill plate and drip tray will be hot. Let
cool off before cleaning.
SOLUTION 4: MODIFY FOOD PREP
If you use marinades for your meats and
vegetables prior to grilling, reduce
the amount of oil you use to avoid burning
and smoke. The grill surface is non-stick
and does not require a lot of oil.
FOOD KEEPS FALLING THROUGH
THE SPACES BETWEEN THE GRILL BARS.
SOLUTION: CUT INGREDIENTS INTO
LARGER PIECES
To prevent food from falling into the drip
tray during cooking, do not place
small pieces of food on the surface of the
grill. If pieces fall through, turn
off the grill and let it cool off.
CAUTION:
Grill plate and drip tray will be hot.
Let cool off before cleaning. Lift the grill
plate and remove the food pieces.
